Two weeks ago Taylor Lautner’s upcoming movie slate was completely clean. Now, though, in only a short amount of time, the boy wonder has somehow managed to pick up an assortment of new projects – from films that have him rescuing hostages in Cancun to a coming-of-age romance flick that has him hooking up with an older woman.

That last little blurb loosely describes the film behind this latest bit of Taylor Lautner casting news. E! is reporting that Lautner is circling a remake of the 1985 film Vision Quest, which starred a very young Matthew Modine and Linda Fiorentino. Based on the book by Terry Davis, Vision Quest follows a high school wrestler who’s training to take down the top wrestler in the state when he meets an older girl who shows him a few moves of her own … if you know what I mean. One other thing the original film is known for is that it featured Madonna in her first role as a lounge singer.

Lautner, if he decides to take on the role, would obviously be playing the wrestler. In the 1985 film, the girl was only a few years older (21 to his 18), though I can’t see them going that route in the remake. Expect Lautner to be locking lips with a certified cougar – perhaps to give those Twilight Moms at home something to fantasize about for years to come.

But that begs the big question: Which older actress would look great on Taylor Lautner’s arm? My choice — Marisa Tomei. Who would you choose?
