Justin Bieber had a very good year. Seriously, like a major one that rivals most corporate CEOs’. According to a People magazine ranking of the top-earning teen actors and musicians, Bieber, 17, raked in $53 million in 2010. Most of that cash came from his smash movie, “Never Say Never,” and his hit fragrance, “Someday.” (By contrast, girlfriend Selena Gomez made $5.5 million.) Bieber reached that big-baller level thanks to the record-breaking returns from “Never,” which is the most successful concert-themed film in U.S. history, with more than $73 million earned to date. Nipping at his heels was veteran teen starlet Miley Cyrus, whose haul was $48 million, almost all of it earned from touring. Other big earners on the list include “Twilight” top wolf Taylor Lautner, who earned $8.5 million for the final two installments of the movie series, as well as $7.5 million for his upcoming starring debut in the action thriller “Abduction.” Nick Jonas had a very good year as well, with totals around $12.5 million, while “Two and a Half Men” star Angus T. Jones banked $7.8 million, thanks to a $300,000 per episode payday. Jaden and Willow Smith made the list, with Jaden earning $5 million last year, $3 million of it from his starring role in “The Karate Kid,” while sister Willow’s music career rang up $4 million. Acting sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning also did pretty well, with Dakota, 17, getting $4 million for “Breaking Dawn” and Elle, 13, taking home $1.5 million for “Super 8.” SOURCE: MTV |

Just in case this video isn’t enough to convince you to check out Taylor in his latest movie (which hits theaters September 23), here are the top five reasons why we can’t wait to see it! 1. More Taylor. This is his first leading man role, so we’ll really get to see him show off his acting chops. Plus, this means even more screen time for those fantastic abs! 2. Action. The plot looks super intense, and we definitely won’t find ourselves drifting off with all the fight scenes and explosions! 3. Cool stunts. Those fight scenes we were talking about? Yeah, that’s all Taylor. He trained in martial arts when he was younger, so he does mostly all of his own stunts! 4. Real romance.Taylor and Lily Collins are dating in real life, so their on-screen chemistry is bound to be super-steamy. 5. Taylor. Is. So. Gorgeous. Those smoldering eyes, that rock hard body… honestly, we probably didn’t even need any other reasons. SOURCE: Seventeen |

We all know him as the Jacob in the twilight saga movies. However not many of us know that Taylor has is a martial arts expert and was ranked number one in his category by the American Sports Karate Association. His has enabled Taylor to want to carry out many of his own stunts due to his martial arts experience. His insurance company however doesn’t agree with Taylor and believe that all this stunts have to be done by his stunt double. Taylor has become a heart throb since joining the cast of Twilight and it may come as a little disappoint to his many fans that he won’t be doing his own stunts. However, this won’t stop his fame as he is seen in his own right as a fashion icon and is often seen out in trendy bars and restaurants wearing the latest fashion such as superdry, converse and lacoste polo shirts. |

Added scans from the new Entertainment Weekly magazine. There’s one still where Rosalie and Jacob are talking – probably the part where she throws the dog bowl at him. Anyways, there is another piece of news. The three Abduction stills that were put up that came from Taylor-Lautner.Com were unauthorized. Those from Lionsgate are asking all fansites to remove them. |

Lionsgate announced today, by way of The Hollywood Reporter, that Taylor Lautner’s latest film Abduction will serve as a bit of a tester for the studio’s video-on-demand offering plans, as the first film which the studio releases on demand early. The studio will make the film, which hits theaters on Sept. 23, available on VOD three months after its release, according to Bloomberg. Other studios have been using a 60 days window for their early-release trials in the so-called premium VOD window. According to Bloomberg, Abduction will be offered for $6.99 in standard definition and $7.99 in HD, well below the typical early release prices of around $30. Meanwhile, a few new stills from the film have been released (see the slideshow attachment). Nice to hear that Lionsgate is researching alternatives to DVD releases, right? SOURCE: Examiner |

Thanks to Victoria for sending this in: Taylor Lautner (Twilight, Valentine’s Day) will head to Australia this month to promote his new action-thriller, Abduction, directed by John Singleton. Lautner will meet and greet fans on the red carpet in Melbourne (August 21) and Sydney (August 23) before attending private screenings for a select few lucky competition winners. About Abduction: Nathan Harper (Lautner) has had the uneasy feeling that he’s been living someone else’s life for as long as he can remember. When he stumbles upon an image of himself as a boy on a missing persons website, all of Nathan’s darkest fears come true: he realizes his parents are not his own and his life is a lie, carefully fabricated to hide something more mysterious and dangerous than he could have ever imagined. Unwittingly thrust into a deadly world of covert espionage, Nathan is targeted by a team of trained killers, forcing him on the run with the only person he can trust, his neighbour, Karen (Lily Collins). Every second counts as Nathan and Karen race to evade an army of assassins and federal operatives. But as his opponents close in, Nathan realizes that the only way he’ll survive – and solve the mystery of his elusive biological father – is to stop running and take matters into his own hands. Abduction also stars Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello, Denzel Whitaker, Michael Nyqvist and Sigourney Weaver. Abduction will be released on 22 September 2011 in Australia from Roadshow Films.
