PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh-area teens spending a few days of their summer vacation camped out on the field at Hampton High School got a real treat on Monday. “Twilight” heartthrob Taylor Lautner took a break from shooting his new movie, “Abduction,” to sign autographs and take pictures with a swarm of fans. “It was amazing,” Hampton graduate Chelsea Waldschmidt told See and Be Seen. “I actually got so close to him I touched him.” VIDEO: Girls Line Up To See Lautner Waldschmidt said she and about 100 other girls were watching Lautner film a scene outside the school, which included him riding a motorcycle and driving in an SUV. “All of a sudden the SUV came over to where the crowd was standing and he [Lautner] got out and said, ‘Hey, what’s up guys?’ Everyone started going crazy,” Waldschmidt said. Despite all of the excitement, which included paparazzi from national media outlets, Waldschmidt said Lautner remained calm and wasn’t in any hurry to leave. “I’ve never met a celebrity, so it was really cool. I didn’t expect him to be so nice. He didn’t even have any security with him,” Waldschmidt said. Hampton High School will not just be used for a location and then given a fake name for the movie. Filmmakers have agreed to use the school’s name and to make Lautner a Talbot. “This is huge for us, to have the producers agree to keep the name of Hampton High School in the film and to see Lautner as a Talbot,” said assistant superintendent Dr. Jo Welter. “We’re thrilled.” The building will not be the only thing featured in the movie. Hampton High School’s marching band also will appear in a scene, as well as students who will serve as extras. Producers also are interested in featuring the school’s cheerleaders. Hampton’s wrestling coach, Joe Bursick, has a special role in the film. Bursick has been working with Lautner to help him learn wrestling moves for scenes which will feature Lautner wrestling in the movie. Other students will be allowed a behind-the-scenes look at the production process by being given access to the set during filming. High school principal Jeff Finch also has been directly involved with the film, helping arrange for the daily needs of the film crew as they transform the high school art room into a classroom for the film. Filming dates are set for July 12 and 13 at the high school. During this time, the high school will be closed to the public. John Singleton, who received two Oscar nominations for writing and directing “Boys N the Hood,” will direct “Abduction.” The movie is about a teen who learns that the people he thought were his parents are not. Portions of the Lionsgate film are being made in Pittsburgh, Greensburg and Hampton Township. Principal production is expected to last into September. Robert Pattinson’s favourite scene in Eclipse is when Bella (Kristen Stewart) kisses Jacob (Taylor Lautner). Rob likes this scene in particular because he feels he can identify with Edward Cullen, the character he plays.

If you’re writing fanfiction, there’s a good chance it involves Ian Somerhalder. And don’t lie about it, ’cause we have proof. We don’t write fanfic, but we’ve certainly read some. There are some who write material only involving fictional characters, and other people write “RPF” which is real person fiction. According to WattPad lots of celebrity-based stories are being penned, and they’ve made a list of the top ten. Ian Somerhalder clocks in at number five. Apparently Taylor Lautner’s abs are winning this thing. Top Ten Celebrities in Fan Stories: 1. Taylor Lautner SOURCE: WattPad |

