It will be on at 9AM. However, I will be in my pre-calculus test till around 10AM. I will post it on here with the caps at 10. If you cannot wait (and I won’t be able to either) – you can watch it at 9AM HERE!
Taylor Lautner may not like shedding his clothes all that much, but the fans won’t be complaining. The 18-year-old actor, who plays Nathan in the upcoming Abduction, will again be going shirtless. According to Life & Style mag, in the script Nathan undresses so his love interest, Karen, can remove shards of glass from his skin after he’s wounded in an explosion. Taylor gushed, “It’s weird. It’s kind of embarrassing.”

However, I’m going to be at work. Me or Emily will post it when we get home from either school or work (I work until 6PM – however I’m going to try to post it from my Blackberry). If it’s not up – go look for the trailer over HERE at EclipseMovie.Org – we’ll have screen caps and whatnot up later!

We’ve just learned it’s being released on Thursday, March 11th at 6:00AM PST / 9:00AM EST. The Eclipse trailer will really be more of a teaser. It’ll clock in at only 90 seconds long and, as for what it will contain, werewolves, vampires, and Bella looking at one of those two possibilities longingly is a sure bet.
But with the Twilight Flu being what it is, odds are you won’t want to wait till Thursday, so there will also be a teaser for the teaser released on Wednesday, March 10th. That’ll only be a 10 second long version of the 90 second teaser, long enough for Tyler Lautner to flex his muscles or something. That shows up in the morning at around 9AM PST.
DirecTV, who hosted the “Celebrity Beach Bowl” with Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz, has just announced that it will be hosting exclusive The Twilight Saga: New Moon footage on the night of the film’s release to DVD.
According to the announcement, “DirecTV will offer a special midnight premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon for pay-per-view on Mar. 20, which includes behind-the-scenes bonus footage not available from cable networks. Bonus featurettes include “The Subtle Details” (behind-the-scenes look at New Moon’s production design), and “Chris Weitz Takes the Helm” (a look at the transition from ‘Twilight’ director Catherine Hardwicke and ‘New Moon’ director Chris Weitz).”
The feature, the announcement states, will be available in “1080p HD version . . . for $5.99 and the standard-def for $4.99 starting midnight, March 20.”
Sorry guys. I know there are new outtakes and whatnot and I do have them. However, I can’t post them on the site due to the request of the photographer and magazine.
The young independent studio hits its stride with Oscar wins and commercial success. Six wins at the Oscars for Kathryn Bigelow’s Iraq war drama, “The Hurt Locker,” capped off an extraordinary year at the cinema for Summit Entertainment. From the blockbuster successes of “New Moon” and “Knowing” to the critical triumph of “Hurt Locker,” the independent studio has firmly established itself as a major Hollywood presence with a bright future ahead of it.
“Summit has become a premier player in Hollywood after [the Oscars],” said Jeff Bock, box-office analyst for Exhibitor Relations. “To do that these days, you need two things: a blockbuster franchise and a Best Picture statuette. Well, Summit has both of those now with ‘Twilight’ and ‘The Hurt Locker.’ Once you establish a healthy line of income, and are known as a haven where artistic merit actually means something, you’ve set yourself up for a long stay in the industry.”
Coming off a 2008 that brought Summit its first breakout hit with “Twilight,” the studio stumbled out of the gate in 2009. The sci-fi action flick “Push,” starring Chris Evans, produced an anemic $10.1 million opening (debuting at #6, behind “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” in its fourth weekend) and ultimately failed to earn more domestically than its $38 million production budget. Little over a month later, the Cam Gigandet-starring “Never Back Down” again served up a heaping portion of disappointment for Summit when it debuted with an $8.6 million weekend and ended up grossing only $24.9 million.
Was the studio just a one-hit franchise wonder? Could Summit launch a commercially successful film that wasn’t based on a novel by “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer? Those questions were put to rest at the end of March with Nicolas Cage’s sci-fi thriller “Knowing.” Directed by Alex Proyas (“I, Robot”), the film opened at #1 at the box office with $24.6 million, beating out Julia Robert’s “Duplicity” and Paul Rudd’s “I Love You, Man.” The following weekend, “Knowing” dropped a less-than-average 40 percent, nabbing another $14.7 million on its way to $80 million in total domestic sales (and $183.3 million worldwide).
Summit had arrived. By the end of the year, after releasing nine new films, Summit was the seventh-highest-grossing studio with $482.5 million in sales. How did that happen? It wasn’t because the studio didn’t suffer some box-office duds. Both the animated tale “Astro Boy” and “Sorority Row” tanked. Rather, the achievement can be traced to two words: “New” and “Moon.”
