Emily ,Marianne Seriously I cannot watch twilight without her saying I don’t care if Edward’s have thickest sideburns I still can tap that or saying I can bounce a quarter off of Taylor’s ass or the hell with picking Bella why chose when you can have both when it’s hot outside and your body needs a cool down get Edward or when its cold outside and your body needs be warm there’s your Jacob. Kia–That is hilarious! My mom has said some similar things, but she is totally Team Jacob. She hated Edward from the get-go. She says his skin is too white, lips too red, and just ugly!! She is quite fond of Taylor/Jacob though. Her comment was “Why is there even a question of who’s “hotter?” “Bella’s an idiot.”

Emily… There will be lots of photo shoots for the last Twi movie , MTV awards, TCAs, BD2 previews and TV appearances for the cast and we can hope for some random fan sitings. Nobody expected these pics from Cirque so maybe he will surprise us. He could go paddle surfing with Rob!!

I’m pretty sure Taylor will have a new movie project before 7/12/13. I certainly hope so. I miss Taylor.
I really hope it’s a drama that’s really different from what he’s done before, and I really hope they start filming this year so we can get pictures. Can’t wait to see what it is:)x

Wasn’t the reason given for “Stretch” being dropped a scheduling conflict (for this fall). GUps2 is to start filming in June, so it’s not that, so what’s the fall conflict?

“scheduling conflict” is used a lot of times in Hollywood in order to hide the real reasons. I doubt SA is even close to going into production. And I doubt Taylor has any real conflicts. I think they just decided to part ways. Hopefully it was because Taylor realized that film was a joke. But even if he was dropped, it’s just a blessing in disguise.

It sounds like they’re doing pick-up shots for the battle scenes. So Taylor wouldn’t be needed since he’s CGI’d for most of those. Bummer.

I’m sad. Maybe that means that Taylor did so well with his scenes, nothing needed to be reshot. Oh well. It would have been nice to see him donning that flannel or the little jean shorts one last time.
I’m looking forward to seeing him with David Henrie. Know nothing about him except from seeing him on Wizards of WP. His character was pretty goofy. Don’t know what his real personality is like, but hopefully he will get along well with our adorkable guy. I did notice in the last season that he had pretty nice muscles—Ok, I WILL NOT allow myself to have impure thoughts about any other much-too-young-for-me actor. Taylor is the only one that holds that distinct place in my head/heart(?).

Kia–Ha!Ha! I was just thinking the same thing about Rob’s hair. For the production value of most of the movies being so high, it looks like they could have gotten better looking wigs. Most of them were really, seriously bad.
I agree about Taylor’s ability to set hearts a-flutter. There are other actors that I enjoy watching and I like their looks and talent, but he’s the only one ever that I’ve become so invested in and “passionate”(I’ll use his word, instead of obsessed) about. I think it’s his looks+personality+goodness+sweetness+talent that draws people in.

Tell me have the inmates taken over the institution in the publicist arm of a young celeb – what demographic are they trying to attract with this Oooops I did it again reboot…1) the condom fumble on the red carpet 2) the bare arse photo op on the hotel balcony 3) the infomercial on how to unhook a bra with a single digit while he & his costar are being interviewed (in Australia??) on their new movie promo, all this in the past month…son of a pup this is nuts (if this agenda is kept on track the next Oooooops will be a Hugh Grant on Rodeo Drive). At least Taylor keeps his pants on & the vitals you get to gander are only “in your dreams baby”!!

legoland–Apparently, he is trying to get as far as possible from the Disney image that made him famous in the first place. I understand wanting to move on to being accepted in adult roles, but gosh. I agree this is getting to be a little much. I hadn’t even heard about #2. I was kind of wanting to see The Lucky One, but now I don’t know. This is EXACTLY what I was talking about in post #44. I liked him in other roles, he’s attractive and seems to be talented, but with all this stuff going on, it’s kind of making me want to skip his movies now. Taylor seems to be classier than that.

going this route in a very obvious ‘self promotion’ is a lot diff than taking on risque, edgy film roles to get attn; appears to be just a male version of the timeless T&A scheme (tacky tacky tacky) – @lego hope the red carpet didn’t suck up all his “wiener wraps” cause if he ends up on Rodeo Drive ala HG he’s gonna need them or he’ll be sorry! Emily…I’m wondering if all this acting out isn’t because Vanessa has been in the tabs with her new bf with hot and heavy PDA and was at Coachella having lots of PDA. Personally, I find it all very tacky. I lost interest in Efreminate when I’ve heard some of his interviews and he swears and goes on about being drunk. Seems like he tries too hard to appear edgy. Hope Taylor stays classy and doesn’t go this route.

