Since there is no news on the Taylor movie front, I’ll give another recommendation. I saw “Silver Linings Playbook” today. It was really good, but unconventional. Taylor and Jennifer Lawrence MUST be in a movie together someday.

chanda…It was announced in Jan. that Taylor would no longer be doing Stretch. I was glad for that although I would have liked a Stretch doll of Taylor to stretch into all kinds of positions. Haven’t read anything definitive about Incarceron but it seems to be shelved.
I like the tshirt too. Tay fans can be happy that he is not repeating one of his favs. I never mind when he repeats though.
Emily…kia…I know JL is the flavor of the month in Hollywood now but she seems like the female version of RPatz to me. I can’t really say who I would like to see him work with. Someone dark and exotic like him wouldn’t be bad.

@Emily, I was thinking the same thing….wishing that I was obssessed with him when he was everywhere……..I’d get my fix on a daily basis. I’ve been a Tay fan since New Moon, but I didn’t become hardcore until May of 2012, I don’t know what changed, but I began going on the net to search for news about him. But, I feel I’m part of the real fan base now……..cause everyone luvs you when you’re on top, but true fans stick by you no matter what . I’ve been a Prince fan, New Kids on the block, Vin Diesel…..I got hooked on politics and Pres. Obama and now Tay. I still adore them all. Donnie Wahlberg has become quite the actor and his brother Mark ..of course………anyway I still think it is good for Tay to take a break……he’s been going non-stop for so long , at a young age. Sucks for fans , but good for him.

chanda–It was mid-2011 for me, not sure exactly when. I was in lust. . .I mean LOVE :) with him from the first time I saw New Moon (sometime in 2011—I’m always late to the party ), but it wasn’t until that summer that I really started researching him online, seriously fell for him when I saw what a fantastic person he is, and found my way here. I read comments forever before I ever made one. I laugh now when I think how nervous I was. I thought people would think I was crazy—but I was very comforted to learn that you’re all just like me when it comes to Taylor. :)
You bring back great memories–New Kids on the Block–Joey was my favorite–and I’m loving Donnie on the “Bluebloods” tv show. He IS a really good actor, but I still kind of expect him to break out into a good ole version of “Hangin’ Tough” in the middle of a case–LOL!
Regarding Taylor’s break–hope it’s great for him, but it’s TORTURE for us!!!

Well my love for Taylor started with that 15 second clip New Moon trailer at the 09 MMA’s. then watching his interviews I was just in ahh with his charm and gentlemen like attitude and just wandering how can someone can be sexy&cute at the same time. Now of coarse I felt guilty because he was only 17 at the time.LOL

kia–No, I doubt it. Although I was completely convinced that I was one day going to be “Mrs. Joey McIntyre” when I was 14, I haven’t listened to or watched them since about 1990. I’m glad they’ve found success again, but I’d rather remember them as they were.

Lilly–I think it was Mystique that said she felt bad for him when she watched that video of the Staples Center. After watching it myself, I sort-of agree. He was just able to walk a few steps before being completely surrounded by a mob of people and photogs, lots of them shouting at him. We all know how much he loves his fans and he was nice enough to stop for a few pictures, but it was just so overwhelming. And to think that probably happens to him all the time, just about anywhere he might go in the world. . .it’s no wonder he likes to lay low in places away from everyone else. I know it comes with the job and the fame, but I just wanted to swat everyone away and say “Leave him alone and let him walk to his car in peace!” On the other hand, I don’t blame the people who were freaking out and wanting pics with him—how exciting that must be to see him just walking by.

Emily…I felt bad when I saw the video too. The paps treat them like a piece of meat. I can understand why Taylor minimizes those run ins especially if he is with Sara. I remember when he went to dinner with TS, one of the paps asked him to kiss her so he could pay for his kid’s college tuition with the pic.

I heard that Jacob and Isabella are very popular baby names right now….and the commentator said it was because of Twilight………well of course………who wouldn’t want a little Jacob/Tay of their own……..handsome and loyal what more would you want? NKOTB on tour again…..I’m there………I went once in 91 and again in 08………they are great in concert………….and both times the place was packed……..interesting when some said the New Kids would fade off into the sunset………jokes on the critics…..ha, ha. Donnie was my fav……..he wasn’t the cutest………I thought Jordan was, but Donnie was sexy because he was so manly and didn’t take any crap……..I luved it. So is Tracers still on point to come out in 2014? Tay, Tay……get off your break already , cutie.