In November, “New Moon” busted out the biggest opening weekend of all time. Its $142.9 million debut was a huge increase over the opening of “Twilight” ($69.6 million) and pushed it toward the fourth spot in 2009’s box-office race, closely behind “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”
Months earlier, “The Hurt Locker” had opened in four theaters to wide critical acclaim. The film kept adding theaters but never took off commercially; its largest weekend brought in only $1.9 million. After 18 weekends in theaters, Bigelow’s film has grossed only $14.7 million.
But as awards season picked up, “The Hurt Locker” began to stand out. It won big at the Gotham Awards in early December and went on to secure key wins with the Directors Guild of America and the Broadcast Film Critics, before nabbing nine Oscar nominations. On Sunday night, Bigelow became the first woman in history to win a Best Director Oscar. These victories and the increased exposure that comes as a result should greatly increase the movie’s commercial prospects in theaters and on DVD.
As Bock said, “Now if only [Summit] could figure out a way to make money from an Iraq war film,” adding that the weak box-office performance of “The Hurt Locker” notwithstanding, “I think a lot of auteur filmmakers will be taking meetings with Summit in the very near future.”
Combine indie credit with broad commercial prospects in the coming months, and you can see why 2010 is shaping up to be another stellar year for Summit. Did we mention that “Eclipse,” the third film in the “Twilight” franchise, arrives in June?
Twilight star Taylor Lautner has revealed that he would be willing to ditch his muscular physique for a future movie role.
The actor transformed his image before filming last year’s Twilight instalment New Moon in order to reflect the physical changes of his character Jacob Black.
Discussing the challenge of bulking up, Lautner told Top Of The Pops magazine: “The only reason I did it is because the character required it and I love the character.
“So, in a year from now, if I fall in love with a character that requires me to lose weight, I’m ready to do it.”
The 18-year-old has previously confessed that he is wary of being seen as “just a body” following his shirtless scenes in New Moon.
Lautner was recently linked to forthcoming action movie Abduction.

For months on end there has been speculation about “Breaking Dawn,” and who would direct the final chapter of the saga.
Gossip Cop has received official confirmation from Chris Weitz’s rep that he will not be directing the film(s).
Fans had hoped for some time Weitz, who directed “New Moon” (and “The Golden Compass” and “About A Boy” before that), would helm “Breaking Dawn,” but it’s a no go.
Weitz is next slated to direct a personal project about an undocumented Mexican laborer that he himself is partially funding. That film begins next month.
So loved was Weitz there was even a rumor – albeit false – that stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner had written a joint endorsement, urging Summit Entertainment to lock down the director for the final installment.
Ultimately, it was Weitz’s decision.
As Gossip Cop reported last month, though officially no decision has been made about whether to split “Breaking Dawn” into two films, a well-place source said dividing the final book into two movies is “the direction that it’s going in.”
We’re also told Summit is currently looking at top-tier directors to helm the final “Twilight” film(s).
Country music sweetheart Taylor Swift is gracing the cover of ELLE’s April issue. In the mag, Swift dishes on Taylor Lautner, media scrutiny, her fears, and what’s behind her lyrics.
taylor-swift-elle-black-white.jpg”I’ve had countless opportunities to do some really bad things,” confesses Swift. “And then people start combing through everything I do trying to find the next mistake and misperception, which leads to more scrutiny …. So it’s not only about your own moral compass, but the moral compasses of other people that you don’t know.”
One of her biggest fears: “Me making a bunch of bad decisions and embarking on a painful, slow, devastating tailspin.”
As far as we can see, country’s pop princess isn’t making any of those these days. In fact, she’s making a whole bunch of good decisions when it comes to her music. She just took home four Grammys – including Best Album for “Fearless” – at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. For Swift, her lyrics come from the heart.
“I like to categorize the various levels of heartbreak. I’ve only had that happen once. A letdown is worth a few songs. A heartbreak is worth a few albums.”
And of course — who does she think is hot? “Um, well.Taylor Lautner.”
We have to say, Ms. Swift looks absolutely smoking in her pics. We barely recognized her in the black & white photo because that’s a really different look for her — but it’s totally hot.
Chris Weitz, who directed New Moon, the second installment in the Twilight series, says he has read the script for this summer’s third installment, Eclipse – and that one scene in particular is a scorcher.
“I’m looking forward to the sleeping bag scene, I gotta say,” Weitz tells PEOPLE. “That’s going to be very steamy.”
In Eclipse’s fan-favorite “tent scene,” – spoiler alert! – a freezing Bella, who is on the run from evil vamp Victoria, gets a warm-up from werewolf Jacob when he squeezes into her sleeping bag – while a jealous Edward looks on. The movie will open June 30.
