I used to like these pictures with them together. Now, I just see Kristen and think, “Yuck!” Taylor is still delicious, though. Now that we’re used to the scruff, more chiseled jaw line, and leaner look (*swoons*), he looks so young here. It makes me feel nostalgic, but I don’t feel guilty having the same thoughts about him now that I had back then when he was 17!!!.;)

I loved this photoshoot of Kristen and Taylor. Kristen seemed more feminine when she was around him. Then she started acting all tough and flipping off the paps and swearing like a sailor in every interview and I started to find her tiring. I feel sorry that she thinks being all tough makes her edgy.

I’ve said before, I only kind of liked her when she was around Taylor. She seems like a completely different person. They seemed so close during this time–physically and emotionally. I can’t help but wonder,–would she act differently now if she had been with Taylor all this time, instead of Rob? She has said that she is “captivated” by him and he makes those around him happy. Maybe some of his sunniness would have rubbed off on her and she wouldn’t feel the need for the tough, ___ you attitude.

I’m glad people leave him alone enough so he can still do things like this with his family from time to time. I know it will never happen, but I would love for Makena to give an interview and tell stories about when they were younger, growing up together. I would really like to hear more about his life before all the Twilight craziness.

And I really don’t understand why they can’t attend to the twi convention this year since they won’t talk about their personal stuff, like they always say. Maybe all this is just speculation. We’ll see.

Twi Con was pretty much a mess last year. So I think if the trio were offered any excuse to skip it, they’d take it. I’m sure they’ll do plenty of promo, just like they always do. They’ll probably just split them up more. Maybe have Taylor and Kristen do a few countries, and Rob and the Cullens do a few others.

I was reading that “fans” were yelling rude and crude things to all of them during the Twi Con last year, and that was when the “perfect couple” were supposedly perfectly happy. I don’t know what/if they were yelling at Taylor. If true, I don’t blame any of them from skipping it. Why are people such idiots?
I was reading more comments on other sites just for entertainment. Some say Rob and Taylor are skipping it to show support for Kristen, some say Rob and Taylor wanted to do it but Summit said no b/c Kristen wasn’t and they didn’t want to split up the “trio,” some say they are all skipping b/c of the rude people last year, and some are mad b/c Taylor is skipping, not b/c they wanted to see him, but b/c they say he he has no excuse and is “conceited” and totally mistaken in thinking that he had anything to do with the success of the franchise, because that success was totally due to R&K/E&B and the “epic romance.” Some said he was “lucky” to get cast as Jacob b/c he’s too short. If they wanted the actors to match the book characters that closely, why aren’t they mad about the R & K casting?? Bella is supposed to be witty, somewhat articulate, and deserving of 2 guys’ undying devotion and Edward is supposed to be the most gorgeous guy “alive.” They didn’t quite hit the mark either, did they? Again I say, why are people such idiots???

this is so dumb. maybe he just doesn’t want to go bcuz he doesn’t want to be asked about their relationship or have to be in any awkward situation like that. i mean i really wouldn’t wanna go either because you know thats all the rob and kris fans are going to be asking about anyway. and really none of this is taylor fault. if the man doesn’t want to go then you can’t really force him to. and people are also saying that he owes it to his fans and he’s not being very considerate if he doesn’t show up but i mean come on! taylor is like the only one of the three that always says how much he appreciates his fans and he almost always says he wouldn’t be able to do it without them in every single acceptace speech! so just give him a break. mayb hes not ready to face the public just yet about their break-up. i mean i’m sad hes not going to be there cuz i was looking forward to seeing him at the convention and all, but we’ll just have to wait until the promotions start and i’m okay with that:)

Emily – Those people might think that lashing out at Taylor is going to make them feel better about the R/K mess, but it won’t. They need to realise no-one cares about Edward vs Jacob anymore, especially not with this scandal being the only thing anyone can talk about.
kia – I think some of them are harsh on Taylor because they know he is just too nice and sweet to ever tell them to F*ck off. Which is just what they need to be told.

