The average age of the presenters at tonight’s Oscar awards show declined with each announcement in the run-up to the telecast. Show producers, clearly attempting to woo potential teenage watchers, announced Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner would appear on the program (Cyrus and Efron for the second time, Stewart and Lautner for the first). Presumably the baby from “The Hangover” is standing by as well, to bring in the all-important infant demographic. Also announced to present are previous acting winners Sean Penn, Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz. And Elizabeth Banks, following in a grand tradition of Glamorous Young Female Stars Who Hope the Gig Will Lead to Better Oscar-Related Things (recently: Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams), hosted the Scientific and Technical Academy Awards, awarding Oscars to 45 individuals who achieved enormously impressive things that I couldn’t begin to describe. (Fun fact: The last male to host the Scientific and Technical Awards was Tom Hanks, back in 1992.) Watch out Robert Pattinson – Taylor Lautner’s boyish good looks and rock-hard abs have made him irresistible to women of all ages! Elisabeth Rohm, who plays Taylor’s mother in his upcoming film Abduction, is just another lady who has fallen under his charm and admitted to being Team Jacob! The beautiful Elisabeth Rohm talked to Hollywoodlife.com exclusively at the Global Green USA 8th Annual Pre-Oscar Party on Wednesday about how much she loved working with 19-year-old Taylor Lautner. “It was just a great experience, and Taylor is such a huge star, it was a really amazing milestone for me!” she gushed. When we asked if she was Team Jacob forever, the 37-year-old actress responded enthusiastically, “Totally!” Elisabeth has talked graciously about Taylor in the past, and told us that she doesn’t want to see him get his heartbroken by some heartless Hollywood hottie! In a new interview with Ryan Secrest, Oscar’s producer Bruce Cohen confirms that the Twilight trio will not be in attendance, but reveals that: “Robert, Taylor and Kristen will not be on the show, but the next best thing will happen and it’s going to blow people’s minds.” |

Teenage actress Christie Burke has joined the cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. She will play an older version of Mackenzie Foy’s Renesmee in a flash-forward scene involving Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black, who has imprinted on the young vampire baby. Renesmee will appear at various different ages throughout The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, with a number of different actors already signed onto portray each incarnation, including Rachel St. Gelais, Sierra Pitkin, and Eliza Faria. CGI will also be used to enhance each Resemee’s resemblance to Mackenzie Foy. One of the main scenes currently being shot in Vancouver for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is what has been described as “a happy future family scene when the kid is all grown up.” SOURCE: MovieWeb |
