Contrary to circulating rumor, Taylor Lautner is still on the single market. The Jacob Black of the “Twilight Saga” series has never been in a relationship with his “Abduction” co-star, Lily Collins, a source close to Lily told Gossip Cop. Debunking the story further, the source insisted the Collins Tuohy of “The Blind Side” is “still with her boyfriend.” Words that 18-year-old Taylor is romancing his 21-year-old co-star spread like a wildfire after National Enquirer claimed the actor has successfully seduced her by “constantly flashing his shirtless six pack on the Pittsburgh set” of their thriller film. A source told the tabloid, “Lily told pals that she wasn’t looking to fall in love, but soon realized she had strong romantic feelings.” “Taylor was smitten from day one, but Lily let him know she was in a relationship with a stuntman who was working on a Steven Spielberg movie in New Mexico,” the source continued on. “When the boyfriend got suspicious because Lily didn’t return calls promptly, he hopped a plane and turned up unannounced to confront her.” |

What with the Twilight Saga making the likes of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner like, stupidly famous, it’s no wonder that other actors are keen to jump on the bandwagon. However, the latest actor isn’t some small time star, in fact he plays Chuck Bass in the hit show Gossip Girl. In an interview with PopSugar, Ed joked that he should play the brother of Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen. “We should play brothers. Me and Rob Pattinson should play brothers….I’ll put the call in. Let’s do it. ” However, before Ed “puts that call in”, maybe he should read the books because when he was asked about appearing in Breaking Dawn, he replied: “Is that the next one?” And he has yet to find out that Stephenie Meyer has only given Edward Cullen two brothers, who are already played by Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone…. Stephenie Meyer‘s Twilight, the first novel in the Twilight Saga book (and now movie) series, has become the 13th novel to sell more than two million copies in the United Kingdom in the 21st century, according to TheBookseller.com (via The Twilight Lexicon). According to the report, only three other novelists have achieved the same feat to date: J K Rowling of the Harry Potter books, Dan Brown of The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, and Mark Haddon of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. Curiously, Twilight was not a big hit when it was first published in the UK in 2006, selling a mere 1,684 as per Nielsen BookScan data. Twilight only caught on in summer 2008 following the publication of Breaking Dawn, and, more importantly, a few months before the release of the Catherine Hardwicke-directed movie version starring Robert Pattinson as the lovestruck vampire Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart as the equally lovestruck human Bella Swan. (Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner in the film series, became a major character only in the second installment, New Moon.) Hardwicke’s Twilight became a sleeper blockbuster, grossing nearly $400m worldwide, and eventually leading to the Twilight-Pattinson-Stewart-Lautner frenzy that shows no sign of abating. Last week alone, Twilight sold 16,672 copies in the UK, reaching a grand total of 2,005,609 copies sold. Approximately 355,000 copies have been sold in 2010 alone. Meyer’s books, including the Twilight series novels, The Host, and the Twilight-related The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, have earned £47.7m (US$74.33m) since early 2006. Source: Alt Film Guide |

Taylor Lautner has reportedly said that he believes his character of Jacob Black and Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen “connect” in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Accoridng to Now, Lautner said that he thinks the two roles now have “respect” for each other. He explained: “Jacob hated Edward with a passion, but now they are forced to team up. We have a moment where I have to hate and understand him at the same time. It’s the first moment where we’re able to connect.” The 18-year-old added that Bella (Kristen Stewart) makes the rivals work as a team. “As much as we hate each other, we kinda respect each other. We go, ‘Let’s put this all aside and fight for Bella’.” SOURCE: Digital Spy |

SAN DIEGO — For the first time since 2007, there was no official “Twilight” presence at the Comic-Con panels this year. But screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg was in attendance, and she was more than willing to take a break from the convention to chat with MTV News about her upcoming work on “Breaking Dawn.” The two films are set to start shooting back-to-back in November, and Rosenberg said she is still working on finalizing the script. Fans have been most concerned with how Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) pivotal, not to mention traumatic, birthing scene will be portrayed in the movie, and Rosenberg said she and director Bill Condon are continually revising the script to make it work. Despite an earlier comment, she said the scene will be included, but the specifics of how it will be represented have not been solidified yet. “I’ve written and continue to rewrite it, working on it with Bill Condon … He has a vision as well, but it’s kind of a shared vision I would say, but ultimately it comes down to, what does he actually want to see?” she said. “I know what I want to see, which is, I want to see the terror of the experience. I want to have the experience of the fear and feel her pain. I want to feel everyone’s pain in this.” Still, Rosenberg said that there are some of the gruesome elements of the scene — like Edward (Robert Pattinson) having to give Bella what has been dubbed a “vampire caesarian” — that she doesn’t think need to be included in the scene. “I want it to be visceral, so that is what’s most important. Do I want to see teeth in placenta? No,” she said. “Someone else may. I don’t actually want to see that, but to each his own.” Another of the other big scenes in “Breaking Dawn” that has been the subject of some controversy is the imprinting scene. It features Jacob (Taylor Lautner) having what Rosenberg describes as a “spiritual experience” with Bella’s newborn child that ultimately leads to the revelation that the infant is his soul mate. “One must be very careful with that,” Rosenberg said about the scene, “but hopefully you’ve taken this ride with Jacob for all four movies; you know Jacob, and so I think you’ll experience it the way he does, which is spiritually, as a spiritual experience, as an emotional experience and not something that makes one uncomfortable.” Source: MTV |