He and the Jacob character are the ONLY reason I’ve stuck around through all these books and movies. The only reason I’m sad he’s not going is because that’s one less place we’ll get to see him, but I don’t blame him.

emily…I liked that cartoon ….so true. Why are people taking Taylor to task…….more than the other two…….when he probably had to go along with the decision for them not to attend the conventions…since they are packaged as a trio……..and if he were to go alone……..he would be hounded by dumb questions that probably would have nothing to do with the movie. I watched New Moon again….last night……..it is my favorite Twilight movie and CW was the best director out of the others. The only reason I became a fan of the movies is because of the character of Jacob. Then I became obsessed w/ Tay Tay……..but that is another story…lol. But, Taylor is a huge part of the success of these movies and the fact that he handled his business when his job was rumored to be on the line……shows how dedicated he was to the character………..and can anyone imagine a better person to play Jacob….than Tay Tay……..hell no!! He helped bring the character to life and had millions of viewers lusting after a teenager….oh no…..point is he did his job….and did it well…….and I’m sick that he keeps getting lumped into this mess created by others………..still think PR STUNT…….. anyway luv ya Tay Tay.

chanda–Here here! I agree with all you said. I, too, became somewhat (ok, completely) obsessed with our Taylor after seeing New Moon–and NOT just because of his body makeover. My lust :) blossomed into love when I started watching interviews and stuff and saw how truly adorable and sweet he is. He is and forever will be Jacob for me. I do not hear that name or read the books without picturing his face. I never got caught up with the whole height difference. I cannot see anyone else playing Jacob.

Getting sick of this R/K mess already. Especially when people try to drag Taylor into this and use it as another excuse to bash him, like he has anything to do with this.
Even though it gave him lots of attention and launched his career, and he won’t get as much press or opportunities when its over, when Twilight is finally over, it will be a RELIEF. Finally get Tay away from all these crazies, and into the land of the sane.

He’s probably not going because it’d be awkward alone, and the questions would be a nightmare, and it wouldn’t be worth his time. But I’m going to hope its a much better reason, he’s filming something new and won’t do any promotion for Breaking Puke Part ll. I would love to see him again, but promotion of these movies has gotten tedious. I can wait.
This series gave him amazing opportunites, and introduced me to him, and I will always be grateful for that. He won’t get as much attention when it’s over, and we might get less news about him, but when this finally ends it will be a RELIEF. No more crazies on the internet hysterically spewing about him, as if they know him or something.
I’ll still love my underdog Taylor :)

I saw, on Entertainment Tonight, I think, that Tom Cruise is either casting or trying to get people together to work on a sequel to Top Gun. Now, I’ve never been a Tom Cruise fan and I have no idea what the storyline would be about, but wouldn’t a certain adorable, gorgeous guy we all know and love be great cast as Tom’s son??? He really favors (but looks much better) TC from early in his career. Maybe trying to follow in his dad’s footsteps as a pilot, a little bit cocky, and always in military gear? I would certainly pay to go see that and it would fulfill Taylor’s dream about working with one of his biggest idols. Just thinking and speculating, since there’s no other news about other projects out there right now.

There was talk of Taylor and Cruise doing a movie together around the same time they did the MTV skit together……..but I guess it was just hear say. They both have killer smiles and tons of charisma and comedic timing……..maybe. I think a lot of these older actors should try to help cultivate the younger hollywood actors a little more. Things have always been competitive, but now it seems downright hateful.
And didn’t the original director of Top Gun commit suicide recently…….pressure … anyway if this did happen it would be great for both of them.

Emily…chanda.. kia..I think Taylor and Cruise would be awesome together. Something tells me that Taylor’s team isn’t into sequels since he turned down the Expendables2. I understand that since most sequels are not as good as the original. I think one of the reasons the older actors don’t like working with the younger is that the older actor looks old and will have trouble being seen as a leading man anymore. I wish they would replace Daniel Craig in the bond movies because he is looking old.

Marianne……..I’m not into any of the bond movies……..but I thought the image was suppose to be tall dark and handsome. Daniel Craig is barely one of those. Since Mr. Lautner is in Grown Ups 2…….maybe this time around he’d be interested in Expendables 3. I would luv to see him in a movie with The Rock or Vin Diesel….I would pass out from excitement.. Ok you all may hate me but I don’t want our sweet darling Taylor anywhere near Tom Cruise. First of all, he will probably try to drag him to some Scientology meetings- which is fine if that’s what Taylor’s into, but I don’t think it is. Tom has a way of pushing his religion on people- clearly his 3 ex wives got tired if it. Second, Tom is a douche. Plain and simple. When his father died in 1984, Tom was shooting Top Gun. Risky Business was already out. He wore tight jeans, the leather jacket and sunglasses from the movie to the funeral because he “didn’t want to break character”. Really? You’re playing a young, arrogant hot-shot. Not much acting there. Would be the equivalent of Taylor showing up at his dad’s funeral between shootings of Twilight and New Moon shirtless (or at best in a muscle shirt) with the tattoo showing and cutoff shorts. Uncool. Third, I don’t see Tom as the kind of person who would take someone under his wing to mentor. Tom is all about Tom. I would prefer Taylor shoot a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon or Mark Walberg. Someone who can actually act and has great compassion. Sorry if I offended anyone- just my opinion.