Weitz also says he is eager to see Edward’s vampire “parents,” played by Elizabeth Reaser and Peter Facinelli, sink their teeth into Eclipse’s more intense action.
“I have a special interest in seeing Peter and Elizabeth tear people’s heads off,” he says with a laugh. “Knowing them, and how kind of kooky and delightful they are, I’m going to find seeing them being ultra-violent very interesting indeed.”
Weitz, who is not helming Eclipse – director David Slade is taking over – says he is showing his Twilight pride on Oscar Sunday by voting for Anna Kendrick, who plays Bella’s pal Jessica in the series. (She is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role opposite George Clooney in Up in the Air.)
“I voted for her of course, because she’s my homie,” says Weitz, adding that New Moon – which is being released on DVD and Blu-Ray March 20 – would have been up for more awards if the Academy had a different voting body.
“If only the Academy were composed of teenage girls, I might be looking at a Best Picture nom,” he joked. “It’s a scandal that there are not more teenage girls in the Academy.”
What does Kellan Lutz think about the idea of releasing “Breaking Dawn” in 3-D, when (or if) it’s made? Well, he’s not too keen on the idea.
“I heard they were talking about it. I don’t really care to see it in 3-D,” he told MTV News on the red carpet at Cosmopolitan magazine’s 2010 Fun Fearless Males party on Monday night in New York City.
Like Pattinson, Lutz isn’t a big fan of movies filmed in multiple dimensions. “3-D kind of hurts my eyes anyways. ‘Avatar’ was amazing in 3-D and in Imax, but I don’t think I wanna see a little baby half-vampire in 3-D,” he said, echoing a similar sentiment made by Stewart. “There’s just some scenes I just wouldn’t want to see in 3-D.”
“I’d love to see Chris Weitz come back,” he said late last year. “I just had so much fun shooting with him. I mean, obviously I would just love to do ['Breaking Dawn']. There’s no word. … Hopefully we get that phone call, and if they want to make it into five movies, I just don’t want it to end. I love my character so much.”
Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the uber-successful Twilight series, confirmed this morning that it has replaced Eclipse editor Art Jones with Nancy Richardson, the editor of Catherine Hardwicke’s original Twilight film. The studio is not placing blame on Jones, who previously worked with Eclipse director David Slade on his horror film 30 Days of Night as well as Slade’s Ellen Page-starrer Hard Candy. They do believe, however, that Slade’s material – which they call “very good” – needed a stronger edit. The studio has more confidence in Richardson, who they say understands the emotion of the characters and is an ace at balancing action with the other elements of the film.
Richardson recently completed Miley Cyrus’ upcoming romantic drama The Last Song. Eclipse is scheduled to debut on June 30.
“Eclipse” will be hitting a theater near you on June 30 and one of the film’s stars, Kellan Lutz, insisted that the film will be the perfect date-night flick. Why? Well, according to him, the third installment of the “Twilight Saga” has plenty of action to keep the boyfriends of the world entertained.
“I did [see some of 'Eclipse'] … and it’s badass,” Lutz told MTV News on the red carpet at Cosmopolitan magazine’s 2010 Fun Fearless Males party. “The action really drew me in and I think the guys are really going to like this movie.”
Fans will get a taste of the action in the trailer, set to premiere on March 12 before Robert Pattinson’s “Remember Me,” and Lutz said he is excited for Twihards to see him get his action-hero on. “… I enjoy doing action movies. I enjoy being, you know, fighting and stuff like there, but there’s a lot of action [this time around]. A lot more than the love story.”
The ‘Twilight’ star stops by ‘Today’ to chat about ‘Remember Me,’ ageless vampires and more. Robert Pattinson’s fans will see the first trailer for “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” when they go to check out his newest flick, “Remember Me,” opening March 12. But the “Twilight” star has already been treated to the film’s forthcoming trailer.
“I haven’t seen [the movie] yet. I just saw the trailer yesterday,” Pattinson told Matt Lauer when he stopped by the “Today” show on Monday (March 1).
“I don’t have anything particularly against vampires,” he responded the question of whether he’d be done with bloodsuckers after filming “Breaking Dawn,” which could be split into two movies. “I really honestly don’t mind if it’s two [movies]. They’re great fun to work on and people really like them, so I could do them for a while longer. I just don’t know if I’m going to look 17 for very much longer.”
Right now, however, Pattinson is focused on making sure he can properly promote “Remember Me.” “I’m just treading water,” he joked of trying to describe his “Rebel Without a Cause”-style character. “When I first read the script, there seemed to be something about it, it didn’t really feel like a film. There seemed like there was a reason to do it. There was something special about it, and I thought every part of it helped it become what it is.”
