I‘ve been eager to know what was on his mind when shooting the imprinting scene, I mean how did he relate to that scene.( we all know it is one of BD’s best)
But now I annoyed by all the interviews: why none of them mentioned that question??
True, he’s interview are getting boring. But it’s not taylor to be blamed, It is the interviewers: they didn’t even have any inspring questions~~~

i wanna talk about abduction…
i know that they say abduction fails…. but in my opinion, abduction fails because people are forcing to film it in such a short time before taylor began shooting BD, this is why abduction isn’t that great… and beside that, taylor is still in the “jacob” style thing… so that kinda got carried into abduction…. i guess if they could be more patient to shoot abduction, maybe it would come out better…..
anyone agrees on me with this? this is just my opinion… please forgive if my english isn’t very good.. :D

As to your AB comment…In my opinion it is so hard to know what went wrong. Script was questionable, director hadn’t done a movie in a while, etc. Lionsgate studios is trying to merge with Scummit due to money issues and their last few movies have not done well due to poor promotion and budget constraints. It seemed like Taylor single-handedly promoted AB in foreign markets. So many Twilight fans(even Robsten fans) thought Taylor nailed Jacob in BD but the critics still went after him. I think when the material is marginal there is only so much an actor (a young one) can do with it. From a financial standpoint, AB earned back what it needed to and that is what matters to execs. That is my two cents. There are other commenters on here that can give you an even better opinion.

RE: Nicholas Sparks: I enjoy his books. Every time I read one, I can envision Taylor portraying one of the characters. I think it would be a good fit. Hey, maybe he will write one specifically for Taylor as he did for Miley… now,I like that idea! ♥♥♥♥♥

@Nicholas Sparks sounds interesting. We don’t know if anything’s going to come of it, but it could be a decent part for Taylor, especially if as jeanne said, he writes it specifically for him. Sparks adaptations usually get critically panned, but the Notebook was a decent movie, so it’s possible to turn his books into decent films.

Welcome to the group Chris. Where’s home for you? We’re from all over the world, so English is definitely not the first language for all of us.
Re Abduction, I think the director had a very clear view of what Nathan had to be. From something Taylor said, whenever he tried to add a bit of light and spark to his version of the character, the director shut him down. Taylor has such a vivid personality, and Nathan had to be entirely different. I think Taylor mainly wants to learn now, so he took on board everything that was said, and did as asked.
As you say, time was limited, so the result perhaps had less spark and vibrancy than it could have…? And a better script would no doubt have helped.
But it did what it was meant to do. An action story, a bit of romance, a bit of thriller. It was never meant to win an Oscar. A good learning step for Taylor.

Well I think Taylor was really good at the beginning of the movie when he was just a normal teenager boy. Funny, a little awkward next to Karen and charming. But the thing is…I just don’t like action movies. I know I’m lame but I want to see him being romantic, charming – in a romantic comedy or maybe a drama.
We’re all waiting to know about his next project too!

Welcome, Chris. Even though Taylor said it’s premature, but The Hollywood Reporter (who broke the news in the first place) insists that he downplayed the status of the project. So, we don’t really know at this point.

To be frank I don’t really like Notebook movie. It’s a good story, but I don’t think Ryan Gosling is a good choice for his character. It’s obvious taylor’s character, romantic, passionate, persistent, and loyal(jocob again?hehe!).
The point is, I believe Sparks will be a great choice for the script writter for taylor!

I love how Taylor mentions he likes giving creative gifts. Can you imagine what he gave Taylor Swift for her 2009 birthday? She says “you gave me roses and I left them there to die” I wonder how creative he made those roses to look. <3 Gotta love him.

I wanted to make this comment on a BD site, but didn’t want to stir up the haters, so I’ll drop it here. Apparently BD is still making money, but the 2nd and 3rd weeks have dropped behind where NM and Eclipse were, % wise. I would have loved to say why I think that happened- “more people wanted to see Taylor 1/2 naked than Rob. When Taylor said he only had one shirtless scene, what’s the point?” Now, I don’t really feel that way….well not the second half anyway, but I thought at least the first statement is valid. Even though I read the books multiple times, I still want a better ending. I still haven’t seen BD. In the last two movies I felt Jacob still had a chance. In BD, my heart just breaks for him and I really don’t want to see the happy couple doing what happy couples do. Maybe I’m not the only one who feels this way and that’s why Eclipse and New Moon held up better. Or maybe I’m just lame…

@lilome what Taylor did to retain his role for NM and his age at the time is what really made this a headline. He started a trend – now ripped/chiseled bods are almost a necessity. No the # of moviegoers who simply go to see TL’s ripped bod are a drop in the bucket. The “story” is the most important factor; and short & simple there are a sizeable # who were tired by the “dragging out of the “romance”, Jacob continuing to “cave” & not learning he should tell the bunch of them to “go to the devil” and totally not comfortably able to wrap themselves around “imprinting” on a new bundle of blood drinking bundle of joy that will be Jacob’s lot in life “for as long as he takes a breath”. Don’t blame it on hormone giddy girls not showing because he didn’t lose his shirt.

