So, Tay was in Hawaii for his Bday……good for him. Glad he’s enjoying his life…..wonder who was lucky enough to hang out with him there. He had a good time at the bowling alley too……he seems so down to earth and sincere. I wish only the best for him in the future…always a fan.

According to other reporting sites, this bowling alley is actually in LA, NOT HI. Kristen Stewart, Ashley Benson and Patrick Swartznegger also joined Tay for the celebration. Sliders, cupcakes and sodas were on the menu. J♥

It was in LA, the twitter site of the Lucky Strike bar ( you can see a bit of the logo on the pics) even tweeted it. He was there at the weekend (Sunday) before his birthday.

That does look like the same person. She’s definitely a member of the “Lucky Bi#@h Club.”

I don’t mean that as any kind of insult toward her–that’s just what my friend and I say about women we envy for a variety of reasons, and walking arm-in-arm with Taylor after being at his birthday party is definitely something I envy. :)

kia…I saw a tweet from a Kristen fan that if things don’t work out with Rob, Kristen could end up being first lady since Patrick is a Kennedy and he could be running for President. Bwahahaha Bonnie Fuller was on a list of the top ten people we need to hear less from in 2013. Robsten was #1.

Oops….nevermind……I just read online that Ashley supposedly spent Valentines Day solo, and is apparently not dating James anymore. :-/ Idk how true it is, but it was based on some things she tweeted.

Anyway, I know this probably sounds bad, but I kinda hope that Taylor isn’t dating or interested in Ashley…. :-/ There’s something about her that I don’t trust, and I cant quite put my finger on it. Maybe it’s due to.some of the things I’ve read about her, and have heard about her thru fans. Idk, I just feel a little uneasy. I just don’t think she’s good for Taylor. :-/ I much more prefer Sara.

Oh well! :-/ At least be seems to be going out and having fun.

Mystique….Re: Ashley …some time ago, I saw a posting that said the James Franco hookup was bogus due to that Spring Breakers movie. Notice that TL is never alone with Ashley. They’re always with their manager. Sara seems to be the only one that is with him alone in a car, out to dinner, or travel with the family etc. IMO she has the inside track. I enjoyed the tweets on VD hoping for a reunion of Taylorsquared. BWAAAHAHAHA

Oh, but I think Ashley and James DID have something going on because there’s just so much stuff about them being together on the internet. Plus, I saw this video/pictures of her and him doing some questionable things….making fun of Selena Gomez & Justin Bieber.

Ashley is still dating James. She drops little hints about it you just have to know what to look for to pick up on them. James just had an art show in Berlin and it was filled with pictures of her. She and Taylor are just friends.

Taylor says he’s single so …….I believe him, but he’s sleeping with someone……and I assume it would be his ex Sara………….which is GREAT for her. I think he’s just friends with all the other girls. Two of Tay’s exes had lunch…….SG and LC……..interesting………. SG needs to make some moves soon………she’s becoming the EX of so and so………and that’s all…..many forget she once had a career. Can’t wait to get my hands on BD2. Hope Tay had a great Valentines Day. I think it is kinda peculiar that the award shows are going out of their way NOT to include BD2 in anything….People’s Choice, now KCA……..when we all know Twi- hards are the most ardent fans, guess they are tired of Twi- stealing the show………, but that should be up to the fans…..award shows shouldn’t try to erase the memory of Twilight…….because they want to showcase HG are any other new movie series…………can’t force anything down people’s throat……they’ll throw it back up.

Chanda–ROTFL @ your “deduction” lol! Yeah, I think he’s single too. I don’t think he’s “in love” with any one girl right now. There’s a different way a guy acts when he’s “in love”. Lol…and as odd as it may seem, I actually agree with you on the other “deduction” you added. I’m going to try to say this in a G-Rated way lol…. I wouldn’t be surprised if he and Sara are FWB’s. Taylor and Kristen presented at the Oscars right in the middle of the New Moon/Eclipse craziness, when he was everywhere. I would be shocked if he was asked to do anything, since he’s basically been MIA from movies and the public eye this past year. And since Kristen can’t really speak a coherent sentence in public, I doubt she would be asked either. Also, I think the Oscars are too snobby to include many people from franchise movies/blockbusters and seem to prefer mostly Indie films or those that no one really saw (with a few exceptions).

