Yep, that’s Jacob…probably when he’s making sure mom has enough control to not devour the rugrat. Remind me, when was he ever happy?….mom dies, dad’s in a wheel chair, sisters bail out, poorer than dirt , turns into a wolf in a what the F moment, finds himself panting after a poster babe for the “how to manipulate, crush & turn a guy into a voluntary floormat in 3 easy lessons. and to ease his pain have him in another what the F moment find himself psycicly, emothionally & physically attached to a hybrid demon infant. but he does look good…

@inanout–Our poor Jacob. Love how you describe the “poster babe.” Never really thought about how bad his life was before Bella came into it and screwed it up even more. He’s still beautiful, though.
@Marianne–You can do what I’ll do. I’ll see it maybe once in the theater, b/c I won’t be able to wait, buy it on dvd, and only watch the Jacob scenes from then on. I have yet to rewatch any scenes from BD1 that he wasn’t in. Actually, I don’t watch any scenes from the other 3 that he isn’t in either.

I don’t hate SMeyer I’m just dissapointed that she let Jacob fans down..It could of been easy if Jake and Leah to fall in love naturally and give the finger to the whole imprinting and the two assholes who rip there heart out there chest! But no Leah still have to be bitter and of coarse Jacob have to be with Rosemary Baby and have to get orders from Mr and Mrs Disco Ball ..Sad isn’t it….

Randomly ended up watching BD earlier today while eating lunch (got it from my brother and sister-in-law for my birthday last weekend), and ended up chuckling more than I expected. The only parts I DIDN’T chuckle at were when Taycob came on. That’s when I just stared at his beauty and wished to God SMeyer had turned that story around SOMEHOW.
Anyhow, I stick by my words – Taylor stole the show. He had the most standout scenes… because I feel Jacob still has more emotions than Eddie and Bella combined (except I have to give credit where credit is due to Kristen… definitely her best portrayal of Bella to date). My faves were with Bella at the wedding/forest, when he disbanded from the pack (although it was his CGI wolf doing the “acting,” his voice acting for his wolf was truly heartfelt… the anger and resentment he felt I could totally hear and feel in his voice), when he felt sick from seeing Bella drink blood, during the birthing (in fact, I have to say the trio did exceptionally well altogether in this scene), and after Jacob imprinted and ran outside to defend the Cullens and hybrid demon.
I hope he carries that same amount of intensity throughout the last movie. If I’m to be fair with Rob, I particularly liked him in the scenes where he was with Carlisle and Bella in the office room (talking about what may eventually happen to her) or whatever that room was and during the birthing.
But this was definitely the time I was able to watch the movie and analyze it a little. I couldn’t bare the honeymoon. Gross. The only part I watched of that was when she found out she was pregnant. Otherwise, gag-fest.
If I’m to be critical of Taylor, this performance is definitely his best drama-wise. Comically, I enjoyed his Field of Dreams short. Otherwise, for me, Abduction just showed off his martial arts skills at best.

I forgot how to spell…it should read…psychically, emotionally. him & that black cloud over his head should have zapped on that “pretty sweet concerned dolly that asked him if he was alright when he was out shopping for someone to Imprint on at the mall or park or wherever he drove Eddie’s fancy set of wheels to (it was in the book not the movie)….at least it would have been his choice in a way & he could have dumped the whole Cullens clan & had a nice snuggle bunny to cuddle with ( & not have everyone giving him the fisheye for being some type of deviant predator – no matter how fast she speed dials from newborn to fairly close to being legal age – ) I will not be able to see these scenes no matter “how tastefully” done without saying “oh crap” repeatedly. I do hope he doesn’t have to go stumping on the prom trail & answer the blithering idiotic questions you just know would be asked over & over again….as for all this oohhing about red eyes…I can get the same result from too may gin & tonics….

I just hate that – like Kia says- she drops the Jacob storyline. You know the Volturi are coming back, you know other vamps exist, etc. If she had written one more book, similar to Hands ln Me maybe, I could stomach BD better. But she’s kind of a hypocrite. Stephanie always talks about keeping true to the vamp legend in BTS interviews, and then she has Bella get pregnant. REALLY? IF vamp bodies Arequipa frozen and can’t change, how does Eddie manage that? Technically I suppose the vamps could assemble the pieces, but nothing more. No, hallelujah chorus, etc. Trying not to be too crude for the kiddies. It’s stupid- if female vamp women don’t have working internal parts , than neither do men! I know, I know. It’s just a story. Blah….

accv…I agree with you that Taylor stole the show in BD1. His acting improved so much so it was hard when the critics went after him the most. Rob has always been okay for me in the movies, although in Twilight his acting was terrible. Kristen sometimes phones in her performance but I thought she did the best in BD too. For me the book is just so all over the place that it doesn’t transfer well to the big screen. The pacing sucked so I can’t imagine how BD2 isn’t going to be a snoozefest since nothing much happens.
Lilome…vera… I REALLY wanted the scene where Sparklepants asks Jacob to make puppies with Bella. Watching them have steamy scenes making puppies would have been a much better moe.
I am worried about the posters for BD2. Bill C. said the posters are going to be different from all the other films. I worry that the spawn and Jacob are going to be together on them.

he should’ve pitched her off the cliff when he had the chance & with any luck eddie would’ve jumped after her (and shattered into a million pieces)….ole sm kept saying they are cool & hard as marble (just like her brain, course she’s rich & I’m not). Mr & Mrs SparkleP making out should at least sound like an earthquake (crash, boom, bam, bang – just like a loonie tunes film). -sorry fans- I came on the scene late & the only thing that had any value for me was – damn that kid looks good & he could do a lot better than needy bell, glad droopy drawers got her.

