Taylor Lautner works so hard on the physically-demanding set of Breaking Dawn that he needs great food to keep him energized — and he found a new sushi hotspot in Squamish!

Taylor, 19, has previously been spotted at local steakhouses, but on March 30 he opted to head to Sushi Sen. The restaurant isn’t too pricey, but it’s known locally as one of the best sushi spots in the area!

We’re glad Taylor’s diet is a little more refined than that of his werewolf Jacob!

Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins are head over heels for each other! Sources tells HollywoodLife.com that Taylor and Lily were spotted at Subway in Squamish, BC Canada on March 20 and Taylor seemed “really protective of her.” He’s filming Breaking Dawn until mid-April but he’s not letting that get in the way of their relationship!
“They went into Subway around 10:00 am and Taylor didn’t buy anything for himself,” says our source. “He bought Lily a chicken salad while about 15 teen fans stood by asking him for autographs. He told the fans to wait until they ordered and then Taylor posed for pictures and signed autographs. You could definitely tell they were dating … they were standing really close.”
Taylor and Lily met on the set of their upcoming film Abduction, and Lily has been known to visit Taylor on the Breaking Dawn set. They’ve even reportedly met each other’s families!
We’re glad to hear they are going strong and not letting the long distance drive them a part!

Post Categories: Breaking Dawn

Thanks to Sharon from Oogly.Com who had an interview with Tinsel and wanted us to post this on our site!

For you Twihards, actress Tinsel Korey is Emily Young, the werewolf leader’s scarred fiancé or “wolf girl” as Bella calls her in The Twilight Saga. But, what you probably don’t know is that she’s a super talented singer/songwriter too. That’s right. She acts. She sings. She’s gorgeous. And she can probably make you laugh in less than two seconds. Someone that chill must be inherently pretentious and self-involved. Nope. Tinsel’s about as down to earth and charming as they come. And I got to chat with her. Be jealous.

We talked about her single, “Letter” (get it here!), what she likes to do for fun and of course, Breaking Dawn. Read the interview below!

So how is Breaking Dawn coming along? How was filming this time around?

It was a lot different. It was a much bigger production than the other ones were. The cast was just massive. I think they have like 60 new vampires. So the feeling of a closer production, it didn’t feel that way because it was just so massive. But Bill Condon, the director, is really, really sweet. He takes his time to introduce himself to everybody, get acquainted and get a feel for the scenes and everything like that. So that was a really big delight this time.

What’s it like being one of the only girls around the wolfpack?

They are like my brothers. We’re really like a family. Just from the Twilight conventions and stuff like that, we get to see each other a lot more. Most of the time when you’re filming a movie, it’s kind of like summer camp. You finish it and you’re like, “Yeah, we should keep in touch.” And that never happens. But with this, where we’re constantly doing promotion for the movie and seeing each other and interacting with the fans, we’ve had more of a chance to bond as a family. And I’m kind of like a guy’s girl anyway. I get along better with guys I think than I do with girls. I don’t know. They are like my brothers. They are really cool.

Is it safe to assume that you’re Team Jacob?

I think by Breaking Dawn there are no teams. Bella’s marrying Edward, so I think the team scenarios are gone out the window at this point.

Fair enough. I saw the photos you tweeted during the whole makeup process. Tell me about that.

It’s really claustrophobic. They only have two spaces where your nostrils are so you can breathe. All of a sudden, it gets really really hot. You just have to focus on your breathing. They told me how they’ve had rock stars come in and completely panic because it’s so claustrophobic. But once it comes off, it feels glorious.

Haha. Do you get recognized a lot without the big scar?

Not really. When I have the bangs, I think a little bit more, but we didn’t actually cut them for Breaking Dawn. So I don’t know if people will recognize me more in this movie. But I think the bangs and also the scars….a lot of people when I don’t have the scars are like, “Oh, I didn’t even recognize you.” I don’t think it makes that much of a difference, but apparently it does. Also, I don’t look at people when I’m walking around because it makes me paranoid. So maybe people are recognizing me and I just don’t see it? I don’t get paparazzi following me around.

How is the paparazzi? Is it as bad as they say?

When we’re filming. Everyday life in L.A., I don’t really see them that much unless I’m at an event. But yeah, during filming they’re around. They hide in trees and stuff like that. But the place that we were shooting, I think they thought that we were at a different part of the island because they didn’t find us at all when we were shooting.

That’s good. So what’s it like working with Taylor Lautner?

I don’t get to see Taylor outside filming. You know, he came up and said, “Hi,” and he’s really sweet. Obviously, he has way more fans than any of us. He’s constantly dealing with paparazzi and fans and stuff like that. So he’s kind of separate than the rest of the wolfpack. We don’t get as much attention as he does. It’s just hard for him to go out without getting recognized. We get to hang out a bit during filming, but after that we don’t really get to see him that much. But he’s really nice.