Miley Cyrus (ugh) and Zac Efron were also presenters. Unfortunately, that show needs a complete overhaul. I agree with you about the pandering to Indie films and ones with limited audiences. They need a separate awards show for franchise/blockbuster movies. I have wondered if maybe Taylor might present at the KCs.

1) to get even a glimmer of success in the future, the twilight cast must disassociate themselves from the characters they portrayed. that means let the success fade to a fond memory and move on (the fans aren’t wanting this, the anti crowd don’t want this, but the actors do). The awards shows are promotional events, studios & actors have the right to refuse to participate, and smartly the twilight group are trying to move on & don’t want or need anymore twi “awards” The one with the most difficult task, is the series biggest cheerleader & the only role he is associated with in peoples minds – Lautner.(slight chance of him promo’ing GU2 – he and the frat boys are NOT the stars, though)
2) there are straight arrows who tell upfront that there is a line between friendship and intimate friendship….and that if someone willingly chooses to cross that line they must do so with the understanding that it does not mean an “exclusive” intimate relationship…
It takes a special person with unlimited self esteem to handle this…some can and some refuse because they know they can’t and others find out after the fact that it is a very difficult thing and eventually bail. (supposedly one thought she could handle it but found out all those interesting extra vamps were too much competition; he is known to gravitate to older and blonder but anyone who can attract his interest (with looks being not a priority at all) can potentially have a bonding experience if they can accept the terms. This mindset evolves over time and primarily with people who do have principles, are young, have a more primary goal (this can change) and often have had a bitter experience of being on the receiving end of being the betrayed….so rightly or wrongly they add a caveat to their relationships, friend/friend…friend/lover & if I wander you were already warned…I really don’t want to hurt you, but I don’t want a singular relationship (at least for now)….because no way do “I” ever want to hurt like that….again.

Anyway………..Tay is a professional he loves promoting his projects……..when he was part of Twilight …that is what he did ……and he did just as much promo for ABDUCTION…..a movie he made to break away from ….just Twilight…………,but Taylor doesn’t still need Twilight…..his fans will always have admiration for him because he did a great job of bringing Jacob Black to the big screen. If the actors want to distance themselves from the franchise, that is understandable and Tay has made it known that he is ready to move…….which he already did. As far as GUPS2……some are calling it that Taylor Lautner movie (on twitter), so I’m sure he’ll play some role in promoting the movie. And what is with the (code) u want us to crack about some girl being insecure because of a guy………..unless u r talking about Taylor…….no one cares. Don’t get it twisted. The people on here luv and support Tay……fiercely, so if u don’t …please move on.

I don’t read it as a slam, just that he will have a more difficult time in separating himself from the jacob character. & probably there were no BD2 nominations, because they requested not to be nominated cause they want to move on.

Part 2: you’re told the rules up front, so then you can decide for yourself how far you want to take the relationship. Be a forever friend, or notch it up and be in a much closer relationship but don’t expect it to be exclusive (probably pretty selective as to who gets this offer I’m guessing). OK – have to admit – especially after having seen those pics of him when he’s 15? – our boy has to know his way around the block. and he’s now 21…and the world he lives in is like a giant candy store & marriage is probably not at the top of his list yet, soooooo…I can see it. (not for me, I’m too old fashioned, just call me Edwina (femme of Edward)….oh that hurts to say that)
as for the rest of it….I’ve heard the rumors….that’s as far as I go with that.

@chanda I don’t see anything as an insult in what litebrite said. Just maybe a dose of reality. Even Taylor said his role in GU2 is a cameo and that quote is on video somewhere. I wondered where all this talk about “his” movie came from. It’s a sequal & has the same 5 guys starring who were in the first. I’ve seen posters advertising the movie & his name isn’t on it. I think maybe a lot of people have taken the size of his role out of proportion and will be disappointed.
Someone I think firereign said to be careful since there’s a lot of misinformation out. there . @joanie the rumors I heard were about some problems that contributed to his health/weight loss and some things that sorta fit with what litebrite said . I love the guy. Just want the best for him. One thing for sure is that he is a great guy and person, too many people are on the record saying that for it not to be true. Hope we get some solid news about his plans soon.