I just want to see Taylor on the big screen doing a movie that he will enjoy. It does seem like a lot of the hollywood-older elite- don’t want to pass the torch ya know…….they just want to hang around …..until they croak. That is all Hollywood is basically about. What is the next project…….what head honchos are you working with…the real money makers ….seem to be these studio execs……who drain the life out of their young studs and starlets……..then abandon them …….if they can’t continue to bring the dollars in. But every thing is so hurried now……..the younger crop aren’t really given time to grow. Taylor just seems so great….handsome and humble…a ball of sunshine to be around…….almost too stable minded to be with the in crowd……with all the drama and tabloid trash floating around……..that is what the industry feeds off of………..garbage. Drama= Attention. Which is sad on so many levels……..talent and hard work no longer matter……as much. Hopefully Taylor can continue to keep his cool persona and not get caught up. Wishing him the best..always.

Lilome– I’d never hate you over a comment you make, especially since I usually agree with whatever you say. I’ve never liked Tom Cruise in anything he has been in and Top Gun is the only one of his movies that I have semi-liked. Personally, I think he’s a total nut-job. I was just thinking more about Taylor getting to work with someone he has said he likes a lot and his movies usually do pretty well and are at least financially successful (so hopefully it wouldn’t bomb or be panned by critics immediately just b/c Taylor was in it). Didn’t know about Tom’s dad’s funeral. Like I said–total nut job. If they did work together, I’m sure Taylor wouldn’t let anyone pressure him into anything. He seems very self-assured.
kia–A sports-related movie would be beyond great. I love seeing Taylor be “active.” Any of the other older actors mentioned would be great mentors for him.
chanda–I always get annoyed when I click on a link to something Twilight-related and it’s just another article about R&K. I get even more annoyed when people post pictures of R or K on tumblr pages devoted to Taylor. Like you said, if I wanted to see them, I would search for them. I like that you describe Taylor as a “ball of sunshine,” because that is what he’s totally like! I had a beyond-miserable day at work yesterday–to the point of collapsing in tears at home, but after I calmed down and looked at a few of my favorite Taylor tumblrs and sites and saw his beautiful smiling face, I was grinning like an idiot.

The other day my son asked…why do I like Taylor so much……I said because he’s cute and will one day be your new dad……he just walked away….. I also think Kevin Costner would be a good mentor..not that Tay needs that , but if he wanted ……Costner has been up and down and all around. Has anyone heard anymore about Tracers? Emily and Kia- you probably weren’t even born in 84! Tom Cruise Mapother IV came from a fairly influential Louisville family, though he didnt actually live here long himself. He went to St. Xavier – a Catholic all boy high school- for a few years. When his dad died he looked up some of his old friends and they had a boys night. At the time I was working in Louisville with one of his friends’ mother. The local newscasters knocked themselves out getting interviews and video of him.
Now on to important stuff- where are you Taylor? Please give us a little peek of that perfect face!

Lilome, kia, Marianne–Please. I was definitely around in ’84. I had the My Little Pony Dream Castle, several Pound Puppies, and a Jem doll with flashing earrings. She was truly, truly, truly outrageous!! (Wasn’t that how the Jem cartoon song went?)

He always states that he is single…..so maybe he really is. One of the last updated pics of him outside of that eatery …waiting on his car……he was looking really good…tanned, slightly ripped…and blue is his color. I didn’t know that he was mentioned in the movie Ted……..still haven’t seen it………..and in the preview of Hit and Run……..the guy is teasing his girl about liking Taylor……….I know it was an inside joke , but he’s sorta immortalized….in films…lol. I am gonna use someone else line and say Miss Velvetta cheese of country music was brain dead when she messed things up w/ him. No wonder she was begging him back in BTR………a hauntingly beautiful song. Seems she’s trying to hard now to prove to everyone she’s in a new relationship……..but if I lost Taylor L. I’d probably make some bad decisions too.

chanda–If we are to believe the lyrics in the song, she didn’t “lose” him, she “dumped” him b/c she wanted her freedom. That line where she says “You gave me roses, but I left them there to die.” just kills me. Wonder how it feels to know your dumbest mistake ever cost you probably the best thing to ever happen to you?
Regarding Taylor saying he’s single–I’m sure he does it to try and protect whoever he is with from the mailcious idiots who call themselves fans who attack whoever he’s linked to. If they were true fans, they would just want him to be happy. (That doesn’t mean I can’t be jealous to the millionth degree of who he is with, but I’d never wish her ill.)

