‘It’s more scary, and it’s jumping out at you,’ one fan tells MTV News. The second “Eclipse” trailer made its big debut Friday (April 23), and fans are going crazy about the action and those new-and-improved werewolves. Twilighters are especially gushing about the scene where the wolves and the vampires get their fight on. “It looked really sick, and I can’t wait for it,” Tamar told MTV News. “I think there a lot more action in ‘Eclipse,’ [and] the scene when Jacob attacked them [stood out to me].” Like Tamar, Magali said all the action really makes her excited to see the film, out June 30. “I thought it looked good. It looks like there’s going to be a lot of action in it. And I hope it represents the movie well, because the second movie had a lot of talking in it, and this one seems like more action and more hands-on,” she said. “I think it was the last scene that we saw when we saw the wolves ganging up on the vampires; I want to see what it looks like [in the movie].” “I thought it looked better than the first one,” Julia said, “But there were some scenes that looked creepy.” “It was definitely intense,” Samantha said. “I’ve never actually read the books, so for somebody who hasn’t, I can say there definitely seems to be a lot of action. I think the characters definitely have a bolder role. [But] the lack of Bella [stuck out most], so it will be interesting to see what her role is this time.” “I thought it looked good,” Madison said. “I think the action has gotten progressively better. The giant werewolves [stuck out to me].” Even with all the talk about the wolf pack, Tanairis seemed taken in by the story’s core supernatural creatures: the vampires. “I liked it. It was more drama. It’s more scary, and it’s jumping out at you,” she said. “You wouldn’t expect it, [like] the water scene. I liked the water scene, because all of a sudden you see a bunch of guys coming out of the water, and it’s scary.” SOURCE: MTV |

On the day Oprah Winfrey premiered the new trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on her program, word arrived of an even bigger vampire invasion next month. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Dakota Fanning are all scheduled to appear on “Oprah” on May 13 to promote Eclipse. Pattinson, Stewart, and Lautner appeared together on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” back in November for New Moon. Gossip Cop will report on more promotional events for Eclipse as the June 30 release nears. The moments we’ve been waiting for: from Riley and the newborns to an angsty Jacob in the snow. The new “Eclipse” trailer has hit the Internet on Oprah.com more than four and a half hours earlier than those of us on the East Coast expected to see it, which means “Twilight” fans are likely to have watched it at least a dozen times already. Unlike the first teaser, this trailer features many of the much-hyped “Eclipse” moments fans and the cast has been buzzing about for months: particularly scenes of the newborn vampires and the final battle. Everyone will end up having their favorite moments in the trailer, but here are the five scenes we think are key: Riley Becomes a Vampire The scene in which Riley (Xavier Samuel) gets attacked by Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) and turned into a vampire flashes by fairly quickly as Edward (Robert Pattinson) explains to Bella (Kristen Stewart) about the newborn army growing in Seattle. But these few seconds are interesting because they show that director David Slade’s version of vampire transformation is more traditional, edgy and less comical than the way Catherine Hardwicke portrayed it in “Twilight.” It’s also nice to see that Slade will be showing the events in Seattle that were merely referred to from afar in the novel. Newborn Vampires Revealed The most direct threat to Bella and Edward in “Eclipse” (other than a certain werewolf trying to come between them) is Victoria and her army. Although the vengeful vamp was revealed as a threat in the first teaser, this is the first time her newborn vampires have been revealed on screen. The shots of them pillaging and ravaging Seattle are a nice contrast to the less-effective threats of James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria over the past two films. The scene when they walk out of the water is particularly chilling. The Werewolf Vs. Vampire Battle Given all the hype the “Eclipse” castmembers have been building about the final battle sequence in the film, it’s not surprising that it was included in this trailer. What is surprising is just how much of it was included, which means that it’s sure to be a long and violent battle royale. Bella’s Engagement Ring In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, Bella’s engagement ring was revealed in the first teaser trailer last month. Fortunately, this new trailer allows a little more time for fans to gawk over the massive ring Edward presents to Bella, even adding an extremely quick shot of Jacob (Taylor Lautner) angrily punching his work table, before we get sucked back into watching Victoria trying to escape from Edward. Before and After the Tent Scene It would have been asking too much for Slade to include shots from the actual human/vampire/werewolf sleepover in today’s “Eclipse” trailer, but he was nice enough to include a couple moments of events surrounding the infamous tent scene. First Jacob is seen standing shirtless in the snowy mountains, having an angsty moment with Bella at 1:12 (before the tent scene). And then Edward and Bella are confronted by Victoria at 1:16 (after the tent scene). Fortunately, fans will be so distracted by all the other goodies in this trailer that they won’t even notice until a few hundred views later ̵ or now that we pointed it out — what it was missing SOURCE: MTV |