My point is the ENTIRE cast will forever be linked to Twilight, not just Taylor. People act as if, he’s sitting back saying………I want to be Jacob for the rest of my life……….that is not the case……..he moved on a long time ago. I just think he should get the same amount of respect that seems to be given to KS and RP…….he was just as vital to that money making machine……after NEW MOON….. he did not have to prove himself to anyone, yet he’s the one who seems constantly attacked for his acting skills . Did they not believe he was a werewolf or a shark boy? Of course he can act……just because his body is a temple doesn’t change his acting range. Even with the Fake People magazine situation…….I don’t remember anyone really coming out and saying how horrible that was, to do to someone so young….he had to handle that on his own………..yet, Jodie Foster and a sley of other celebs……came out and supported KS, after she broke up a marriage. Before the scandal, RP’s acting skills were in question too…now he’s heir to Robert DeNiro…..PLEASE. Too many celebs are being rewarded for acting like idiots, I don’t want Tay to think he has to go down that same path because he doesn’t . I don’t mind hearing juicy gossip on our baby boy………and I know he’s no angel………and you can tell he knows his way around the female body very well………so if he’s with a new person everyday…that is his business……..but I don’t want him to be INSULTED….on his fan site. Emily–Oh “The Hunger Games”! Duh! Idk why I keep forgetting about that movie lol. Maybe because I saw it and it wasn’t really all that imo. :-/ It was actually kind of depressing honestly. :-s Maybe I have to watch it again to really “appreciate” it.

Chanda–Awww….I don’t think Litebrite was trying to insinuate anything negative about Taylor as much as she was just basically telling it like it is….or MIGHT be. I DO agree however that MOST (if not all) of the cast is going to have to do other roles in order to dissasociate themselves from the Twi-Franchise. I mean, it’s been like 4 years of 5 different movies! That’s quite a lot. I think they can do it….and I think Taylor will too. I always look at Leo DiCaprio. It took years to shed the post-Titanic fame bubble, but he eventually did. I don’t think Taylor will be any different. OH and I don’t think Taylor has that much of a role in Grown Ups 2. I think it’s pretty small actually.

Joanie—If the cast of BD2 didn’t want to be nominated for any awards this year due to wanting to “move on” then I COMPLETELY understand lol. I totally get that, and I actually think that’s a smart move. I didn’t know you could “opt out” of even being nominated. WOW!

Joanie–Which pictures of Taylor @ 15 are you referring to? These “around the block” pics….which ones are these? Hmmm……I wonder if I’ve seen those?

Litebrite–Wow….you seem to know some inside “scoop” that we may not be privy to. Are you in the business?

Annie—OMG….what “rumors” did you hear about Taylor’s health/weight loss? Wow….I must totally be out of it on some of the news/gossip, because all of this is news to me. Please tell me what it is! Omg….I’m freaking out. I just want Taylor to be okay. I really care about that guy…. :-/

And yes, I competely agree, Taylor IS the real deal, because tons of people wouldn’t be saying the same thing over and over again if he’s not GENUINELY a nice guy. :)

Chanda—Yeah, I can tell that Taylor doesn’t really want to be seen as “that guy from Twilight w/the nice abs” anymore lol! He wants to do MORE. I think that’s why he was so adamant about not having so many “shirtless” scenes in Abduction, BD1 and BD2. He wants to move on from that and show people that he’s not just a “pretty face”….that he can actually ACT too. IMO, the only way he will be able to shake off the “teenybopper stigma” is if he does a role where he is completely DIFFERENT than anything he’s ever played before. Maybe a good, well-acted antagonistic role that makes people HATE his character would be a good avenue lol.

And I agree with you too that I don’t think Taylor needs to go down the destructive path in order to earn “respect” in Hollywood or among movie-going masses. He doesn’t have to go that route, and I hope he doesn’t. It DOES kind of bug me that Kristen seems to be getting MORE attention NOW after she cheated on Rob PUBLICALLY than when she was just a regular actress in the Twi films. :-/ Oh, and I think people just automatically ALWAYS respect British actors no matter what, so I’m not too surprised about Rob.