Ok…thought I would “testify” with the rest of you! My daughter read the books and couldn’t wait for the movies to come out. BTW, she hated Rob being cast as Edward. She wanted Zac Efron. Anyway she and her bf were heading to the midnight showing of New Moon -and wearing her Team Edward shirt, no less. The next morning she couldn’t shut up about how New Moon was SO much better than Twilight, and how hot Jacob was. She put the Twilight movie in the video player, turning it off after Jacob left the parking lot at the prom. “The rest is just dumb” she announced. Then she handed me the books. Read them all that week and went to see New Moon the next weekend. And the rest is history. Oddly, I haven’t seen that team Edward shirt since then.

Let me see…..
I’m kinda coming onto the Twi/Taylor bandwagon a little late myself like some of you. I had actually heard years ago about the buzz of a Twilight film being made, but I didn’t know what the books were about really, I just knew it was about vampires. At the time, tons of fans of the book really wanted actor Henry Cavill to be cast as Edward since apparently he “fit the description perfectly”. Well anyway, as we know, Rob Pattinson was cast as Edward and the rest is history.
Well, flash forward to New Moon…I had always known the cast of Twilight and known about Taylor somewhat, but I guess I never really gave him much thought ( I’m JUST now seeing the Twi films for the first time lol!), UNTIL my sister and I went to go see Abduction back in 2011. Maybe I already had a small crush on Taylor back then idk lol, but for some reason after seeing that movie I started to take more notice of Taylor and began looking online, watching YouTube interviews etc. When I realized that he was such a sweet, good natured guy, I fell for him even MORE! He was just so adorable! :). How could you not like him?
Still, at first I just thought that he was a nice, cute actor…..nothing more, nothing less. I figured my little “curiosity” about him would surely go away after Abduction left theaters lol. But then one night…..I had this dream about him that was like “WHOA!”. O_O. Lol….. I was liiike…hmmm, maybe I like Taylor more than I realize lol! *blush* :-P From then on the rest was history I guess you could say! Lol!
Since then however (2 years now?) I’ve long since come to appreciate Taylor more as a person, or…I should say, at least the person he APPEARS to be in public. None of us really know-know him, so we can’t know for sure 100%….but I usually go with my gut instinct and my intuition is typically spot on, and I don’t think it’s an act. I REALLY do think that Taylor is genuinely a nice guy at the core….he just gives off the vibe that he was raised well. I really like that about him. :)
I definitely wish him nothing but the best in the future! ^_^.

@Emily—yep, you’re right….I was the one who made the comment about feeling kinda sorry for Taylor in the midst of he paparazzi. I guess I ne’er realized how much he probably gets hounded when I see recent photos of him out and about. Sometimes you tend to forget…..until you see VIDEO footage. :-/.
I haven’t seen the recent video footage for the Lakers game yet (I was referring to the video of him going to the Clippers game w/Sara), but I can only imagine that it wasnt any better. :-/ Paps really forget that celebrities are just people like us sometimes. I can only imagine that it must be tough at times for Taylor…. :-/. But…I guess it comes w/the territory! :-/.

He doesn’t have to post naked pics of himself, doesn’t have twitter and isn’t constantly in the gossip rags …and his fans luv him dearly without all of that. AMAZING! Which is Tay’s favorite word. on the matter of privacy, I heard for some time that he’s been seen quite frequently in the everyday places that you normally don’t associate with “celebs”, Ralph’s, Whole Foods, Valencia Town Ctr Mall, his sisters vb games/practices solo or with friends and that the general public give him his space. Looking at the way Twilight shot him in to orbit almost overnight had to be almost surreal; open casting calls with tons of others to rubbing elbows with the biggest celebs in town almost overnight, Golden Globes, Academy Awards, a need to be surrounded by body guards…and this went on for years….probably he needed a dose of the real world & what it’s like not to live in a fishbowl,,,constant carping on what you wear, who your with, what you should do, what you shouldn’t do, people screaming in your face (Rob Lowe said that’s what happened at the one game in Indy) and he said Taylor being able to hold it together shows a lot of self control and ability to take the heat but it gets really old after awhile (he should know he was in that position at one time). So here’s hoping Taylor’s recharged his batteries and made some solid decisions on the direction he’s going to take and we get to see him sooner than later.

