In a suit filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Lautner claims his dad, Dan Lautner, negotiated with the Irvine, Calif.-based McMahon’s RV dealership to deliver a $300,000 customized 2006 Affinity Country Coach RV by a June deadline so the star wouldn’t have to rough it on the set of the thriller “Abduction.” But the deadline allegedly passed, causing Lautner and his Shark Kid Entertainment to sue for breach of contract and fraud. He’s seeking unspecified damages. Considering that Lautner is scheduled to spend most of the winter in Louisiana filming the third and fourth installments of “Twilight,” Twi-hards will be hoping that this dispute gets resolved quickly. Why shouldn’t he sue them if they didn’t get his trailer done in time? I’m sure him and his dad were fair about it. I refuse to believe Taylor is a diva! All stars have their own trailers, what is the big deal? He should get what he wants….

I posted that to show that he is basically getting a free trailer out of this deal, which seems reasonable if someone does not hold up their end of the deal.

The dealership in question has a dubious reputation for screwing its customers. It should have been checked out (not thru the BBB they’re out of the loop). 300K is a lot of money, but a high end RV would be 800k & up. So in these terms this is a low to moderate cost (not in the diva class). As far as the purchase contract and the lawsuit I doubt Taylor had anything to do with them personally…everything went through his agents (particularly the lawyers). Someone checks the clerk of court filings probably daily, ran across this, called TMZ & made a few bucks. They think it as a ha ha ha. But let me tell you I have never heard such hate piled on a kid, due mainly to the manufactured headlines (diva, spoiled brat etc). The contract was breached. It wasn’t delivered on the date in the contract, there were safety issues not addressed that made it unsafe, the modifications were incomplete & the production company had agreed to pay $3000/wk for use of the RV as a dressing room on location in lieu of the production supplying one (which actually was a savings & cost effective for the production company) this in itself adds up to a loss of 12k a month not collected. I really am starting to despise these so called entertainment sites/mags/tv. They thrive on misery and exploitation & definitely arent above deceptive headlines and “reporting.”

At first, I was disappointed to hear about this. But after having a second thought about it, you’re right Taylor probably had no say in this. Beside the media always exaggerated thing and picking on one little thing and blow it up to be a big thing.
Oh well, I just hope this will go away soon.

This will probably stick around as long as the tabs want to call him a ‘diva’. The media thrives on the “build em up and knock em down” mentality. It happens to every celebrity, particularly ones well-loved with clean images like Taylor. What concerns me is, as ‘interestedparty’ mentioned, Taylor probably had little to do with this. He obviously doesnt have much say over the decisions in his life, and that concerns me. Taylor’s 18, and i know he’s smart enough to make his own choices. I hope Taylor’s learned a lesson from this – let other people make your decisions, and you end up being called a ‘diva’, even though you’re not. This lawsuit sounds so uncharacteristic of Taylor, which is why i doubt it was his idea.