Rob and Kristen have more respect in the industry because they’ve both done indie films with major directors. Kristen’s been working for ages with major people- she was respected BEFORE Twilight. I know its sometimes frustrating when Taylor doesn’t seem to get the same attention, but bashing Rob and Kristen just makes everyone look really immature.

Drew…Kristen may have worked with major directors before Twilight but I think after her Rupert affair people now think she got those roles undeservedly. Rob said that he auditioned for several roles during Twi filming but was being told that the “Edward” factor was a problem. He said in a recent interview that he was happy when Cosmopolis came along. No one is immature on this site. In fact, I would say that most of the people posting on this site are pretty astute.

Before Taylor’s friend Sara was bullied off twitter I remember someone tweeting her to just ignore the bullies. She said she was and that her happiness comes from within. I think Taylor’s happiness does too. Taylor is always happy for others success( he even smiles and claps for Miss Velveeta Cheese of Country much to my dismay) and to quote Drew’s idol Kristen “of the cast, Taylor is the most centered”. He is going to do just fine in whatever he decides because he has a great family, friends like Sara and fans who wish him the best.

Yes, you can opt out of nominations for most award shows (studios, actors if studios allow, producers etc) – they are a very important asset in promoting films, songs, books and actors (one reason you see so many young tv & film actors walking the red carpet and/or sitting in the audience and presenting-they have something to “sell”; they are there to be seen as the cameras pan the audience; it’s also why in recent years so many veteran actors are doing the same (KCA ‘s 50 yr old actors & are even “nominated”) – competition for an audience with other media has grown enormous and throw in the economy issue, no movie is guaranteed a success anymore by its cast.

litebrite stated the fact that Taylor has basically 1 asset to focus on – the twilight saga – any new venture will be measured against it – the fresher in someone’s mind the more they will use it as a basis to review any new production.
The more it fades in memory, usually the less vitriolic the critics will be towards his newer projects. Twilght was a very polarizing series – it had/has an enormous fan base, and it also has an enormous base of people who hated it and anything connected with it, but now the only thing that will count is how successful his new ventures will be, that’s life and you need to accept it. It will take time to re-establish himself and be seen outside the aura/specter of twilight and he needs to make good choices and re-charge his engines for it’s going to be an uphill battle. In the “fishbowl” of celebrity it’s your effort, your abilities, the people in authority who favor you, your fanbase and most of all your ability to MAKE your projects profitable; you need both strength of mind and body to do it and a realistic attitude on what you need to do to make this happen. Twi was a phenomenon, a lightning bolt from nowhere; best I can do is compare it to Star Wars and its cast and their life after it was completed, check it out, see what can happen. No, litebrite wasn’t insulting Taylor. This is a Taylor fansite and his comment had to do with Taylor, no doubt he would have things to say about the other 2 but this isn’t the place to discuss them.

British actors almost always are trained in a classical theatrical setting, this allows them to have more flexibility and adaptability to a variety of roles. An example is their ability to adapt to accents quickly because they already have been trained to do so…the fastest growing pool of actors is actually the Australians. One of Taylors strongest assets is his ethnic features, people from several continents can relate to him simply because of this (both male & female). In the world of entertainment there is just about NO bad publicity regarding actors, it proves their human, think Charlie Sheen, Chris Brown etc. Now if they were a product (though they’re marketed like one) say like ground beef and they find horse meat DNA, that bad publicity they might not recover from.

Mystique–Re: the Hunger Games–I thought it was well done (book and movie) but I didn’t enjoy either one–too depressing for my taste. I like some positive escapism in my favorite stories, say like beautiful boys turning into giant wolves, etc. :)

You’re not the only one feeling out of the loop—TSwift cheating on Taylor, issues with his health/weight, etc–all news to me too, but I refuse to focus on them.

chanda–The fake People cover really annoyed me, but what upset me the most is that, as you said, I never really heard anyone taking up for Taylor and blasting whoever did that to a “kid.” It just wasn’t right and it wouldn’t be right to do that to anyone, especially at that young age. I also don’t understand how some can defend someone who knowingly cheated with a married man–it’s just wrong, not matter how you look at it, and I don’t think it should just be chalked up to being a “young mistake” or “lapse in judgement.” IMO, the man is just as guilty, so don’t think I’m just blaming her.

