Taylor may be slender but must be as solid as a rock if the impressions of his hands & feet are any indication – deep in the cement & big compared to his co/stars – not delicate by any means.
First I’ll admit this really is a rare honor, but enough is enough. Got sucked in to watching it. If the mc’s are as ill prepared for all the ceremonies as this one they should be fired. Taylor’s 22 or 23 I’ll have you know. After the ceremonies Taylor totally disappeared from camera view & as far as I can tell didn’t sign any autographs, couple shots of Kristen signing and all cameras remained on Rob signing till it faded to black. Guess Summits relegated Taylor to the basement & is totally focusing on Rob (security for Rob was “baldy” who I’ve always seen with Taylor)..so be it. Can’t believe Taylor would ignore the fans who turned out unless he was told (Summit) not to do it. Too bad for the fans. Hopefully he came out later and I’m being overly critical. Kimmel introduced the trio and SM made a few remarks, she needs to stick to writing. Personally I’d rather see Taylor bake a cake with Martha then listen to anymore shilling for this movie.
lizzie, I’m confused by your comments. Are you saying you think Taylor is 22 or 23 years old? He’s 19. I think he was probably out there signing, but let’s face it as of right now in the press’ eyes Rob is probably the bigger draw. Or maybe he had to rush and do his press conference. DIdn’t they all do one today and I’m pretty sure they were after the ceremony. He might have been first so had to be rushed away. I’m sure we’ll get an explanation. Oh and his shoes were probably deeper also because of the heel he wears on them to increase his height.
@spinnelli just watched a replay, as lizzie said the female mc was gushing about how much of a twilight fan she was, & said Taylor was 22 or 23. not going to bother with the rest of the explaining since you take things so literally, you wouldn’t understand, it’s a trend of what we can expect from here on in.
Thanks for clearing that up cher, I totally didn’t get the obvious dry tone to lizzie’s comments, which I do now. My own dry wit, didn’t come through either so it’s all good. OTOH, I agree it’s a trend of things to come. Especially after seeing that MTV thing. Why did they even bother to make him sit there? And I’m just so glad we have to have him get into the baby-imprinting already. As if we won’t get enough of that during the press for the second film. RME. As for Kristen, I know some people like them together but she really gets on my nerves because she treats Tay more like a pet rather than a person.
@spinelli wanted to keep the Handprint ceremony thread on a positive note; all 3 have a lifetime memory and deserve congratulations. Taylor, like you said, was rushed off to the BD Press Conference .
Saw the MTV interview like you, and found it painful, this can be laid directly in the lap of Summits Promo…this nonsense about not letting RP & KS appear together (especially with this movies storyline) is nonsense. Let Taylor promote by his lonesome or at least with some other cast, watching them all but shut the door in his face made me uncomfortable. Basically my interest was with the saga rather than the individual actors, but this left a rather bitter taste in my mouth. He deserves to be treated better by the studio (and for that matter his co-stars, they disappointed me, they made no effort to include him). And I agree he’s going to be fielding “baby love” questions from here on in. At least their not of the Bieber variety (trying to figure if this isn’t a “viagra” boost for the Bieb or legit – take the paternity test & that’s that).
@cher I think I understand what you mean by the trend this promotion is taking. I hate watching when someones being dissed (that’s what the t-shirt said Josh gave him. It said dissed by Bella, should’ve said Summit, & his costars. He would’ve been better off wandering off stage, I didn’t even listen to what the others were saying, I felt so bad for him. Enough. Probably won’t watch anything that has the 3 of them again, can’t see the dynamics changing.
Sitting here in OH with the task of writing a succinct paragraph about today’s Twilight related events for news network . Use this site for fan opinions. I have to agree the MTV interview painfully ignoring taylor was obvious, this shouldn’t have happened. and I get this assignment because I don’t follow it and therefore am considered unbiased. Hope future interviews are less partisan & better managed (not much you can do about the costars).
judging from the clips and promotions, I am afraid jacob will have less scene than he should in the book. Breaking Dawn will be even more focused on Bella-Edward than Eclipse. I am so dissapointed. The premier is coming but my interest in Breaking Dawn was fading.
Whether taylor has signed is a question olny a witness can tell. Even if he didn’t, there must be reason for this like a busy schedule or something.
Ok, I haven’t seen the MTV interview either and from what everyone here saying, won’t be wasting time watching it either.
Now, I’m also worried about the Ellen show with the other 2 there with him. I hope it won’t be the same as the MTV interview.
@Ashley many of the other castmembers will be there, so it won’t he won’t be the one left out in the cold all by himself; Ellen will have more control with the interview, she & her network don’t have the vested interest in BD that MTV has & won’t have Summit calling the shots.
Like to see & judge things for myself. Sadly, the comments are right. Even if taylor was ok with it, watching someone who was to be part of something, invited to be there & then basically ignored goes against my nature. I was uncomfortable watching it. one thing I noticed, simply moving kristen’s chair back a couple inches would have allowed her to have included both taylor & rob in her comments without having her turn her back on either one. but since she had the most to say & the questions were slanted to the “couple” it really made you wonder why he was there; nothing like being slighted in public.
I did hear him say the bit about the van sant collaboration being “premature” – if this news wasn’t officially released along with all the other missteps you begin to think somebody is actually trying to sabotage taylor (I know sounds paranoid, but just way too many of these “stories” happening & other parts of his handling have been spot on). He needs to come out with something concrete & start filming soon – or like someone said take a break & go back to school. Also heard that they knew they were in trouble with Abduction – had a lot of shot scenes and there was nothing to tie them together, so there was no continuity, day turned to night, wet turned to dry, limping turned to running like a cheetah – directors need to film enough so when they put the film together it flows without gaping glitches. dialogue was sorta goofy (script) but saying that I don’t believe it deserved the trashing it got.
anyway now that I know firsthand, will only watch interviews where they are on their own, especially taylor. agree with @abby, so probably will watch Ellen. if they start bringing up the “imprint” too often probably will just skip the whole thing.
I’m pretty sure that story was officially released by his team. By ‘premature’ he probably meant in its early stages or he can’t really talk about it now. If it wasn’t true his team would have debunked it by now. It’s all over the web. Everyone’s talking about it.
It was probably a leak and someone doesn’t know all the facts. Taylor says it’s premature (but there is an “article floating around out there). Lance Black (on the red carpet) says he was never asked to do the script but he is friends with TL & knows knows & respects Van Sant, so if TL ever works with Van Sant in the future it would be a positive thing, Now Wyck Godfrey comes out & says TL was to have starred in Goliath but decided not to, and he doesn’t know why. They’re trying to turn off the speculation machine. I read where a lot of things out there about TL is “off”. We have a new pr team, it’s not them. Somebody is trying to muddy the waters and it makes TL look bad (same thing happened with Deadline & the Michael Bay story, when he basically said there was nothing to it). Unless it comes from TL or an officially named spokesperson we need to not take it as true.

I thought I was the only one who noticed Taylor’s rather large hands and feet lol!!! Shame on me. Oh and I hear ya lizzie. I hear ya.

Big hands and feet.. you know what that means. Sorry… I shouldn’t.

Congrats to Taylor for the handprint, it’s a great honor for him.
I have not seen the MTV interview, but from what you guys are saying, I dont think I wanna see it.

I didn’t get to see much news on Taylor because the R/K blogs was focus on Robsten so that sucks.
