Since Bill Condon always gushes over how perfect he thinks Kristen is, it was nice to read something positive he said about Taylor. This is from an interview he did with Huffington Post.
One of the more controversial aspects of “Breaking Dawn Part 2″ is that Jacob imprints on Renesmee and falls in love. Was it hard to convince Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob, that it wouldn’t wind up being creepy?
As with all of them, we talked about it tons, but the reason I felt pretty confident about it is, again, it comes from qualities he has. He’s a very good actor. So when he looks at Renesmee he can express love without it having any kind of creepy overtones. It was intended and written as something pure and natural. It obviously became controversial and dissed as something creepy. But with him, I think you see that there’s no creep factor at all.
I am going to see this in exactly 13 hours. I am SO excited that I’m going to see Taylor on the big screen again (even if the story is a complete bust)!!!!!

I like Taylor’s shoes too. Kristen looks a little sullen in these pics…I have a snarky comment but I will keep it to myself. Just glad for more TL pics.
Emily…Enjoy Taylor on the big screen. I’m waiting a few days so i don’t have to contend with the preteens shrieking over Edward.

Have fun Emily!! Try not to faint when a certain scene comes on.. hehe

kia–I’ll try to contain myself. I AM going to take something to fan myself with–and maybe a brown paper bag if I begin to hyperventilate!!
Marianne–My friend and I have taken off work and are going to a matinee at 10:30 AM. Hopefully, all the shrieking preteens will be in school. :)

OK ladies went to a 10PM (formerly midnite) showing. Cinema Parking & spilling next door into the back of a Target . 5 Theaters showing – I do know the mngrs – the grown up ladies outnumbered the teenies by a huge margin so I was told (they will show up tomorrow nite and Saturday) and definitely more guys then any of the other midnite/now 10PM for the other movies. Tomorrow they have spaced the movie to every 20 minutes (BDP2 has taken over). Everybody seemed happy
I salute Bill Condon – terrific job handling the imprinting – I can’t think of anyone who could have played Jacob who could pull it with sweet innocent caring like Taylor did, zero creepiness….and now that Jacob has been absolved for the previous 4 movies of panting after Bella (Jacob with one line clears that all up) he gets an awwwwww from just about the whole audience. the last 20 minutes, yeah even I held my breath a few times.

Actually, I saw it yesterday at 6pm at a local theatre. There were 7 people in the whole movie. I love Taylor. He had everyone smiling throughout the movie. And yeah, definitely an ‘aww’ moment at the end..it was a good movie. Only went for Taylor though lol. Nice to see Bella/Jacob moment. She had a genuine laugh once the whole movie..and it was with Jake :)

sometimes it’s the little things that stick in your mind…..
“Dracula 1 & 2″ (Oh…that face…. funny) @jenie I think this is fav scene too.
Condin’s handling of the ‘gorilla in the room concept…imprinting on a baby” along with Taylor’s overall Jacob persona” made it basically a non-issue – (but it still remains strange & uncomfortable if you think about it) – Jacob’s final scene short & quick thanks to Alice’s ability should soothe the Jacob followers a lot more than the book ending. (personal note: Stephanie – “Jacob deserved better” in your story.

legoland–I second your personal note to Stephenie–Jacob deserved SO MUCH better. :(
I was hoping to hear Jacob say “creeptactular.” I think that’s what he said in the book about the 2 Draculas, but I may be wrong. Loved the face he made there too.

All I have to say is I almost cried towards the end. Loved this movie the most because becoming a vampire made Bella more interesting. And the addition of other characters (the covens). But Taylor-wise, New Moon hands down. Technically though, this movie proved that Taylor is so much more than just washboard abs. The boy can make me melt even with a shirt. That’s a given, but still saying it. BTW, I thought there was supposed to be dancing among the cast at the end?

UGH the special effects…the CGI for Lochness was so distracting for me. All the money they had for these films and the wolves still look ridiculous. For me, Taylor is the only thing this movie has going for it. I was trying not to gag at the meadow dialog. The imprinting doesn’t come off as skeevy in the movie but it’s still “creeptacular” when giving it thought. Taylor’s one shirtless scene went so fast that I will be forced to buy the DVD or find a gif of it just to enjoy it. New Moon is still my fav.
accv…I imagine the dancing will be on a special DVD release to bleed more money from the fans.

Still want to see the movie, even though it seems Taylor /Jacob got the short end of the stick. Doesn’t matter, such a fan of this sexy baby boy. Can’t wait to follow the rest of his career.