Regarding Kristen and her rise in popularity after the whole scandal, just stop and think about most of the biggest names in Hollywood—it seems to be a place where the moral compass that lots of others live by is skewed in a different direction. People will forgive just about anything if someone is famous enough.

Taylor is known almost exclusively b/c of Twilight, so, he is bashed for that the most. There weren’t many other roles to base criticism on, and the whole saga is such a polarizing topic–those who love it have their reasons, and those who hate it just try and find reasons, in addition to jealousy at its success and misunderstanding of the story. If all those critics and those who “hate” it had taken time to actually read some of the books (and let’s face it, SM’s writing and reasoning isn’t Pulitzer-worthy), they would have seen that Taylor totally nailed the character of Jacob Black. He CAN act. Is he Oscar-worthy yet??? I don’t think anyone on here thinks so . . .that’s why we hang around and keep the faith. We know he will grow and improve with time and more experience and that’s why we obsess over every role, no matter how small–we want to witness that growth and improvement.

His private life is just that–private. Who he spends time with and what he does with whomever during that time is none of my business, so I’m not going to worry about it. Every indication points to the fact that he has good sense and handles himself accordingly. I am going to continue to trust him to do just that.

@Emily the world has lost it’s moral compass. The only element preventing it from total irrelevance are the individuals who through thick and thin have managed to maintain theirs. The world has become a meaner, a more bitter and a more self-centered planet. Misinterpreting is one thing, ignoring and condemning fact will not help achieve anyone’s goal, whereas listening to it can lead one to the right path to take. Is refreshing to know there are still people who can focus on something other than “looks”

@Marianne, @ Emily, thanks for understanding the…point I was trying to make. @ Drew……I don’t dislike KS or RP..just not a fan…..they seem to have a real chemistry with Taylor….which was great for the franchise……and apparently Tay and KS are close in real life….if u believe recent articles. Taylor seems like such a grounded and sweet natured guy……….it bothers me, when he seems to get attacked for no apparent reason. He is only 21…….I sometimes forget………how young he is……….he has plenty of time for growth in all areas of his life, but he’s accomplished so much at a young age…..covers of Rolling Stone, GQ…….hosting SNL……….that’s major…bucket list stuff. He really wanted to be Jacob and he kept ragging on Taylor as not being big enough, tall enough blah, blah, blah. I hope Taylor NEVER does a movie with Michael Copon! What a d-bag! If iI remember correctly, he actually announced that he was the new Jacob Black. He went on and on about how much taller and muscular he was than Taylor. And Taylor, ever the class act, just kept working his cute little a** off. There’s a video clip out there of Taylor being interviewed by someone who asks him about it. Taylor just smiles and says “confirmed!”. The interviewer then asks about his biceps and “6′er”. Taylor flexes then raises his shirt, talking all the while about how much work it was and how he promised to pack on 30 (?) pounds of muscle. Then he gets embarrassed when the interviewer tells him he will make a lot of girls happy. Taylor says something like ” ok. We’ll see”. Well babycakes, truer words were never spoken!

The only thing I’ve ever seen Michael C. on was a sequel of a sequel of those “Bring It On” cheerleader movies–I wasn’t very impressed, and after all the smack he talked about Taylor and how pompous he was–just yuck. Accv–True… Plus I remember that fans pretty much weighed in that they wanted the franchise to KEEP Taylor instead of having him replaced lol. They realized that he probably didn’t have the height or bulk (at the time) to be the BOOK version of “Jacob”, but they didn’t care!

Plus, Taylor and Kristen have such amazing chemistry together (in fact, I always sensed more chemistry between Bella & Jacob as oppsed to Bella & Edward) that I can’t imagine Kristen having that same chemistry with Michael Copon, or any other actor.

BTW!! Does anyone know if this picture is a manip??? I just saw this picture of Taylor online, and I can’t tell if it’s really a photoshoot he did or not! This pic is definitely new to me!!!

I really don’t see that Kristen’s grown more popular after the affair. A lot of the public doesn’t like her now, she hasn’t filmed anything in over a year, and even though she’s had projects announced, none of them have gone forward. I think she’s in a LOT of trouble with so many other young actresses coming up who are more acclaimed and have less baggage…Jennifer Lawrence, Shailene Woodley, Emma Stone, Saiorse Ronan.