Ok, everyone. . .we have to get creative here to make it through the current Taylor news drought.
Since Taylor will be turning 21 soon, I decided to make a list of the top 21 things I love and/or appreciate and/or admire about him. I thought I might have trouble coming up with that many things. However, I found it hard to actually get the list down to 21 items, once I got started.(Don’t believe me?? Give it a try yourself.) I plan on posting one item a day, until his birthday, b/c I hate when I come on here and there are NO comments all day. I’m posting 6 today, since we just have 15 days left until February 11. So, here it is,
“Top 21 Things I Love/Admire/Appreciate about Taylor Lautner”
#21–The way he used to blush during interviews, and in some movie scenes–just TOO adorable.
#20–How he seems to treat everyone he meets with respect–his fans, fellow actors, those in the media who interview him–so classy!
#19–Kind of a 3-part combo here–His determination in transforming himself for New Moon and the subsequent results, most particularly evident by the shots of him walking in the rain at his house (I guess you could call it frontal appreciation ;)) and the shot of his back in Bella’s bedroom as he’s walking away from the bed (back appreciation??).
#18–Along the same lines here–his neck and clavicle region. I’ve never been driven to distraction by another human being’s neck, other than his. Ahem. . .refocusing mind now.
#17–His portrayal of Jacob Black—I couldn’t have asked for anything more–PERFECT casting decision–props to you, Catherine Hardwicke, at least for that.
#16–His natural athleticism–It seems like anything physical he has to do just comes naturally. This actually makes me quite jealous, as I’m a total klutz .
Stay tuned tomorrow for #15. I’m sad that I’m not even going to attempt to watch the SAG Awards tonight, b/c I know there’s no hope of seeing him there. Have to watch Downton Abbey anyway.

#21- The way his ears even blush. You can see how red they are in the bts shots kissing Lily.
#20- Never swears or gives the finger to paps when they disrespect him.

NM and Eclipse on FX – kids are playing monopoly & I bribed them with choc chip cookies & pizza to dvr certain parts of each movie (gave them a cheat sheet) now I won’t have to fiddle with the remote, just sit back & watch over & over….pause when necessary

joanie–That’s really smart of you. I don’t think I’ve watched those 2 movies in their entirety since the first couple of times. I ONLY watch the scenes with Jacob in them. I’ve gotten very good with the remote, though, and know exactly when I need to pause and/or rewind and watch again for further appreciation. ;) The “Jump-To Jacob” features on the dvds can’t be trusted. . .they skip over some stuff.
I was watching both of them off and on tonight on FX (just like I don’t have them memorized and haven’t watched them a thousand times before), but I don’t like watching on TV, b/c I have to suffer through the Blech-ward and Bella-ache scenes. I unfortunately don’t have dvr, so I found lots of things to do while that crap was happening.
It is 12:45 AM and I must be in my class in exactly 6 hours and 45 minutes. Why am I still up?? The one and only thing I don’t like about being a Taylor fan—–the way he causes me to lose all sense of time and practicality once I get started.

@joanie, I saw that pic…….it does look like my husband is in the driver’s seat, it is only a glimpse of his face…….maybe wishful thinking, but it did look like him. But, if it was….why would the person snapping the pic………..take a pic of anyone else??? Just my opnion. Also I could list a hundred reasons…why I love Tay…….besides the obvious beautiful inside and out, kind hearted, a fighter……..he fought to stay Jacob….thank goodness…………..most of all like Jacob he seems Very loyal……..I ‘ve never heard him say anything bad about the women he has dated…and they only seem to have good things to say about him……..and during the cheating scandal……..he kept his mouth shut. If he was a fame whore, he could have been on every talk show and in the rag mags……spilling everything………u know he knows some stuff…….but he did not say a word………..until the dust was settled and even then he had only kind words for his co-stars. He is truly an example of a gentlmen……….that is why I adore him so.

@joanie@chanda saw it too, I would’ve said NO if I hadn’t seen the video with him driving the big black SUV at Staples…..so I’ll say maybe. It was in a big parking lot & maybe if it was him they asked to leave him out of the pic or just maybe she didn’t know who he was…I heard that it was deleted from Twitter. Did see Taylor (age 13/14) being goofy in a picture with Victoria Justice and Taylor Dooley. Seems like more & more of these older pics are starting to surface
Now that the movies are hitting tv, I think a lot more people are going to take a look and Taylor is adorable….all of them were directed to act the way they did in the movies & it does reflect the book – Edward sorta smarmy & righteous, Bella sorta of a drip, and Jacob brooding and always trying to hold onto his temper….like you said the critics are as guilty as gullible gals who can’t differentiate between fictional characters & the actors….and fan or no fan that Jacob/Bella kissy scene on the mountain was mmmmm…nice.

