Q: Oh cool! I know you are close friends with Taylor Lautner. How did you like the way he transformed himself for New Moon, and had to obviously keep that buff look for Eclipse. AS: He is big and manly now! (Laughs.) He’s tall, manly, masculine and strong and that’s weird. Q: Do you see that relationship going any further? He is so cute. Girls are dying to know anything we have to say about them in the teen magazines. AS: No, our relationship is based on being around our families–so he is like my brother. I find it bizarre that girls go crazy over him. He is undoubtedly good looking but it just isn’t that way between us.’ Q: How do you and Taylor (Lautner) stay in touch? AS: He is quite busy now. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner have all three been keeping themselves busy these past few weeks (in between The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’s release and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 production) preparing for and filming each of their new, exciting projects. Robert Pattinson has been working on his film Water For Elephants (with Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz) for quite some time, but director Francis Lawrence recently updated fans (via his Twitter page) that production has finished for the Los Angeles, California portion of filming. According to one source, a release date for WFE has been set for April 15, 2011, and production is continuing in the southeast U.S. to complete the film. Meanwhile, Taylor Lautner has also been filming Abduction in Pennsylvania. Some fans got the opportunity to meet Lautner on the set, and a photo of him hard at work was also unveiled by MTV. Co-star Jason Isaacs (of Harry Potter fame) spoke up about Lautner’s physical prowess, saying “He’s a phenomenon – he’s like a gold medal gymnast.” Finally, Kristen Stewart’s On The Road is heading to production this month, and co-star Garrett Hedlund spoke to MTV about how the two were preparing for the filming process. Garrett confirmed that the four-week beatnik “boot camp” Kristen Stewart told us about last month is now underway in Montreal, where the actors prepare for an August shoot through “intensive research with biographers.” Last summer, in between filming for The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, each of the three helmed separate projects as well (Pattinson’s Remember Me, Stewart’s The Runaways, and Lautner’s Valentine’s Day), and they’ll return to Vancouver (and Baton Rouge, Louisiana) for Breaking Dawn filming this fall/winter. To the best of our knowledge, Abduction will be filming in Sutersville, PA on August 2- 4. They will be filming overnight on the bridge behind Yough Twister Ice Cream Shop. This is the best map of Yough Twister that we have found so far: http://wikimapia.org/25195/Yough-Twister If you take a look at the map above too, it looks like the bridge is on 1st St in Sutersville, PA. We have two sources who have been able to confirm the shoot and both have advised it will be very difficult for onlookers to see much. Carrie told us, “Yes it is true that there is a bridge scene, its a car crashing into a train. The state police are involved in this shoot because they want as many people away from the area as possible. At both ends of the bridge are train tracks, at one side is a junk yard the other is a ice cream shop, both have big parking lots. The cops are blocking the road 3/4 a mile down so everything (base camp, etc) will be inside the road block so it will be difficult [to see much, if any of the shoot].” Ryan also told us, “From What I understand they are going to be filming on a bridge and near the creek and river at that location. Our water rescue was requested to be there. They are filming in the evening and through midnight on those days.” It is still unknown exactly which of the movie’s stars will be on set (if any, it could be stunts only) and if this will be the only location for the week. As for Jacob, he often irritated me in the novel, but I found him to be much more likable here. Granted, this may be partially because, having read the final book, I now have insight into Jacob’s behavior, understanding that he’s at the mercy of the biological impulses of his species as much as Edward is, if not more so. Still, I think Taylor Lautner is as much responsible for the greater appeal of the film version of Jacob. Perhaps Lautner’s excellent performance as Jacob is at least marginally responsible for Stewart’s being more at ease, as she was at her best primarily during many of their scenes together.