@peace–I agree with your comments about the gay rumors. I don’t think you are a true fan of someone if you don’t accept him/her as he/she is. It just gets so old, and if you think about it, happens to just about every young, handsome star that becomes famous. (Or female stars who don’t publicize any relationships.) Actually, some of Hollywood’s now A-listers have been plagued by these rumors throughout their whole careers, marriages, etc. I guess it just comes with the territory. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with being gay. I just mean perpetuating any untrue rumors about anyone is ridiculous. His life is so uncontoversial, people have to come up with something to attack him with, so they choose his acting and personal life. My feeling is: He says he’s straight, leave him alone. (Not that it would matter to me if he wasn’t.) I think everyone, even celebrities, deserve the right to some privacy and shouldn’t have to explain themselves or declare themselves one way or the other. It’s nobody’s business except their own.
We have lots of fun here with our joking, fantasizing, and innuendo, but we will defend Taylor to the death, if needed.:)
@Fans–Yes, our Taylor seems to be very fond of his t-shirts, especially v-necks. Remember his plaid shirt phase a couple of years ago? I like to think that he mixes it up every once-in-a-while. He is just so seldomly photographed these days, and all the pics seem to be candids with fans or him just out doing everyday things, so natuarally he’d be dressed casually. I know I have a few favorite shirts I seem to wear all the time, too, but my clothing budget IS much smaller than his. I’m just glad to see photos of him, regardless of what he’s wearing (or not. . .:))

my brothers live in t-shirts & jeans/shorts. they sleep in them, they wear them everywhere except church & work or on a very special date (which is about zero). they’re 9, 16, 17 & 19. 9 & 17 even sleep in them & they all like boring colors just like Taylor, he would fit right in.

Sorry, a bit late posting here. Thanks everyone for some interesting comments on the Zefron and the inevitable “Tay is gay” rumours.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that, as a fan, it DOES matter to me whether or not Taylor is gay. I have given this a lot of thought and I wonder why I feel this way .It is not because it would mean he would never be attracted to me – I prefer to admire gorgeous actors like Taylor from afar and would not want to be involved with him personally (not that I would ever stand a chance anyway!) . Neither is it is not to do with my having a problem with people being gay. I have many gay friends who I adore. And yet I do not want to know that a film star playing a heterosexual romantic leading man / action hero is gay. Somehow that knowledge gets in the way of my suspension of disbelief. I feel the same way about openly straight actors playing gay roles actually. Unless they are truly great actors I find it hard to forget. I have nothing but admiration for Zachary Quinto’s coming out recently but he is a character actor in a very different position to Taylor. If you are gay but position yourself as a “movie star” / pin-up, you sign a Faustian pact: hide your true self indefinitely or come out and risk your career. The physicality of love / sex scenes is unique. Every other on-screen physical interaction can be faked: even fight scenes can be CGI’d. But in a love scene the actors are forced to make physical contact with each other. If you the viewer KNOW that doesn’t come naturally to one of them or may not be pleasant for them it takes away from the moment UNLESS they are the finest of actors. And most “heartthrob” movie stars, including Taylor, just aren’t.
That said, I think most of us dedicated fans know there is good evidence that Taylor has been genuinely involved in relationships with girls. But he is so private about it that it is understandable that people who DON’T trawl the internet searching for clues (ie. normal people, not us Taylor addicts) would assume he is gay. Some of his mannerisms don’t help either, nor his apparent friendships with certain power players in Hollywood…. But I think maybe he could benefit from being just a little more relaxed about his private life. Perhaps he should take some tips from One Direction! (joking) (:

What bothers me about the gay rumors is that they always come from haters. So they are not saying this as a compliment but they want to see him fail. And that shows how hypocrite people can be sometimes because I see a lot of gay people trying to bash him saying that he acts effeminate or whatever.
And I like his outfits. He’s just so handsome that he doesn’t even need to try. :)

To me it seems very weird to be able to suspend your disbelief enough to enjoy watching Taylor morph into a giant wolf, but to not be able to accept him having love scenes with females if he turns out to be gay. For me, what’s most important is the job he does on screen, and gay or straight, he hasn’t let me down there.

I take your points on board. And just to be clear, I will still support Taylor, whatever. And I have no desire for his private life to be “invaded”. But if you compare him to other stars in a similar position he is overly guarded. Personally, I don’t think he is gay. Or at least not exclusively so. In which case why be so secretive?
@moviefan I accept that this is probably “my problem” – but I suspect there are others who, with the best will in the world, react the same way. Otherwise why are there no openly gay leading men in Hollywood? Maybe someone needs to “blaze a trail” – but I do think they would have to be a very good actor to do it. Taylor may prove to be a very good actor in the future, but I don’t think he is yet.
@ jamie the point is that it is not Taylor playing the wolf – the wolf is CGI. Love scenes rely on the actor all the way.