In your face, Hugh Jackman and all you other Taylor Lautner haters! Turns out, despite all your cynicism, Taylor was actually approached to be in “X-Men: First Class,” but couldn’t do it because of “Abduction” and “Breaking Dawn” commitments. Producer (and ex-director) Bryan Singer shared the news, and we couldn’t help but feel like we won something this round. But while Taylor as Wolverine would have been pretty sweet, we feel like he’s just being repeatedly typecast as guy-who-should-have-shirt-off. Here are some other genres we think Taylor should delve into, so we can end up laughing at more haters who have to bite their tongues. A Surrealist Thriller Oh hey, big surprise, “Inception” was a box office success and abso-freakin’-awesome. What is that sound you hear rumbling across the continent from Hollywood? The sound of thousands of writers’ pens scratching away while studio executives order them to duplicate its success. We’re betting there is going to be huge influx of surrealist action thrillers being greenlit soon, so Taylor should jump on the bandwagon and show that he is more than just great abs. A Romantic Comedy “Valentine’s Day” sort of counts, but since each actor in that film only had about two minutes on screen, we think it’s fair that Taylor gets his chance at carrying his own rom-com. Maybe he’ll even get another girlfriend out of it, though this time we hope she has better acting chops than Taylor Swift. A Controversial Drama No, we don’t mean that imprinting scene in “Breaking Dawn,” but an actual controversial drama. Put Taylor outside of his comfort zone in a role that “Twilight” fans will rebel against but embrace (Kristen Stewart in “Welcome to the Rileys,” for example) and will give critics a reason to embrace Taylor as being worth watching. X-Men: First Class producer Bryan Singer said on Monday that he wanted “The Twilight Saga” star Taylor Lautner to play a role in the Summer 2011 film, but that it didn’t work out due to scheduling. “I wanted Taylor [Lautner] to do it, I really did,” Singer told Blastr. “He’s doing a movie in Pittsburgh called ‘Abduction’ and then he’s got the next ‘Twilight’ movie. We talked about it a lot, he is a friend, and I really wanted to make it work. It just doesn’t look like it’s possible to do it.” Singer did not reveal which character Lautner was up for. The article also mentioned that Meagan Good is up for a role, but that’s the first we’ve heard of that. Singer added that he won’t be directing Wolverine 2. “It’s not what I’m going to do right now, the next project for me next year, in London, is ‘Jack the Giant Killer’ that is set in the 1300s and it’s very fun. It will be a big movie.” To be directed by Matthew Vaughn, the confirmed cast members of X-Men: First Class are James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Alice Eve, Nicholas Hoult and Caleb Landry Jones. They’ve got abs and arm muscles to die for, looks up the wazoo and both man a mean motorcycle, but now 18-year-old Taylor Lautner is kicking Tom Cruise’s butt at the box office AND shooting his first action hero film! So, should Mr. Mission Impossible be worried that the world’s most famous werewolf will become this generation’s biggest action star? Taylor’s lean, he’s mean and he’s just started shooting Abduction, where he plays the son of an international spy, and he’s lined up for Cancun, where he saves his BFFs from a Mexican drug cartel. He’ll also be playing blond, swim trunk-wearing action hero Stretch Armstrong (Taylor in a Speedo? Count us in!) The evidence: we’re all about the benjamins, baby. Taylor’s newest film, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, has grossed $466,931,714 worldwide – and it was released a week AFTER Tom’s latest movie, Knight & Day – which has only grossed $103,320,520. Both guys released their previous movies on major holidays as well – and Taylor beat Tom then, too! His ensemble romantic comedy, Valentine’s Day, made $213,009,598, $13 million more than Tom’s German action-drama Valkyrie, which grossed $200,276,784 after being released on Christmas day in 2008. Sorry, Tom, but Taylor is the new, improved and younger version of YOU! 1. Both guys are ballers! Tom played floor-hockey in middle school and was a linebacker for his varsity football team. He also wrestled, but had to drop out due to a knee injury. Taylor not only plays baseball as part of the Hart Baseball Program, but loves football, gymnastics and has been a kung fu master since the age of 7! SOURCE: Hollywood Life |

Taylor Lautner has admitted that he feels “sorry” for his Twilight character Jacob Black because he’s so in love. The actor, who plays a werewolf infatuated with Bella Swan in the vampire series, has revealed that he understands where his character is coming from, reports Now. The 18-year-old said: “When I read the books, I felt sorry for Jacob. He is so in love. “There’s a moment where he forces Bella to kiss him and she is trying to get away and she goes numb… it gets really hard. There is nothing more he wants than to be with her but he can’t.” SOURCE: Digital Spy |
