It looks like Shailene Woodley is heating up her big-screen career with another movie!
JJJ has exclusively learned that the 19-year-old All It Takes founder and actress is being considered for the female lead in Sapphique, a film based on the book of the same name by Catherine Fisher.
Sapphique is the sequel to Incarceron. Taylor Lautner is attached to star in the film version of the first book, Incarceron. The young adult novel, which hit shelves late last month is already on the New York Times best-seller list!

Taylor Lautner’s new romance is continuing to grow.

The 18-year-old hunk has been quietly dating 21-year-old actress Lily Collins – whose father is ‘In The Air Tonight’ singer Phil Collins – for several months and though it is still early days between the two, pals expect their relationship to progress when they begin promoting their new movie ‘Abduction’ together.

A source told gossip website PopEater: “They appear to be seeing each other, but it’s too early to see what will happen because they are both young. They make a cute couple. Once ‘Abduction’ is released this fall, they will be spending even more time together promoting it.”

Though they have not yet confirmed their relationship, Taylor reportedly met Lily’s hard-to-please father late last year and was delighted to get the seal of approval.

A source said in November: “Phil is pretty tough on the guys Lily introduces him to. But they got along well.”

The pair were first romantically linked in July, when it was reported Taylor had seduced his co-star on the set of ‘Abduction’ by “constantly flashing his shirtless six pack,” despite her having a boyfriend.

A source said at the time: “Lily told pals that she wasn’t looking to fall in love, but soon realised she had strong romantic feelings.

“Taylor was smitten from day one, but Lily let him know she was in a relationship with a stuntman who was working on a Steven Spielberg movie in New Mexico. When the boyfriend got suspicious because Lily didn’t return calls promptly, he hopped a plane and turned up unannounced to confront her.”

Q: Where does the story split in half?

A: “We basically want to take the audience through the emotional part of Bella’s journey as she becomes a vampire. The first part will cover the wedding, the honeymoon and the birth.” The film ends just before she embarks on her supernatural transformation.

Q: The book has three segments, two of which present Bella’s point of view and a middle that’s devoted to the perspective of her rejected werewolf suitor, Jacob (Taylor Lautner). How is that handled?

A: “The story will break from her and follow Jacob throughout the course of the movie as he struggles with his own dilemma. There is a sense that as Bella and the Cullens (Edward’s makeshift vampire clan) deal with her pregnancy, the world is still turning outside with Jacob.”

Q: Considering what goes on during the torturous birth process, how can the rating be PG-13?

A: With Twilight’s core of under-18 fans, “it would be a crime against our audience to go R-rated.” However, “this is based on a much more mature book. We need to progress and be more sophisticated.” A compromise: Having the bloody, bone-crushing delivery be seen only through Bella’s eyes. “She is looking through the haze, experiencing pain and everything rushing around her. We only see what she sees.”

Post Categories: Abduction

Taylor Lautner is currently shooting the final two films in the franchise that made him the most famous teen werewolf since Michael J. Fox put on a basketball uniform.

But despite no shortage of jokes about Lautner’s abs and his lines as Jacob Black, the “Twilight” star has a more ambitious career, one filled with meaty and dramatic roles, on his mind.

To achieve that, he’s looking at someone else who made the jump from teen pin-up to serious actor: Tom Cruise.

In 2011, Lautner will appear in his first major lead role with “Abduction,” a film that, though a commercial thriller, gave the 18-year-old a chance to work with an auteur director, John Singleton of “Boyz N the Hood” fame.

Lautner already had admired Cruise, and Singleton coached him on how to follow in the A-lister’s path (professionally). “I told him to watch the transition from ‘Top Gun’ to ‘Rain Man’ to ‘Born on the Fourth of July,’ ” Singleton told 24 Frames of his sessions with Lautner. “To think about what he did as a young man and what he did later on. And then think about what you want to do.”

Hollywood is rife with fresh faces who never become anything more. That’s the far more common route, in fact. Can Lautner take the other path?

” ‘Twilight’ is a great stepping stone for his career. It’s like, ‘Wow, he’s an icon already,’ ” Singleton said. “But now that you have this stature, it’s a question of what you do with it. And that’s what he’s been working hard on.” (Singleton is no stranger to developing performers famous for less actorly pursuits, having done that for Tupac Shakur in 1993′s “Poetic Justice.”)

For “Abduction,” Singleton had Lautner watch “Minority Report” (as well as “The Fugitive”) to show the actor the ways one can bring nuance to a traditional man-on-the-run part. Even though “Abduction” is a commercial thriller (premise: a teenager goes on the lam when he finds out the people he thought were his parents are something else entirely), that doesn’t mean that Lautner didn’t or couldn’t flash chops, Singleton said.

“I think when people see this film they’ll see a more mature Taylor,” Singleton said of the movie he recently finished shooting that’s set for release next fall. “He’s doing this [thing] he’s never done before. He’s funny and charismatic. He has room to breathe that he’s never had before.”

London, Jan 2 – ‘Twilight’ star Taylor Lautner says he was clueless about the success of the vampire saga and says the fame and attention he has received came as a huge surprise.

The 18-year-old, who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the franchise, said: ‘I just met the director and had no idea what I was getting myself into.’

The teenage star insists he has no regrets about any of his time in the movie series and is delighted with how his career is panning out, reports imdb.com.

‘It’s been great from then on,’ he said.

Taylor, who is expected to make over $25 million for the last part ‘Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’, which will be split into two movies, also praised his family for keeping him grounded.

‘I’m definitely thankful to have a supportive family, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them,’ he said.
