Robert Pattinson presented at last year’s Oscars, but guess which Twilight stars are doing it this time around? I’ll let Kristen Stewart tell you… “Yeah, I’m going,” Stewart just told me when I asked if we’d be seeing her on March 7 at the Academy Awards. “Me and Taylor are going to present.” Stewart admits she’s very nervous. “I’ve been looking at shoes,” she said. “I’m trying to pick shoes that I know I won’t fall down in.” I chatted with Stewart at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, where she’d been holed for most of the day promoting her new drama, The Yellow Hankerchief, with costars Eddie Redmyane, Maria Bello and William Hurt. In a couple of days, she’ll be in London for BAFTA’s Orange Awards, where she’s a Rising Star nominee. “I feel so funny about it,” Stewart says. “Really cool people have won and really cool people are up for it this year. And I know a few of them, like Jesse [Eisenberg] and Carey [Mulligan].” As well, A Single Man star Nicholas Hoult and French actor Tahar Rahim round out the list. Stewart thinks it’s Rahim’s award to win. “I can’t even actually think about that,” she says, covering her face. “If I win, I’m gonna be like, ‘Carey, Jesse, suck it up—’cause I think Tahar should have won.” That’s not all I have for you from Ms. Stewart. Make sure to come back here for scoop on Breaking Dawn and more! SOURCE: E! Online |

Post Categories: Stretch Armstrong 3D
Though plans for a topless Taylor Lautner edition of Stretch Armstrong in toy stores haven’t been announced yet, Goldner said such dolls and figures “would be in the realm of possibility” — even if Mattel toys from the “New Moon” actor’s other superhero film, “Max Steel,” end up on shelves too. Video Games: Shirtlessness: SOURCE: MTV He kinda has to be shirtless. My brother had one of those dolls and he didn’t have like any clothes besides pants…. |

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are reportedly “not even close” to signing deals to return for a fifth Twilight movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, studio Summit Entertainment hasn’t secured the trio past a fourth feature and is planning to split the last book in Stephenie Meyers’s vampire saga, Breaking Dawn, into two 3D films. Should Dawn be released in two parts, Summit will have to renegotiate Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner’s contracts at considerable cost. Lautner’s asking price has allegedly risen to $7.5 million after he signed up for Northern Lights, Stretch Armstrong and Max Steel. The latest Twilight film, Eclipse, is due out in cinemas this July. Post Categories: Abduction
Last week, I told you about two big films being shopped: the Taylor Lautner-attached spec Abducted, and the Steven Soderbergh-directed Contagion. Both are still in the marketplace. – On the Lautner front, a deal for Shawn Christensen’s spec script hasn’t been wrapped up yet, but I hear that’s because the buyers and sellers took a President Weekend break. As of today, the bidding is back on. Sure, the Lautner camp has been steadfast on getting at least the $7.5 million quote established by Skydance for Northern Lights. I’m told Sony Pictures’ Columbia is in the mix (though the studio is out of development money through the first quarter of 2010 and is looking for creative ways around that dilemma). I also hear that DreamWorks, Lionsgate, and Universal are in it, with the latter trying to get Relativity Media to co-finance. Granted, the executives are grumbling about how it’s a lot of money for an 18-year old who hasn’t yet proven he can carry a film by himself, yet is on a salary trajectory rarely seen especially for someone so young. But the studios are still in hot pursuit. – On the Soderbergh front, I hear that Gwyneth Paltrow now is joining his cast that already includes Kate Winslet, Matt Damon, Marion Cotillard and Jude Law. The Scott Z. Burns-scripted film — about the attempt to contain a deadly viral outbreak — came with Participant Media ready to co-finance. Contagion carries a $60 million budget, and I’m told several bidders have offered greenlight commitments. SOURCE: Deadline Hollywood |

Post Categories: Valentine's Day
Even if most critics derided ‘Valentine’s Day’ as a barely-directed, poorly-acted, laughably-written bucket of candy-coated schmaltz, women still came out in droves to see it! OK, so Citizen Kane this was not — nor was it even Love Actually, actually. But Valentine’s Day, which starred pretty much every star ever to appear on HollywoodLife.com, was exactly what women wanted at the movies over the Prez Day Weekend and on V-Day itself, and they bought $65 million worth of tickets to prove it, Deadline.com reports. So what if the critics battered it like a heart-shaped pinata? As Taylor Swift’s character in the flick would put it: Whatever. Just like with New Moon and Dear John, young women totally ignored the critical opprobrium and went to see Valentine’s Day, despite its mostly silly dialogue, completely cut-and-paste plot development, and — oh, wait, was that Eric Dane’s bronzed chest? And Taylor Lautner doing backflips in a muscle shirt? And blonde Jessica Alba in a pair of sweet Louboutin pumps? Just like that box of chocolates most of them got sometime during the weekend, nutritive value was of no consequence. As such, V-Day and Dear John and, still, Avatar made this four-day Presidents’ Weekend the highest-grossing ever, with $230 million in box office. Way to go girls! SOURCE: Hollywood Life |
