After only five days in the theatres, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has taken in more than $160 million US, to say nothing of its international gross. While that’s good news for Summit Entertainment, it’s even better news for the film’s three big stars, because it means that Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will all earn a massive payday for the saga’s final two instalments.
But, as screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg told E! News, they will definitely earn their paycheques in Breaking Dawn. The Breaking Dawn screenwriter promised the final films will be much steamier than its predecessors, despite their anticipated PG-13 ratings. “It will be sexier,” Rosenberg said. “I think we can get sexy with a PG-13. I’m not worried about the rating. I know a lot of fans are saying, ‘We need to go R to do it justice,’ but I don’t think so. I think it’s going to be pretty hot.” As for the potential Bree Tanner spinoff films, Rosenberg doesn’t know if she’ll be involved. “It’s really up to Stephenie [Meyer],” she said. “If she wants to tell more stories, I, as a reader, am hungry for them. I am probably done adapting,” Rosenberg said. “It’s probably time for me to do something else, but never say never. Adapting Stephenie Meyer is a hell of a life. It’s been wonderful.” Source: Vancouver Sun |