Same with Rob. I think he lost a lot of respect from people for staying with her. It’s kind of embarrassing. And he’s at the bottom of the heap for actors his age.

Taylor has a couple of advantages over them. First, he’s younger. He’s not competing with the Channing Tatums or Joseph Gordon Levitts. He’s competing against guys like Josh Hutcherson or Logan Lerman. And in that age range, he has more leading man potential than the rest. And he has years to build up to where other guys in their mid-20′s are now.

His second advantage is that he’s private. He doesn’t have this embarrassing baggage that Rob and Kristen do. They’re going to forever be known as “Robsten”. They were even a punchline on Parks and Recs last week, compared to Justin Bieber. That’s not good for 2 actors who claim they want to be taken seriously. But as Twilight fades, Taylor will have a clean slate. He doesn’t have the same level of gossip interest or online hate that Rob/Kristen do (and I mean from the general public, not Twi-hards).

What was even more pathetic about Michael C. was that he admitted he hadn’t read the Twi books only some cliff notes!!!! He was just so cocky. I remember a lot of fans could only picture Strait as Jacob but I think after seeing how Taylor transformed his body for New Moon they finally came around. The majority of Twifans felt Sparklepants was really the most important guy anyway but after New Moon, even SM knew Jacob was going to be a scene stealer.

Okay, here’s a QUESTION for the group…..

I’ve always wondered….. What IS it about Taylor?

As we know….Taylor has fans (girls AND guys lol) of all ages. He seems to transcend the age barrier. :)

So, what is it about HIM specifically that makes even “older girls” turn their heads? It can’t ONLY be about his looks or body (there are TONS of YOUNG actors out here who are gorgeous and fit….Zac Efron immediately comes to mind), so what IS IT??

Not that I mind in the least…I’m just intrigued!

What do you think Taylor has that other young actors don’t have that causes even older women to have a crush on him? :-D

I am 28 and usually don’t find anyone even 3 months younger than me attractive no matter how they look…but…
I can’t lie. I was at the movies back in 09 I think. There was nothing appealing for me to watch so I decided to see Twilight New Moon–which was nowhere on my radar. I hadn’t even read the books or seen the first movie at that time.
Anyway, so I am in the theatre and there goes that first Jacob scene when he meets Bella in front the school with that big smile and long hair. And that is when I was like ‘Umm…who the hell is this man?’
After the movie, I immediately went online to find out who this guy was. And then my heart sunk a little when I realized how old he was in 09. I felt like I should be in jail or something. Over the next few months, I’d seen interviews with him and thought he spoke well and was really polite for his age. So to answer your question—He is a respectful young man and he has that thing he does when he looks at a woman in her eyes when he speaks to her…it’s cute you know? I have a feeling he can be rough when he wants to though too…too bad I’ll never know.

Arrgh I haven’t been able to get on here for so long, the comments just wouldn’t let me on for some reason, I have missed so much:( Okay first of all happy birthday Taylor, the big 21, now you’re even more legal than ever, I can finally start feeling less guilty lol. So happy to see so many pics lately, Taylor has de-ninjad himself, I’m hoping since Twilight is over maybe he’s feeling more free and open and more willing to be seen in public, I hope sure, because the drought is like torture to his fans:( Taylor won’t you think of the poor helpless people (like me) who just want to see you everyday. Mystique to answer your question, well for me it was the looks that initially got my attention, those brown eyes and tanned skin and symmetrical features and I was like ‘wow dream guy alert’. I’ve always liked guys who are slightly darker in looks, of any race, and Taylor just seemed to be every race mixed into one lol. Then I realised just how talented he is, and how many different talents he has, and I was like ‘wow is this guy perfect or something?’ I remember reading a review of New Moon that said Jacob is irresistible because he has muscles and dimples, and I was like yeah that sounds about right. Jacob was pretty much every girls dream guy, and I was no exception, love came pretty naturally after I saw New Moon. Then of course he was obviously just a genuinely good person, who would make a good friend and good father *swoon* as well as great husband, so I was just like yep that’s settled we’re going to get married then Lol. I love how Taylor just has so many devoted fans, but it’s a little bit depressing that it means my chances are basically slim to none with all that competition. Guess I’ll have to get work finding that Taylor look-a-like.