Lilome-I agree with you–loved the picture but DID NOT like the cigarette!! I don’t want to imagine what smoking would do to Taylor’s beautiful teeth and skin. But, I guess I’ll just look at the rest of him and not worry about it :)
New Moon was my favorite book AND movie, not because of Taylor’s shirtless scenes (although I DO love those ), but because Jacob is hopeful and happy in the first half. I went to see BD twice, because a heartbroken and rejected Jacob/Taylor is better than no Jacob/Taylor at all, but I wasn’t really looking forward to it b/c I knew how his heart would be squashed YET AGAIN and I had no interest in seeing the “happy couple” together. Even when I buy the DVD, I know I won’t watch it as much as NM and Eclipse.

Adding my two cents to this discussion–I think there are some fans of the Twilight books who have grown out of the fandom and some who were drawn to the saga by pap pics during NM filming that made Robsten look like a couple in real life and Taylor’s new body. Also, the complete shutdown of pap pics during the filming of BD lost some fans since they were not being fed Robsten PR. The Robsten PR for BD only kicked in a month or two before release. NM will always be my favorite because Jacob is still sunny like the book. I liked the warm coloring of the movie too.

I went to watch NM 5 time and Eclipse 3 times but I just don’t want to watch BD at all! For now on I’m only going to support Taylor so no more Twilight for me.

Rain…I don’t think that Taylor has grown conceited. I can’t imagine his family would put up with it. Critics of BD had to have humbled the entire cast! HA HA I do think he is more guarded about who he is dating since he has learned how vicious certain fans can be and doesn’t like seeing people he cares about hurt.

I’m sorry I love Taylor and all but that hand gesture is really really gay!! In fact throughout the whole interview he did with LIly Collins, the way he’s acting towards her and everything looks really gay. I don’t know what he was trying to do, doesnt look like his usual self at all. Wanting to impress her or something but he comes off like a sassy. And these rumor are spreading like wildfire. I saw on twitter many of his fangirls are also believing it and are really upset about it.
Another rumor going around is that Rob want him to stay away from Kristen.
Seriously, Taylor really need to stay away from these two and stop being in the middle. I’m not dissing but sick and tired of seeing people refering to him as being 3rd wheel. He doesn’t need to be around them.

I think the timing is iffy. The interview was over 2 months ago. And spreading wildfire now? Someone’s trying to bring him down. BD is no. 1 worldwide. Even if he’s only a third of the magnificent trio, he’s still pretty successful. Just IMHO.

So I was reading something on this site earlier where someone said that he was trying to get back with Lily during his Abduction promo in Europe and he was being dishonest with Swift about it and was hurting her. I didn’t want to make any comment back then cos I was skeptical. But I guess after seeing this interview it seemed true. Taylor has made a fool of himself there trying to be cute or something but coming off totally gay.
So congrats Taylor, not only did you not able to get back with Lily (but I think it’s a good thing cos I’ve seen her bringing you nothing but bad luck since you associated yourself with her), but you’ve managed to loss / hurt your good friend – Swift – in the process. To top it off, you have also managed to levitate yourself higher on the gaydar. So bravo man.

Even in link,that gave Lilly,people are wondering why it is necessary to make an unambiguous conclusion on such a joking gesture, which he could mean anything ..
We all know that Taylor is easy to parody something, or someone…on YouTube has a video, where he was a teenager, and says he met a gay on the street, and there he slaps himself on the ass .. and what?
This does not mean anything.
Zachary Quinto has never shown this hand gestures, but we all know now that he’s gay.
Anyone want to speculate on just this subject, having pulled out into the daylight video almost three months ago, but I see Taylor just trying to flirt with his ex-girlfriend, and he did it very well )

Actually, it was my friend who pointed that out to me. She think Lily jinx Taylor from the beginning. As soon as they started to hook up during filming, we got that fiasco about his caravan, then came his publicist problem. My friend think that its a sign that she is not good for him and the movie wont do well. She said “watch, there’ll be another fiasco after that (publicist one) cos bad thing always come in 3″ and I just laugh at her. But omg! it seemed that Lily did strike again. In their only interview together for the movie, she managed to make him the laughing stock of this gay rumors again. I hope Taylor will stay far and away from her from now on. She really does seemed to jinx him whenever he get associated with her.

i read online that the extras on set all talked about how lily was a brat on set and that she was always there trying to score with taylor and just being plain rude to others . No offesive but lily always came off the me as being a bit stuck up and rude . Taylor on the other hand ive found charming and when he was looking at lily in the interviews i thought it was him just letting her know that it was her turn to speak not that he wanted to get back together with her .