How about the whole thing was a dream?Bella wakes up in Renee and Phil car in AZ ,arrive in Forks meets Billy and Jacob go’s to forks high for the first time ,doesn’t get the treatment from Marshmallow Mike and Eric doesn’t make friends with sweet Angela and annoying Jessica ,sits by herself at lunch keep looking at the door wonder who’s gonna walk in..Sadly no monkey man and his blond bitch ,no little pixie girl with her constipated Bella comes home sits in her room board as hell until she hears a knock she runs downstairs opens the door ,oh hey Jacob come on in…Few years later Bella sits on her porch in her husband arms laughing at her father and father-in-law goofing around seeing her mother chasing two little dark hair children .as she looks in Jake’s eyes and telling him thank you for making her life wonderful and kissed him on the lips ,I LOVE YOU JACOB ,I LOVE YOU TO MRS BLACK………. Later on you see her riding on the back of his motorcycle as they ride off to the sunset and as you see the sun setting you can hear a wolf howl then the music comes on and the credit rolls up…

Marianne–Totally agree that Taylor was best in BD. (Dancing scene–enough said.) I am baffled that no one besides his fans can see it or admit it. Are there not any critics who could be professional and put aside their disdain for all things Twilight and give him some credit? I was so excited when Eddie wants to talk to Jacob outside. I thought–YES!! They are actually going to do the “she can even have puppies if she wants” scene. But, of course, they skip right over it, just as they did with so many great Jacob scenes from the books. I curse you again M. Rosenberg!
Lilome and kia–I love your rewrites–very creative.
I’ve always imagined that the phone never rings in the kitchen in NM, Alice walks in and gets miffed at the steamy scene she witnesses, and all the Cullens decide to never return to Forks, while Ed wastes away in Rio. Bella gets a brain, Jacob can stop phasing, and they live happily ever after. I want Jacob to get what he wants for a change.
My other favorite scenario is that the morning after the tent scene in Eclipse, Jacob and Bella wake up and find that Eddie has gone out during the night to confront Victoria, they fight and kill each other off, and Paul has come and burned up all the pieces of both of them (b/c Seth never would). This makes the Cullens mad and they leave forever. Jacob “comforts” Bella with the mountaintop kiss, she pictures the 2 dark-haired children, realizes she’s been a complete and utter fool, decides she is really more of a fan of fire, instead of ice, and tells him “Let’s get started on those 2 kids. I know where there’s a cozy tent. . .”

Only problem with no Cullens in Forks when Bella gets there is she dies a few weeks later when she’s crushed by a van. Which considering how annoying Bella is, might have been a better ending.
To be honest I wasn’t any more blown away with Taylor’s acting in BD than anyone else. Except maybe Boo. I think he still has a lot to work on. He should look into some classes and smaller roles with good actors.

as an outlander – my version is less emotional
Eclipse (movie version) – smirky Jacob has Bella hop on the cycle so they can go where – why back to the old homestead to meet the pack & it’s new member – at the same time erratic pissed off Leah is thundering amuck through the woods in wolfie form totally berserk. Jacob tooling down the highway with the Belle clinging to his belt, spots the wayward nutso wolf streaking across the road directly in front of him too late – smacks full tilt into her – bike, Jacob, & the Belle go flying in the air ass over teakettle – Bella being human ends up a grease spot on the road, Jacob turns into full wolf mode while somersaulting through the air lands on 4 paws without a scratch, but sadly no-luck Leah gets hammered by the flipping cycle. So Sam’s problem & Leah’s broken heart are all solved, the Cullens move to washington dc to help eddie get over his loss & Jacob & the gang all totally revert to 100% human form (no vamps around no need for shape shifters) so no BD so therefore no demon seed & ole Jacob having gotten into great shape while being a wolfie can’t beat off all the girls with a stick (shame on you for what you’re thinking). And from here on the only moon to be seen is Jacob’s! THE END.