Wonder if Taylor will be heading to New Orleans for the Super Bowl this weekend? Don’t know if Jimmy Fallon is taking his show there like he did last year, but I’d love to see him in another football challenge on his show. But, Taylor doesn’t have anything to promote right now—although he really didn’t that time either.

#15–He is a total gentleman. He doesn’t feel the need to brag about his romantic life, stays on good terms with his exes, always praises whoever he’s with. . .and just the way he treats women, in general. Notice how he gave up his seat to the girls in some group interviews, the way he sometimes touches the small of a woman’s back or shoulder after an interview (Sherri Shepherd at the Oscar’s is one example), and how he was always so mindful and ready to help Kristen up and down stairs at awards shows and their handprint ceremony when she’s wearing those ridiculously high heels. He always offered her his arm or hand, while Rob, the supposed “perfect boyfriend,” would just stand or sit there looking awkward. His mother and father have taught him well.

Emily…Along the lines of him being a gentleman, I like that he has always treated Kristen like a lady. (I have trouble thinking of her as a lady since she swears like a sailor in her print interviews and flips off the paps instead of just ignoring them like the guys.) During the Eclipse promos, there were times when she really relied on him and yet the Robstens still dogged him and cut him out of pics. He has always been nice to ALL the fans even when they acted ugly to him. Any guy that can survive the relationship-challenged Swiftie has my admiration in the gentleman department.

Tom Daly’s backstory is very poignant. A very close family with 2 younger brothers. His father was at Tom’s side every step of the way, taking him to practice & encouraging him every way possible. His dad developed a brain tumor and fought it for years but it came back with a vengence and I believe it was 2 years ago that he died. He is extremely popular in Britain and from what I’ve seen and heard rightly so,.(and Joanie’s right, very very skimply speedo it is)

Ok, I looked up Tom Daley–#1?? No, but he should definitely make the list. Doesn’t leave much to the imagination, does he??? I remember seeing him on the Olympics, now.

How can something be adorable/amazing/hilarious/impressive at the same time??? It’s insane how much self-discipline and skill he had and it’s hilarious how intense and “angry” he seems with all the yelling and posing, and any Baby Taylor footage is always adorable.

Emily…#14…Self-discipline…I haven’t seen that many Baby Taylor karate exhibitions so I will be doing that. I really admire the self-discipline he has not to smack his Twi costars in the mouth sometimes. I find them annoying in a lot of the interviews they do so I can’t imagine what it’s like to work with them for the past few years. On a serious note, his self-discipline in how he conducts his life both at work and on his downtime is admirable considering how young he has been on these movies.
Thanks for the fan pics girls. I felt sorry for Sara and Taylor having their pic taken in the Sushi Restaurant in Valencia. Seems you should be able to eat your dinner without people taking pics of you.

What’s funny about Rob is that he’s so sweet to every other female co-star. There are pics of him holding hands with Reese, pouring water for Emma Watson during press conferences, helping Juliette Binoche down stairs. Clearly he and Kristen bring out the worst in each other. She cheats, he ignores, lol.
It’d be so great if we could get some career news for Taylor for his bday. I’m still holding out for that superhero movie that Gus Van Sant is working on.

@Emily I agree! Silver Linings was amazing! :D And I wouldn’t be opposed to that Taylor and Jennifer Lawrence in a movie, I would watch in a heart beat. I can only imagine them in a movie being anything, but amazing!
@Kia Really? Many people tell me that Django Unchained was really good, but I didn’t get to see it. Heard Jamie Foxx was amazing though.