Totally random thought just came over me, but has anyone seen the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon? I saw it a little while ago and I thought it was amazing, all the martial arts stuff looked so cool. And while I was watching I couldn’t help but wonder what Taylor would look like there, yeah my thoughts pretty much wander to Taylor at all times. Because Taylors so good at martial arts, I think he could have done great in that movie. I’d love to see him in an old-fashioned martial arts movie one day, I’m not sure if he’s quite up to the level of the fighters in CTHD yet but I think he could get there eventually lol

Lol…I can’t even remember the first time I saw Taylor. I didn’t even see the “Twilight” Films until they were long since out of the theater. I’m JUST now seeing Ecclipse, and I saw New Moon late last year! O_O I think the first time I saw Taylor and developed a slight crush on him was when I rented “Valentines Day”. I knew about his martial arts skills (don’t ask me how I knew!) so I thought it was really cool how he does a flip in the movie (the scene w/Taylor Swift). But honestly, it wasn’t until I saw “Abduction” that my crush grew STRONGER! I’ve been hooked ever since. I also really got hooked when I saw previews for BD1. I never saw the movie (BD creeps me out! ), but I remember him and the cast going through the interview circuit.

I think what draws even OLDER women to him (besides his gorgeous smile, tan skin, dark features, 6-pack abs) is the fact that he’s very well spoken, polite, GENUINELY friendly, and has a wicked smile lol. His smile is so SEXY to me! lol… I think it’s his best feature actually…..and I think he knows it…..which is why he flashes it every chance he gets lol. ^_^ Oh, and I tend to prefer darker hued guys as well lol. He tans really nicely lol.

Plus, he just seems like a chill, laid back kind of guy who has a joi de vivre. It’s so nice seeing someone who seems to really ENJOY life, and find little things here and there to be happy about. That’s very rare with some people these days, so it’s good to find someone who is like that. :)

Also, like you mentioned @Jenle, Taylor has some awesome eye-contact…..with everyone! Men, women, children. I also think that older women like him because he’s so poised and comes off as confident. There’s a quiet confidence about him…..and he’s sexy without even TRYING! I think his poise, class and confidence might stem from the years of martial arts training that he has done. I think those classes are all about inner strength, poise, eye-contact, etc.

Wow @Olivia, I haven’t seen Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in YEARS! I think the last time I saw it was when I saw it in the theaters lol! What a movie! I’ll have to revisit that movie, but yes I think Taylor would do well in a film like that. Or, at least a film showcasing some of his natural athletic abilities. Something tells me though that he doesn’t really want to become the next Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Dame, or Jackie Chan. :-/ I think Taylor is open to doing roles like those of course, but I think he also wants to branch out and do MANY different types of things. I think sometimes those actors get type-cast into those roles. While that’s fine if that’s all they want to do, I think Taylor probably wants to do other things as well. I don’t get the impression that he wants to be type-cast.

I would LOVE to see him do a film that really showcases his martial arts skills though. “Abduction” was a start, but I think he needs more of an ensemble cast. Sort of like an “Avengers”/”X-Men” film….one with a bunch of people in the cast. YKWIM?

Anyway, I hope if he does Tracers it will showcase more of his talent. :)

Yeah, I wasn’t really thinking Taylor was gonna be like any of those guys. I see him doing something not so flashy, not about being the big action star, maybe something a little more low-key and character driven. That was what I liked about CTHD it had amazing martial arts sequences but was also very drama driven. I could see him playing that girls character, I forget what her name was, the one who was secretly really really good at martial arts. I imagine Taylor playing someone like that.

That’s okay! Anyone can chime on in! This is THE place to ramble on and on abotu Taylor lol. ^_^ I have just always wondered what “it” is that he has that makes even “older girls” like him lol! I don’t seem to see a lot of “older girls” going crazy over other “younger actors” like that…..Or, feeling “guilty” for liking a younger male actor like they like Taylor. So it has always bewildered me.

Ohhhh I see….Yeah I agree, a character-driven drama that can also incorporate some martial arts in the story would be an awesome choice for Taylor. :) Definitely!

I hope “Tracers” is like this… We shall see!

