LOS ANGELES – Taylor Lautner is suing an RV dealership he claims didn’t deliver a customized coach in time for use on his current movie shoot.

The star of the “Twilight” series sued the Irvine, Calif., dealership of McMahon’s RV in Los Angeles on Monday. The lawsuit claims McMahon’s missed a June deadline to deliver a $300,000 customized 2006 Affinity Country Coach RV.

The lawsuit doesn’t specify what special features the 18-year-old wanted for the RV, which would serve as his dressing room. He is currently filming the action-thriller “Abduction” and is reprising his role as Jacob Black in the two-part “Twilight finale, “Breaking Dawn.”

A phone message left at the McMahon’s dealership Monday was not immediately returned.

sounds pretty reasonable – if you pay $300,000 for something and it doesn’t show up, I think you’ve got a right to complain. But just wait for the media to spin this and make it seem like he’s a ‘diva’ (as if!) We don’t really know the context of this, but sounds to me like Taylor was just doing what any normal person would.

  2. kat Says:

God, how irritating! bet he’s pissed. well, obviously! ;)

  3. JJ Says:

I’m sorry, but to me a law suit seems to be a little excessive. Unless this trailer is actually interrupting the filming process then I would think a little patience would be good.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Taylor is beyond great, but this seems a bit much.

  4. mike Says:

I totally agree with samantha….they are trying to call him a “diva” from this….I would do the same thing if I paid that much for something and didn’t receive it on time. Such a sweet guy and of course they want to spin it.

  5. Raven Says:

Agree WITH SAMANTHA ALL THE WAY!!! Stupid people…all They can do Is HATE!!…On What?…ALL HE DID WAS NOT GET GOOD SERVICE!! WHAT LET THEM GO AND LET SUMEBODY ELSE GET CAUGHT UP IN THIS MESS>>>I HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS TOO!!

  6. Jenna Says:

I don’t see Taylor as the type to sue over this, but hey….if I’m paying for something this expensive, somebody better give me what I ordered or I’m tearing stuff up! Yeah, people will call him a diva over this, but people do this sort of stuff every day. It’s just because he’s famous that they’re making it a big deal. I think it’s sort of funny. Gives him a little street cred if you will instead of being a good guy all the time. I’m backing you up Taylor!

  7. Jeanne Says:

The dealership signed the contract to have the RV finished by June 21 for an agreed price. Obviously they didn’t do the job to specs or customer satisfaction, whichever. Taylor’s reps had a responsibility to protect his rights, thus the lawsuit. Now the scandal sheets want to spin it as if it is Taylor’s fault. Give me a break! Anything for a headline.

  8. Maryann Says:

He’s 18. The lawsuit was filed probably by the movie production company or an authorized over 21 individual who signed the contract. When a contract is signed there are mutually agreed specifics, failure to meet these criteria is a breech of contract. Did anyone see the lawsuit and are they specifically quoting or are they freelancing? The $$ amount involved is a significant element and by failing to fulfill the contract did it adversely effect the production, place additional cost etc etc. Did the reporting “gossip blurb” attempt to contact both parties involved? Did they check BBB or other consumer group as to whether the company involved has a prior history of filed complaints? Probably not. Their mode of operation is often ” let’s just throw it out there and see what sticks”. QUESTION: Does somebody want to stick it to this kid or have an axe to grind??? Just wondering. Not enough troubled celebrities whose misery they can capitalize on this week so they throw a dart and see who they can put through the ringer, or did someone suggest it. Just wondering.

  9. Jeanne Says:

The way I see it is that these slime balls can’t stand it that Taylor is such a nice young man and so squeaky clean. They will say just about anything to bring him down to their pond scum level. IMHO, that is!

  10. shona Says:

well whatever about taylor, but this is hardly the first time that taylor’s dad has been mentioned in a negative light. First, there was the rumors that it was him forcing the selena-taylor break up, then there was the im-going-to-build-my-business-on-my-sons-back where taylormade is concerned, then whole conflict with taylors dad and the town mayor or whatever with the abduction shoot, and now its his dad being mentioned in this. mu conclusion?

his dad has a seriously bad obsession with money.
cause a lawsuit over something that happens in business ALL the time is completely excessive. Who here can say they have never ordered anything that came late?!

Taylor seriously needs to man up and stop letting his dad be in control.

  11. Nicole Says:

If I order a pizza delivered and it comes over an hour later, I don’t have to pay for it. If you order food at a restaurant that ends up tasting crappy then you dont’ have to pay for it. If Taylor & his dad order a trailer that does not show up on time and violates safety regulations (heard that on TMZ) then he shouldn’t have to pay for it. Very simple.