Oh , I know she ended it………but she realized her mistake……..like so many of us do……we all claim we want a good guy………..then when we get that………some of us can take that kindness for granted. I know he’s smart enough to keep his personal life …very private…but it is a shame that he would have to do that.

He’s probably not going because it’d be awkward alone, and the questions would be a nightmare, and it wouldn’t be worth his time. But I’m going to hope its a much better reason, he’s filming something new and won’t do any promotion for Breaking Puke Part ll. I would love to see him again, but promotion of these movies has gotten tedious. I can wait.
This series gave him amazing opportunites, and introduced me to him, and I will always be grateful for that. He won’t get as much attention when it’s over, and we might get less news about him, but when this finally ends it will be a RELIEF. No more crazies on the internet hysterically spewing about him, as if they know him or something.
I’ll still love my underdog Taylor :)

Sometimes, the more special things in our lives are the things we want to keep for ourselves. Unfortunately for celebrities, once you divulge the relationship to the public, you also include them as spectators. And often times, it’s hard to balance spectatorship with dictatorship. You have the fans and your team there telling you this and that. But when you keep it mostly to yourself as much as possible, at least you can say you maintained it yourself. Sure, it’s a testament and admirable for celebrities to be able to maintain a public relationship like that for long term despite what others tell you… but why subject yourself to that when you can keep it mostly to yourself and enjoy it more that way? Just my two cents. :)

Well said accv ……off the subject ,Bill Condon tells mtv that BD2 running time is an hour and 56 minutes. That’s kind of short don’t you think? Really don’t care as long they don’t cut any Jake parts and focus on the disco ball crew and the 40 covernets..

kia–I read that too and he was talking about the scene where Charlie meets Vamp Bella and the Spawn for the first time. I am so glad to hear that that scene is in there and they BETTER have Jacob coming in all happy and proud of himself after phasing in front of Charlie. That was one of the few enjoyable scenes in that whole book for me. I know it’s too much to ask that they actually filmed Jacob phasing in front of him. That would take too much focus away from the bloodsuckers (as Jacob calls them :)) for a few seconds.

Can we please have the outakes? Still dying to see the dogbowl scene and still mad as hell that we never got the Jacob/Rosalie confrontations. I guess at this point it’s too late to expect Scummit to quit kissing the Robstens’ asses. It is bad enough for the Taylor/Jacob fans to be slighted, but imagine how unappreciated and undervalued Taylor must feel. I really am done with this circus. Taylor deserves better.

Lilome…I really wanted the Jacob/Rosalie confrontations too, especially since Nikki said how sexy Taylor looked tossing the dog bowl. Greed being a motivator for Scummit, I’m hoping for an outtakes disc. To hear the Robstens, 5 films of them staring at each other and their epic “cough” kisses would have made the Twilight films the best.LOL (Kristen’s hands when she is touching Rob remind me of someone groping through a veil of scarves.) Has anyone heard who is going to the VMAs? As much as I want to see TL, I kind of hope he can’t make it.

Marianne–Hadn’t heard what Nikki said. Now I’m picturing Taylor throwing a dog bowl in all kinds of seductive ways. ;) If he tops the hotness factor he had throwing the wrench in his garage during Eclipse, I’ll be quite impressed.
I know I’ll probably be kicked in the gut with disappointment for even having the slightest glimmer of hope that Scummit will give us that scene and all the others that were cut or unused (Has anyone else watched the other takes of Taylor and Kristen in her room in New Moon? I swear, he nearly burned up the screen in a couple of them. The chemistry was palpable–so much more than R&K ever had. I have 3 different versions of that DVD, and they’re not on any of them. Just happened across them on youtube).
Haven’t heard anything about the VMAs. I want to see him desperately too, but I don’t want to have to watch the whole show just for a few seconds, although of course I will if I even think he might be there. On a side note, Michigan is playing Alabama on Saturday, in Texas, I think. (Don’t know why they aren’t playing at either school.) I know Taylor seems to be more of an NFL fan, but maybe he might be interested in watching his favorite college team??? I’ll be watching anyway for Alabama, so I’ll be scouring the sidelines and stands.