To Posters of candids (tumblr, facebook, & especially twitter) wise to make certain they cannot be tracked back to you if you’re not prepared to be asked a million question…
from fans..ok…from cyber stalker fans….from scary cyber stalker fans…such as 1) what was he like..ok 2) did he smell good..ok 3) does he look as good in person/or better..ok 4) any pda (touch her hand, smooch her, rub her back, flatten her on top of the table….noooo didn’t see any, so now she’s a shill, he’s gay, she’s using him (they still haven’t gotten a clue that Taylor will not, does not do anything like that in public regarding his personal life!!!!! then move onto some scary stuff…did you follow him when he left…what’s his license plate #, where did he take them, did he stay, leave, disappear in a puff of smoke….then the hammer did you think she looked like a cow, a horse , a whore, a dyke and he’s only using her and I know she’s related to him (all bs)—that is why most candids disappear shortly after they appear on personal sites (fan sites don’t get these personal inquiries)….judging someone on their clothes, makeup, age, superficial traits that are visible…ok….labeling someone’s identity who you have no interaction with, with crude, libelous rhetoric is wrong even when invoking freedom of speech & opinion….unless you deal with them personally & have seen them in a variety of circumstances…watch what you say….. some people never heard “don’t judge a book by it’s cover”, “all that glitters is not gold”…..it’s synonymous with sitting in a public park and “people watching” and lableling them as they appear (from alcoholic, to child abuser, to significant other abuser, to sociopathic, to narcisstic & so on….dealing on a day to day basis with people I can verify unless you’re privy to a lot of “personal” info you don’t get what you see.. or think you see. Parents monitor your minor children & their social media…(case in point)….10 yr old girl (1 parent monitor/the other doesn”t) kid wales “you don’t trust me)…tracked back to twitter poster, other people who left messages to their sites, clicked on their pictures which weren’t all 1D or, Swift, or Bieber but
sexting in it’s rawest form (there are people who don’t want privacy—-term is exhibitionist) and often young’uns click on everything & anything to get that other photo of their beloved singer, actor etc. The world is not simple or safe if you don’t realize the danger. It’s rainy here & ran across some mudd crudds ripping both Taylor & Sara over a quiet sushi dinner (enjoy it but to eviscerate someone on their private life … sucks big time)
REMINDER – all film projects are tentative – until you get the word GREENLIT -
or you see them on site filming (don’t matter if actors have been attached, a producer or a director) – when it happens it can be something listed for years or it could be something that was totally handled behind the scenes (sometime for years). Class dismissed!!

#13–OK, this is a totally obvious (and possibly shallow) one that I wasn’t even going to mention, but, as much as he hates showing it, it’s what made me sit up, take notice, and spurred me to start researching him in the first place. . .and I DO love/admire/appreciate this about him:)

I was going to just say his 8-pack (not a typo, he DID have 8, not just 6, and I assume they are still there, even if all the bulk isn’t and who knows when we’ll get to see them again), but I have to include his chest and back too. So defined, so symmetrical, SO beautiful–not only did Twilight fans take notice, but it was a news story that swept the entire world. Has anybody else become a household name just for that?? I can’t think of anyone.

Emily…I always hate when gossip rags refer to his “6pac” when it is obviously an “8pac” which I have closely counted!! I remember when he was cast as Jacob and everyone had these skinny pics of Taylor and kept wondering how he was going to fit the New Moon version of Jacob. Scummit gained a lot more fans of Twilight because of his body!!!

I think it is funny how some try to make Tay feel bad that he has a beautiful body. As if that stops his acting ability , which isn’t true. Now after Magic Mike……..hollyweird is all over CT……why because he stripped down and showed his bod. But Tay didn’t have to do all that……..he was just shirtless and had the same impact. ………….jealousy so rampant in hollyweird…….must be hard to trust anyone. So I can understand why Tay is taking a breather. There was an article on the net, that interviewed KS, and she said she missed the way Taylor and RP made her feel . Yeah they treated her like a queen…….well I know Tay did. (It was from a couple of days ago). Tay is such a gentleman……….any girl would miss being around him. And Tay stop letting jealous idiots make you ashamed of your body……….you are beautiful………flaunt it!!

Ugh I had this perfect first post and my iPod ate it. DAMMIT! Anyway, long time lurker first time poster and I’m just here to say I’m sharing in the Taylor lovefest you guys have going on here. Seriously, this place needs a message board so I can obsess properly. Just a suggestion lol. Backstory, I was once an Edward girl (I still dig Rob but lately, meh) and it wasn’t until the last set of films that I really started paying attention to Taylors performance as Jacob Black. Once promo was over and I was getting the dt’s from lack of Twilight I started rewatching all the films. Taylor had me hooked by the time the credits rolled on New Moon. I researched him on YouTube and the obvious fan places and fell even harder. This kids the genuine article, sincere, unjaded, grateful and most of all a real gentleman. Total package and I haven’t even talked about his looks. Hint Hint at that message board again. Talking about how amazing he looks could be a while.