Is it the same way with Rob, Kristen and the rest of the cast of vampires?

I’ve seen Nikki after filming. We had a really good chat. I wanted to hang out with her because I’ve been reading some of her blogs and stuff and she really seems cool. But we started filming Breaking Dawn again, so they’re still busy. Same thing with Taylor. So you don’t really get to hang out as much with them. Plus, none of my scenes are with them as well. So it’s almost like you’re shooting a completely different movie. You have the high school kids. And then the vampires and Volturi. And then us. It’s completely different filming processes.

Do you get typecast a lot?

Not really. I’ve had a pretty big body of work. I think people don’t realize how much you can work before you get something like Twilight, which is when you get thrown in front of people’s faces. I play all different types of roles. I don’t think I’ve been typecast. I think the casting problem that I do have is people don’t know where to put me. Lately, the feedback’s been like, “Love her audition, but she’s not right for this.” What does that mean exactly? I think I’m so specific or they just don’t know what to do with me that someone’s just going to have to write a role for me. That’s sort of the casting dilemma I’ve been put up against.

Do you want to continue with movies or do more TV?

I did both. I don’t think I have a stigma like if you’re a movie actor you cant do television. I would do either, for sure.

Do you watch a lot of TV? What are some of your favorite shows?

If I do, I watch shows on Hulu.com because I can never find the time to watch it when it’s actually on TV. I like Modern Family and Sofia Vergara — she’s so funny and she’s just gorgeous. Gorgeous and funny is a just an awesome combination. And I also just watched Breakout Kings. It just came out on A&E. It’s really, really good. The show is a cop drama, but it’s [about] people that were con artists and they help solve the murders. So you’re getting completely different perspectives. And the casting is fantastic in it. So, that’s like a new show.

Awesome. What else do you do for fun?

Hmm…videogames (laughs), like Super Mario Brothers and Mario Kart and stuff like that. I’m such a cerebral person. I’m always thinking about the world problems that I just need moments to dumb out. So videogames are like my haven.

Now a lot of people don’t know this, but you’re also a musician. Which came first for you — acting or music?

It’s just both, you know? I think I sort of go by that old Hollywood style of entertainment, which is they have to do everything. They’re singers, actors, dancers. I don’t think one came before the other. I think I’m constantly doing both. It’s just sort of like acting has been the foreground for my life. That’s where I made my money, so that has taken the front seat. But I always had music. I still play guitar and piano whenever I’m not filming. So, they’re equal. One’s just sort of in the driver’s seat right now.

So, what’s your songwriting process like?

Some of it comes from characters that I’ve played in different movies and TV shows I’m in. I think about what they’re going through. And then other songs are just about my life. Like “Letter” was cause I found out one of my good friends was going through a domestic violence situation. So it was really hard for me to know she was going through that. I didn’t know. So I wrote the song as almost like a healing process, you know? I don’t think she’s even heard it, but it was sort of going through those feelings. I think anytime I’m sad or whatever, that’s what I put it through. I put it through my music. That’s sort of what inspires that song. Other than movie characters, it’s just everyday life.

Who are some of your favorite musicians? Who inspires you?

My inspirations are Portishead, Sade and Shania Twain.

That’s a pretty big span of genres!

(Laughs). I feel like you can kind of hear it. I think even in a one of my songs, there’s a country twang to it. I love country. I’m huge country fan. I go from listening to like Tim McGraw, to gangster rap to classical music within like an hour span. It’s whatever feeling I’m going through. I don’t think you have to have a type of genre, I think that there’s beauty in all types of music.

Agreed. Now who are you not a big fan of? Who would you love to just disappear from the music industry?

I don’t know. (Laughs). I can’t say because everybody is a fan of somebody. I think a genre I could live without is the complete auto-tuning of music, when it’s completely synthesized and not even with that person anymore. And that’s like a lot of music nowadays. I love the organic sound of music. I like hearing guitar strings and the breath when someone is singing. Music nowadays, everything needs to be perfect, but I think there’s so much beauty in the flaws. I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I like hearing that organicness of it. So yeah, I could do without the whole auto-tuning phenomenon that’s been going on lately.

So…like Rebecca Black?

(Laughs). It’s good that a 13-year-old girl is chasing her dreams. That’s a positive thing.

I’m guessing you like to go to a lot of live shows?

Yeah, whenever I can I’ll go check out live music, for sure.

Would you want to release a full-length album eventually?

Yeah, that’s kind of my goal. I put out “Letter” so I could fund an album. I’m doing it independently and I think a lot of people don’t realize how much it costs to do an album, just paying guitarists, drummers and the editors and everybody. That’s a lot money. So, it’s like, I could go with a record label. I haven’t thought about it. It would help me put out an album sooner, but I also want control over my music. I don’t want someone to just take it and turn it into something that I don’t think it is. So, that’s sort of been a struggle getting those funds and putting that into getting an album done. Of course, I’d love to.

