According to these reports, Dr. Barnaby Dixson, who is an Anthropologist from New Zealand, has studied in detail, what factors attract women to men, while choosing partners? Thus, according to his study, “ On a biological level, women are more likely to pick a leaner, even slightly more effeminate man,as they equate those physical traits with being more caring and gentle and therefore a better prospect as a partner”. Further, it was added that “Humans simply do not mate randomly”. Now, the fact that Rob has all the above mentioned qualities, that too in abundance, it is just an under statement to say that “No wonder, he is considered such a heart throb worldwide!” However, that does not mean that Taylor has no fans, reportedly, this hunk has some great fan following too, and if grapevine is anything to go by, his stud looks are considered far more macho, tough and attractive by most women! After going head-to-head at 2010 Teen Choice Awards, Robert Pattinson will once again face off against Taylor Lautner. Spike TV has announced the nominees of 2010 Scream Awards on Wednesday, September 1, unveiling that the two actors of “The Twilight Saga’s Eclipse” are up against each other for the title of Best Fantasy Actor. Besides one another, the two leading men of the “Twilight Saga” series will be facing stiff competition from other nominees, “Alice in Wonderland” hunk Johnny Depp, “Toy Story 3″ star Tom Hanks and “Kick-Ass” actors Nicolas Cage and Aaron Johnson. Taylor has reigned over Robert at this year’s Teen Choice when he won a surfboard for Choice Actor Fantasy. In movie field, Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” collected 15 nominations in 14 categories. It is up for such kudos as The Ultimate Scream, Best Ensemble and Fight Scene of the Year among others. “Kick-Ass”, in the meantime, nabbed 17 nominations in 13 categories, and “Iron Man 2″ garnered 13 nominations. The TV field saw the domination of HBO’s “True Blood”. Nabbing 10 nods, it has the chance to win Best TV Show as it is nominated along with “Dexter”, “Doctor Who”, “Lost” and “V”. The series trio, Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard, have also scored a nod each in the performers category. The 5th Annual Scream Awards honoring the year’s best in sci-fi, fantasy, horror and comic book genres will be taped on Saturday, October 16 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, California. It will be broadcast on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 19 at 9 P.M. ET/PT. Yesterday we reported that the RV company that Twilight star, Taylor Lautner is suing has suggested they settle the case out of court, challenging the actor to a push-up contest. And now Taylor’s lawyer has slammed McMahon’s RV’s suggestion, calling it “facestious.”

The ‘Twilight’ sex symbol admits he is jealous of his hunky co-star’s muscular torso but says while the pair can be competitive they are still good friends. Robert joked of their rivalry: “I want to have better hair than him. I want to have a better six-pack. “But seriously, he’s great. LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – The owner of an RV dealership recently sued by Taylor Lautner for allegedly failing to deliver a customized rig on time has issued a unique challenge to the “Twilight” star: push up or shut up. Brent McMahon, owner of the Irvine, Calif.-based McMahon’s RV, held a press conference Monday to challenge the buffed-up Lautner to settle his lawsuit with a push-up contest. That’s right, whoever can do the most push-ups wins — or at least gets some money donated to charity. Lautner sued McMahon’s last week for not delivering a $300,000 customized rig in time for the shoot of his new movie “Abduction.” Lautner claims his dad, Dan Lautner, negotiated for McMahon’s to refurbish a 2006 Affinity Country Coach RV by June but the dealership failed to meet the deadline. McMahon and attorney Adam Obeid say the Lautners and their lawyers demanded $40,000 before filing the lawsuit. But they have a better idea. If Lautner shows up and wins the push-up contest, McMahon will pay him and his Shark Kid Entertainment the $40,000 to settle the case. If McMahon wins, he’ll donate the $40,000 to Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Not a bad stunt — if Lautner has a good sense of humor and shows up. “We’re taking a negative and making it into a positive to benefit the sick children at Children’s Hospital of Orange County,” McMahon said at the press conference. He says he has other sponsors willing to chip in if Lautner appears. How would McMahon fare against the superbuff “Twilight” heartthrob? “He works out regularly,” Obeid said. “But he’s a 47-year-old man. He’s no Taylor Lautner.” Lautner lawyer Robert Barta turned down the push-up contest, but welcomed a contribution to charity: “McMahon’s RV’s response to our client’s legitimate claim further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Mr. McMahon, his company and his employees have exhibited from the outset, and that compelled the filing of this lawsuit in the first place,” Barta said in a statement. “This suit is not about a ‘customized’ RV, it is about McMahon’s RV’s refusal to deliver the vehicle in the safe, drivable condition that was promised, as every purchaser has the right to expect. A cursory review of McMahon’s RV’s record with the Better Business Bureau shows that this is a repeated pattern of conduct; Mr. Lautner just happens to be a high profile customer that is holding them accountable. Indeed, Mr. McMahon, through his attorney, has already apologized to the Lautners for his and his company’s conduct. While we will not dignify Mr. McMahon’s facetious suggestion of a contest to settle a legal claim with a response, we do welcome the opportunity for him to resolve this matter by making a $40,000 donation to the charity of Mr. Lautner’s choice, and we will be in touch with his counsel to see if he will make good on this offer.” Source: ABC News |