Katrina I appreciate your opinion about gay actors playing straight parts, but I’m not able to agree with you. Neil Patrick Harris plays Barney Stinson very well. I think he is very believable. Maybe it’s because the show is a comedy- so maybe it depends on the role. And yes, lots of a-listers have dealt with gay rumors- Tom Cruise, Hugh Jackman, etc. And oddly enough almost ALL of the Twilight cast has had to face this- Rob, Kristen, Peter, Kellen, Jackson…… it’s crazy. Leave. Them. Alone!

Also wanted to add that I hope that boy is straight- I have no personal agenda here- I’m too damned old to be a potential love interest. I would absolutely hate to see someone this beautiful not pass on the genes to the next generation! If he is gay, then please let him be the donor for a surrogate. I may have granddaughters one day and it would be nice to know that next generation could have little Taylor’s out there. I seem to remember a post from Nikitajuice asking for a law to be passed requiring Taylor to have at least 10 sons to better the future generations. LOL. Maybe ten is too many, I sure wouldn’t want to feed them, but I understand her thought process. Then again, if I was married to someone who looked like Taylor, I sure as hell wouldn’t say ‘no’.

there are two types of fans – online fans & the general pool of fans. Two very distinctive groups – one is concerned with the entertainment/public side, the other ranges from personally invested to some degree (psychologically) to obsessed. If you become a target of a stalker (obsession taken to the brink) what becomes a necessity of self preservation physically, mentally or both is to be extremely guarded on what info is out there about you. Where younger celebs are concerned, many of them are being advised to guard their privacy right from the getgo. Also perhaps Taylor is/has been a target of a stalker. There are two divergent methods on handling this problem, keep it quiet, don’t encourage them, don’t give anyone else any ideas; the other is prosecute which is gaining favor since the number of incidents are increasing at an alarming rate (except they are kicked lose almost immediately & in your backyard before you know it).
@katrina Nothing is wrong with wanting someone not to be gay. Wanting them to “prove” it – is the problem. If they say they are or if they say they aren’t should be accepted. What actions proves it for one person won’t be accepted by another, it is never ending, and ultimately the fact is that someones sexuality is extremely personal & no one is entitled to pressure someone into denying or confirming yet alone proving their preferences – this is simply another instance of bullying. As I understand it, from what I read here is that he has already confirmed he is “straight”. But since that appears unacceptable to you, what would you expect him to do exactly to make you confident he isn’t gay -”being a little more relaxed about his private life” is rather vague. @moviefan you already know there’s nothing he can do, nor should he be required to do that could satisfy the inquisitors.

The moment people see pictures of him with a lady friend they assume that she’s a beard or a PR relationship. And yet we haven’t seen Taylor showing any PDA during all his relationships. I guess if Taylor would like to prove something he wouldn’t be so private.

PDA – much overworked & totally meaningless (I can name dozens of celebs whose middle name is “revolvingdoor”); every other week their smooching it up with a different object of their affections or PR.
There are some who feel that if the love of their life knows how they feel, why flaunt it to voyeurs. 2′s a couple, a crowd is a flash mob for attention.
GUps2-will be filming in Marblehead MA 17-20days (sites include Old Town, Atlantic Ave, several area schools both in session & summer break). Other towns
Swampscott, Salem, Peabody). Boston & surrounding towns will compromise the remaining time. Open casting call for extras has already taken place. Taylor is part of the ensemble that will be shooting scenes with the main cast.

Thank you guys for your really helpful and insightful comments. I expected to be shot down in flames but instead I learn so much from this site. @ litebrite your comments in particular were enlightening to me and make perfect sense. Gosh I would hate to think of Taylor or any of those close to him in danger from stalkers / obsessed fans. I guess I do need to rethink what it is fair to expect from actors/stars in Taylor’s position.
I think what I mean to say is not that I want Taylor to reveal any details of a particular relationship or even to show pdas etc., just that he could show a little more enthusiasm about women / relationships generally. I think this goes back to what I said before about him not being himself or spontaneous in recent interviews. I have never even seen him flirt, and yet I’m sure that must be part of his personality. Actually I can think of one exception – the mybliss interview which he did with lily. And it is adorable.
@lilome totally agree with your comments about passing on his genes! We need lots of little Taylors to make the world a better place!

I guess that’s why paparazzi don’t follow him anymore. He’s not “interesting” enough, you know. This makes me happy because he can still live his normal life but sometimes I miss those days when we got a lot of pics with Selena and even with Swift Lol