Who is someone you would love to act with and someone you would love to sing with?

I really want to do a duet with Eminem because he seems to like that breathy sound in female vocalists. So I think we could do an awesome song. Acting-wise, I think either of my two favorite actors, which are Ben Kingsley and Gwyneth Paltrow. I’d be happy being in their company. Also, I would love to do a Seth Rogan film. I think he’s so funny. I really want to do more comedy, so I’d be happy to get into that gang. Also because they keep doing movie after movie, once you’re in with that scene, they put you in like five or ten movies, so that would be cool.

Awesome! Thanks so much for talking with me!

Thank you!

Post Categories: Award Shows

New MTV Movie Award categories come and go. Best Kiss has been around since the beginning (“My Girl” co-star Anna Chlumsky and Macaulay Culkin were the inaugural winners in 1992), while Sexiest Performance and Best Virtual Performance lasted just a year (congrats, Jessica Alba and Gollum!).

For the 2011 show, one new category joins the field: Best Line From a Movie. Folks like Justin Timberlake (“Social Network”), Taylor Lautner (“Eclipse”) and Leonardo DiCaprio (“Inception”) will compete to make the final list of nominees.

We should add, however, that we’ve seen something like this before. For two years at the turn of the millennium, we presented a category called Best Line. Robert De Niro won that first year for asking Ben Stiller in “Meet the Parents,” “Are you a pothead, Focker?” The next year, “Legally Blonde” star Reese Witherspoon triumphed for delivering this line to Selma Blair: “Oh, I like your outfit too, except when I dress up as a frigid bitch, I try not to look so constipated.”

While comedic movie lines won twice in the past, there’s no telling what’s going to happen this year. Potential nominees are both young (“Grown Ups” star Alexys Nycole Sanchez: “I want to get chocolate wasted!”) and, well, not as young (“Tron: Legacy” star Jeff Bridges: “You’re really ruining my Zen thing”). There are laugh lines (“With no power, comes no responsibility,” Aaron Johnson said in “Kick Ass”) and deadly serious ones (“If you guys were the inventors of Facebook, you’d have invented Facebook,” Jesse Eisenberg declared in “The Social Network”). A few quotes are a little too dirty to print in full (“It’s in the shape of a giant co–,” cracks Chloë Moretz in “Kick Ass”). And then there are two “Eclipse” quotes facing off against each other: Lautner (“Let’s face it, I’m hotter than you”) versus Robert Pattinson (“Doesn’t he own a shirt?”).

Which lines will make the final list of nominees? It’s up to you, and voting is already under way at MovieAwards.MTV.com. Polls for Best Line From a Movie and the rest of the categories will stay open through April 5. After the final nominees are announced, another round of voting will kick off on May 3 and run through June 4. But voting for Best Movie will remain open during the awards show itself.

The 20th annual MTV Movie Awards will air live on Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

How did you enjoy doing that? What was it like working with Taylor Lautner – has he remained down-to-earth despite his sudden success?

Taylor Lautner, I was happy to discover, remains very down-to-earth in the face of insane fame and notoriety. After spending 4 months trekking across the Carolinas with George Clooney, I’m used to seeing a whole towns full of people come out to watch us film, but the crowds that would gather outside our base camp while filming “Abduction” was a level of hysteria that I was unaccustomed to. People, young girls especially, would camp out for days at a time just to get a glimpse of Taylor. It was like being on tour with the Beatles. And Taylor, like Clooney, couldn’t be nicer to his fans. Stopping whenever possible to sign autographs or take pictures, but invariably it would turn into a frenzy and eventually the security team would have to escort him away. If I was 19 years old, I don’t know if I could handle that level of fame. But Taylor takes it all in stride, and remains grounded. He was a pleasure to work with.

After the terrible earthquake and tsunami in Japan, the cast of Twilight evacuated a coastal area of BC. This was widely reported in the celebrity press, but no one said where they evacuated from exactly. The Calgary-Herald mentioned “Tofino area.” Canadian Press also mentioned Tofino, but didn’t get more specific. People Magazine reported that they were advised to evacuate the beach and referred only to “the Vancouver Island beach area” where they were filming.. Another report I read said, “Vancouver Island.” Where did the Twilight crew hang out on the coast, I wondered. After hours, that is.

Twilight didn’t matter on the scale of things that were happening in the world, so I didn’t think about it again until this morning when it came up in conversation. I was talking with a staff person in the spa at the Black Rock Resort in Ucluelet. I’d come to Black Rock to enjoy the wonderful Pacific Rim Whale Festival, a week of events inspired by the diversity of marine life on the Canadian Pacific coast. Black Rock is one of the sponsors of the Whale Festival. Chatting about the resort’s two years in business, the staff person mentioned that the Twilight crew had recently taken over the entire hotel while shooting Breaking Dawn.