Pattinson talked about his headline-grabbing interview and racy photo shoot for a recent issue of Details. “If I didn’t have to do interviews, then I wouldn’t do interviews,” he said. “Nothing against anyone. I mean no one’s particularly interesting. If you just do pat answers to things, people get sick of you for that. When you try and think of something to say, then people get sick of you for that.”
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner haven’t even signed on for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn yet, but that isn’t stopping us from speculating whether or not it should be shot in 3-D! We know Kristen isn’t a fan of the idea, and now it seems Rob isn’t either! “The 3-D thing confuses me,” Rob tells MTV News. “I haven’t seen Avatar or any of these other 3-D movies yet. I remember 3-D from when I was a kid, and I can just picture it giving me a headache.
As for whether or not Rob hopes Breaking Dawn is split into two separate movies, Rob says it could go either way. “It depends on the script,” he says.
Last week a bidding war raged over Abduction, a script by Shawn Christensen with the increasingly sought-after 18-year-old Taylor Lautner attached to star and produce. Lionsgate ultimately acquired the rights for nearly $1 million and hopes to find a director in time to shoot this July. The script may go through a final polish in the next few months, but first here’s a look at what caused the studio frenzy:
An opening scene set in 1994 centers on an unknown woman gasping for air as poisonous gas floods her hotel room. Two men in masks interrogate her about the whereabouts of “The Locust.” She refuses to reveal his location and soon takes her last breath while the men watch.
Flash forward to the present as the first act establishes Nathan (Lautner), a “tee-shirt and jeans type” and an ordinary high school teenager, partying with friends, drinking underage, and scoping out girls. But he only has eyes for his next door neighbor Karen, a cheerleader in the vein of seemingly unattainable Transformers hottie Megan Fox. Nathan’s best friend Gilly, a conveniently tech savvy character, invites him to paintball and Nathan foreshadows, “Gunning down people is not my idea of a good time.”
With this stock setup comes the usual product placement. Nathan blasts away enemies in a game of Halo, iPod buds hang from his ears while he works on the roof, an iPhone records his fall into the bushes below, and the YouTube clip humiliates him with his peers. There’s no mistaking which generation these teenage characters belong to.
A school project and a few locker-side chats eventually pair Nathan and Karen on a presentation about kidnapped children. While researching on a missing-persons website, he finds a picture of himself (!) and suddenly Nathan isn’t sure who he is or who has been raising him for almost eighteen years.
We learn his “parents,” Kevin and Mara, have been hiding and protecting him from an unknown threat most of his life. That is, until a couple of shady gunmen show up at their house and start blasting away. A narrow escape puts Nathan and Karen on the run from government agents and double agents with connections to “The Locust,” Russian/Ukranian KGB operatives with a score to settle, a bounty hunter tracking him down, and the police who believe he’s response for the violence.
Nathan’s unknown origins fit into a recurring theme of secret identities that drive an amped up action adventure full of characters who aren’t who they say (or think) they are. “Who are you!” Nathan screams at a dying assailant. “Perhaps you should ask that question of yourself,” the mysterious man gasps in his last breaths.
Encounters at Nathan’s house, a train sequence, and a fight atop the Canadian National (CN) Tower should give Lautner more chances to try his own stunts. It has become hackneyed to compare an action style to Jason Bourne, but the hand-to-hand combat and chase sequences clearly recall the spy series’ influence. However, strange phone calls guiding him to safety are more reminiscent of Shia LaBeouf’s Eagle Eye and there are plot similarities to the recently shelved series Wanted.
After the initial setup, the brisk script is lined with action set pieces, but its overall tone and simplicity skew towards a younger, PG-13 audience. Of course, Lautner fans will be happy to know his character removes his shirt at least once. The script may not be worthy of a million dollar payday, but its franchise potential certainly might.
EXCLUSIVE: I’ve learned that Summit Entertainment has acquired domestic distribution rights for The Three Musketeers, a 3-D period adaptation of the Alexandre Dumas novel that will be directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. Constantin Films and Impact Pictures are producing a film that will be shot in “real 3-D.” The action will be shot in Babelsberg Studios in Germany, and on location in France. The late summer start gives Anderson a decided advantage over a rival film based on Dumas’ swordsmen that has taken root at Warner Bros. That film was conjured up by producer Lionel Wigram with a stylized take similar to the one that breathed life into Sherlock Holmes. Peter Straughan (The Men Who Stared at Goats) is writing the script.
What the Anderson-directed 3-D Musketeers won’t have is Taylor Lautner, who is in business with Summit on two more Twilight sequels and the action film Cancun. He had been offered the role, but passed last week.