makes me believe more than ever, all this is just one big commercial promo (award shows & such) that’s paid for (who has the new pic coming out); and print media, magazines & such need all the revenue they can get – because with their pricey news stand cost & most of the advertisers going electronic (tv,twitter/facebook etc) they’re on the brink of disappearing.
Count me among those that think Taylor needs to look at cable/tv in conjuction with movies. He’s young, needs to establish his “acting” credentials & widen his base & experience (he has a strong fan base & even many of those not into the twi saga recognize him). Starring in another movie that bites the dust is a no-no (and many of them are doing that, but for some reason so many things that he’s taken a lot of heat for in the past, other celebs are getting a wink & pass on). Like that he’s in GU2-shows he wants to perform & isn’t a prima donna who feels the need to see his name at the head of the credits…(they are trying to keep a lid on when he’s filming because the have been an enormous number of requests wanting to know when he’ll be in MA.
I would say with the grinding killer promo international tour for ABD, filming BD & a lot of pressure from behind the scenes in-fighting surrounding him he was on the verge of total burnout….he is way too valuable to have let that happened to(commercially speaking) and a travesty to allowing another young talented celeb crack because they forgot he’s a person first & moneymaker second.

Lilome–I was going to say Rob usually looks like a homeless hobo living under a bridge to me, unless he’s at a premiere, but I think your description is a little nicer. This was Glamour UK, so I guess they have to root for the hometown boy. Plus, he’s had more premieres and events to be seen at this year. Even when Rob is in a suit, he just seems so awkward and uncomfortable with his body and with the attention. When he’s dressed down, he seems like he’s trying to hide under all the layers of mismatched stuff. And don’t get me started on that mess of hair on his head. I was so glad when he buzzed it off for whatever movie that was. I was never a fan of the long, never washed, never combed, something could be living in it, look. I just didn’t get it.
Taylor, on the other hand, always seems really comfortable in his own (gorgeous) skin and has a confidence that shines through. I think that’s why he looks great in whatever he wears–aside from the fact that he’s practically perfect in every way.
@visitor–Thank you for the link to those pictures. I encourage everyone to look at them. Beautiful, as always. God help me as he moves into his twenties. I really don’t know how he can get any better looking. He really needs to get a modeling contract with a suit designer, or Oxford shirt designer, or v-neck t-shirt designer, or something.
Forget Glamour magazine! He’ll always be best-dressed (or undressed) in my book!

Rob and Kristen fans are NOT happy. They want them to skip the whole show. It’s obvious MTV is snubbing Twilight fandom, so why should Summit give them the BD2 trailer in order to make Twilight fans watch a show that they’re not even allowed to vote in? Unfortunately, since Summit is now Lionsgate and Lionsgate is all about THG, they’re probably thrilled with these nominations and will make R/K/T show up to present the trailer to an audience full of THG fans.

@Lilly–I don’t care about the award either. I knew he wouldn’t win, but to not even be nominated is what makes me mad, especially after seeing some of those who did (for Best Kiss, I mean. All but Ryan Gosling/Emma Stone–yawn!). He seems to always get the shaft. It’s the principle of it. After those 3 have brought up the ratings for the show so much, it looks like they could have given them something else. It’s also one of the few opportunities we get to see him, and I thought he’d be more likely to show if nominated. I wish Lionsgate would just move on completely to THG and not make them go. Then I wouldn’t have to watch. I only have the last 2 years because of him. The rest of it is too raunchy for my taste.

HOW DO YOU NOT NOMINATE A PASSIONATE KISS-STRADDLE-BORDERLINE DRY HUMP-NECK SUCKING SCENE and take a few PECKS ON THE LIPS instead? definatly wont be watching these luckly i live in the uk so before it aired here i would find out who won to see if it was worth watching but no thanks wont even bother doing that . considering twilight uped the mtv ratings you would think they would get more credit . i love all the twilight cast but this is taking the rip the thg kiss wasnt even that good taylor should be in for that and for the fight seen in abduction its a rip off. i feel sorry for rob,kris and taylor you can te they put there energy into this but they just get the piss taken out of them . sorry for this had to have a rant .

Lilome IKR he had one of the funniest promo last year and the year before that , but I agree with Lilly they been shafting him since 2010… The fact that the twisites don’t even care that he got snubbed but crying over R/K and asking Jacob fans to unite and vote for the couple argh it makes all of us stand up and say BITCH PLEASE!! LOL

Take a deep breath – you need to take “awards shows” with a grain of salt (just like talk shows). They are for PROMOTION – films, books, albums, cable etc. It is work related for the celebs – and gives the younger actors an opportunity for wide tv audience exposure & photos snapped with the current blazing stars. There is an option to request NOT to participate (usually with valid reasons attached – don’t want to tick MTV off by snubbing them) – no one would turn their nose up at having the trio appear, or be part of the noms but it is quite obvious they are attempting to distance themselves from the twi “characters”. Since there is still BD2 to be released they do have contract commitments to promote (they are getting “paid” well for their part) but don’t expect the hoopla that surrounded previous releases. TIME TO MOVE ON. (here in the states ABD’s success was considered dismal, no need to give the tabloids another go at it….I considered it a wake up call, but it also showed Taylor’s influence of fans, it almost did him in – that running around the world is a pressure cooker).

I would have been disappointed if the Abduction kiss had been nominated. I thought it was awkward as heck and felt no heat or chemistry from it at all.