“They bought it out and nobody else could get in.” She paused. “There was one exception.”
A staff person’s daughter was turning thirteen that night. Her father had booked a reservation way in advance for her daughter’s special evening at the hotel’s Fetch restaurant. The Fetch was closed to everyone except for the Twilight crew, but the father and daughter had booked so far in advance, they still got a table. When they entered the restaurant, there was Taylor Lautner himself. They tried to say hello. But Lautner had body guards around him. They stepped in the way. That didn’t stop Lautner . He heard it was a thirteenth birthday celebration and said he’d come and say hello when he finished eating.

He kept his promise. When he finished his dinner, he posed with the daughter for a photograph, which she’s posted on her Facebook page.

The parking lot was full of vehicles related to the film shoot, from cars to trailers for make-up, catering and props.
When the tsunami warning hit, the parking lot emptied out in a matter of hours.

“I don’t know where they went. It was like they just all vanished,” the staff person said.

The pivotal ‘Twilight Saga’ scene will reportedly shoot next month in Vancouver.

With only four weeks left of filming for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I,” one of the key scenes left to be shot is the wedding scene between Edward and Bella. Now comes word that the scene will be shot during the first week of April in Vancouver.

The news was revealed by Gil Birmingham, who plays Billy Black, during a chat at a “Twilight Saga” fan convention in Nashville over the weekend, according to AceShowbiz.com. Filming for “Breaking Dawn” is scheduled to wrap in mid-April, making the wedding scene one of the last in the film’s production. Late last week, the film’s production was suspended when tsunami warnings threatened production on Vancouver Island.

MTV News had not received confirmation of the filming plans for the wedding scene as of press time.

The Bella-Edward honeymoon scenes were shot late last year in South America. Fans were excited when a photo of Edward and Bella in bed, which Robert Pattinson later laughed off, was released as a tease.

“It’s always awkward, in a way, doing it with anybody,” he admitted about getting cozy in bed with a co-star. “But at the same time … it really depends on how it’s staged and stuff. It’s like doing Twister.”

Kristen Stewart also spoke to MTV News last fall about the pressures of picking out just the right dress for that long-awaited wedding scene. “To be honest, it’s such a big deal. It’s such a big decision. I have a little hand in having a decision — or having an opinion more — but I think it’s pretty much up to Stephenie,” Stewart said, referring to “Twilight” saga author Stephenie Meyer. “I’m not quite sure exactly what it’s going to look like, but it will be beautiful, I’m sure,” she added.

Nikki Reed (“Rosalie Hale” in the Twilight Saga) has been enjoying a busy few weeks in between production sessions on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. As you know, she hit up the premiere of Catherine Hardwicke’s Red Riding Hood earlier this week, and this weekend, she went to Nashville’s Official Twilight Convention stop. Before the latter, though, she attended the fashion line show for UK Style by French Connection, and ReelzChannel caught up with her to discuss Breaking Dawn’s filming.

“We’ve been working really, really hard, and we’re working long hours,” she said. “I happen to be in this last installment quite a bit . . . and I’m tired but it’s nice to be together again.”

Indeed her character does have a bigger part in Breaking Dawn than in any of the prior films, as she assumes the role of baby protector throughout the book.

While at the Twilight Convention yesterday, Nikki Reed shared a few further details about her work on the film, and Twilight Lexicon live-tweeted them as follows:

They are almost totally done with filming Breaking Dawn.

She says Taylor is really sexy in the scene where he hits her in the head with a dog bowl.

She describes the way Rose and Bella bond in BD as being very intimate. She and Kristen are also bonding from that.

She cut her hand in one scene and she had to wear the only gloves she had to cover the cut. They are zebra print.

She’s having a good time with this film. Says she didn’t know they would use Rose as much as they did for this film.

She hinted that she and Kellan get to make out FINALLY in this fim.

With Hawaii and the North American West Coast placed on tsunami advisories early Friday after an 8.9-magnitude earthquake struck in Japan, the Vancouver Island beach area in British Columbia where Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart and the rest of the Wolf Pack are filming the Twilight series’ Breaking Dawn has been evacuated.

The actors are not believed to be in any danger, but for safety measures they apparently have been moved out of the region.

The town where production is taking place, Tofino, contains a long stretch of open coast on the furthest westerly point of the island and was seen in the earlier The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Tinsel Korey, 30, who plays Makah Emily Young in the movies, rather dramatically Tweeted Friday: “They’re evacuating us 4 a tsumnani [sic] warning. If this … is my last my tweet. I love you. The end. Hugz.”

She later added, “If this is the moment. Then I’ve lived a good life. And I’m thankful 4 everything I’ve been given.”