Taylor Lautner may have a new leading lady in his future. And she may be an even bigger star than he is. There are rumblings across the entertainment blogosphere that representatives for both Taylor Lautner and Miley Cyrus have in been in talks to get two of the youngest and hottest stars in the business today to team up for an upcoming film project. The news comes as a surprising development to some fans of Miley Cyrus who are well aware of her firm dislike of the Twilight series. As it stands, however, there doesn’t appear to be a particular script that both stars have taken a mutual interest in. Yet, the blockbuster duo of Taylor Lautner and Miley Cyrus has been an on-screen dream team since the idea first floated across the celebrity news blogosphere some twelve months ago. While there is growing interest to pair Taylor Lautner and Miley Cyrus on screen as soon as possible, both stars have a busy year ahead of them. Reps for Miley Cyrus, for example, have suggested that the Hannah Montana beauty may already have as many as four films lined up for the remainder of the year. Meanwhile, Taylor Lautner is preparing for an epic performance as “Stretch Armstrong” in what is certain to be a box office blockbuster. Will we ever see Miley Cyrus and Taylor Lautner together? Before Twilight: I don’t think it’s up to debate, but no one has benefited more from the Twilight series than Mr. Lautner. His character was barely an afterthought in the first film and rumor had it that he wasn’t even going to be invited back for the second. But he put on some muscle and convinced everyone to let him back in. But without that sequence of events, I can’t imagine Lautner would have been able to break into Hollywood. Although, people tend to forget that he was Sharkboy in Robert Rodriguez’s SHARKBOY AND LAVA GIRL. After Twilight: More than any other Twilight alum, Lautner has lined up the projects at a lightning fast pace. STRETCH ARMSTRONG, CANCUN, ABDUCTION and the on again/off again MAX STEELE are just a few of his upcoming projects. The best part about what he’s doing is that they seem to be a variety of roles, thus giving him a chance to prove he’s more than just a shy werewolf. Oh, and he had a decent turn in VALENTINE’S DAY, although it was rough because of how bad Taylor Swift was. Prediction: It’s really too early to tell because we need him to do a big project that will give him a chance to shine. He’s the bright spot in the Twilight series, but that’s not saying much. Based solely off the numerous projects he has lined up, I give Taylor a 60% chance of being relevant after TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN part 2. That may seem low, but I will say that he has the best chance of being a huge star, it’s just too early to say since he hasn’t done anything yet. SOURCE: 66Fix |

“Eclipse,” the third of the “Twilight” saga films, gets released June 30, so why not put some fresh blood into the fashion inspired by the movies’ main characters? Beginning May 15, Nordstrom will again sell exclusive lace trim tops, miniskirts, striped and floral dresses, skinny jeans, cardigans and plaid jackets, in the style of protagonists Bella and Alice, and priced from $30 to $58, on nordstrom.com/eclipse. Beginning June 4, the collection will be sold at Nordstrom stores as well as online. This is Nordstrom’s second collaboration with Summit Entertainment and vendor Awake Inc. on a “Twilight” collection, following last fall’s tie-in to “New Moon,” the second film in the series. For those bit by the “Twilight” bug, Nordstrom will also sell life-size cardboard cutouts of the main characters, priced $33, and Luna Twilight cosmetics including Twilight Lip Venom. Nordstrom is also planning advance screenings, cast member appearances and Twilight Takeover parties.