Well, Mystique–you know I have to weigh in on this. (By the way, don’t worry about the length of your comments. It makes me feel better about my tremendously long ones. Essays and papers with a max word limit were TORTURE for me in school–I was always too wordy!)

As one of the “older girls” on here (Alas, I AM technically old enough to be his mother, but I would have been a VERY YOUNG teen mom :)), I can honestly say that I have NEVER even thought of giving a second look to anyone younger than me, until Taylor, that is. I have never trolled the internet for any tidbit of information about anyone else. I have never had the desire to visit websites and comment endlessly on the virtues of anyone else. All of the actors that I really enjoy/like are older than I am. . .Colin Firth, Gerard Butler, Michael Weatherly, just to name a few, and my first and biggest celebrity love has always been Elvis Presley (got into him as a preteen living half-way between Memphis and his birthplace, so he was everywhere and I got hooked), and he would be 78 if he were still alive!!!!!!

The guilt you speak of is true, though technically he was 19 when I discovered him, so that cheered me a little.

Jenle– I remember that I was shocked and completely crestfallen when I looked him up and saw how young he really was. BTW, when I made my mom watch the Behind the Scenes interview with him on the New Moon dvd, my mom said, “He’s adorable, how old is he, 24, 25??? I turned several shades of red when I told her he was 17 at the time. She properly shamed me for a while, but I told her to reserve judgement until she had watched him in the movie. Afterwards, she did relent and said she could see the appeal, and she’s over 60. She does still periodically remind me of the age difference, but I don’t care!!

Getting back to your question, Mystique, I don’t think I would have gone so completely gaga over him if the character of Jacob Black had not already firmly entrenched himself in my heart before I saw the movies. I really had no hope of fighting it when I saw how perfect he was as Jacob. Aside from that, I agree with those who have mentioned his poise, manners, confidence, smile, maturity, how he looks people in the eye, etc.

But, one word keeps coming into my head when I think of him. . .”grace.” I looked it up in the dictionary, and it says “beauty or harmony of motion, form, or manner, any attractive quality, good will, the state of being pleasing to God…”

Taylor definitely has beauty in motion, b/c he’s so graceful and athletic. He has beauty in form, b/c well, LOOK at him. He has beauty in his manner, b/c he gets along with people so well and is so respectful to everyone. He has many attractive qualities and spreads good will wherever he goes. I can’t speak for God, but he’s definitely pleasing to me.

So, to answer your question, for me personally, it is Taylor’s grace that draws me to him. The way he carries and presents himself to the world, his quiet confidence, the way he treats people, and the way he is comfortable with who he is and doesn’t try to change for other people is what makes me like him. I can think of lots of great looking younger actors/entertainers out there, but have no interest at all in any of them.

Dang-it!! Can anyone believe I actually forgot to mention something in my last Magna Carta? I also meant to say that he seems like he would be a great person to talk to and just hang around with–he seems like he would be a great listener and a great friend. That is really appealing to me, too.

AAAAANNNNDDDD (this is it, I swear) women who are “older” have often also learned through life experience to appreciate qualities like that (friendship, easy to be around, niceness, etc,) more than what a person looks like or strong attraction that can wane over time. Luckily for us, Taylor seems to have both. :)

You’re right, I’ve never been THIS enthralled by a “younger” actor before myself. Like you, most of my fave actors (Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, etc.) are all older than me lol. But Taylor has a Je ne sais quoi quality about him that makes you drawn to him!

I think you hit the nail on the HEAD when you talked about Taylor’s grace and class. The only other actor that I know that carries himself with that grace and class (well…..at least while on the red carpet lol) is Leo. He’s the only other actor that I’ve seen exude this type of “classiness” even when he was at a younger age…and maybe it’s BECAUSE he’s so private…and Taylor is too. Sure, you see them photographed a lot and going out with many different ladies, but I think the absence of being in the news/media for negative reasons has kept them acting classy. Plus, I never hear Taylor curse…..at least not off-screen, and I get the impression that even on his down time he’s probably not cursing like a sailor lol. Usually, those who cuss a lot can’t help but letting one fly every once in a while by accident in an interview (televised or written) lol. So I think that quality also helps him give off the impression of being classy. :)

ROTFL @ your mom thinking he was 24 or 25 years old lol! I was a little shocked myself when I found out how old he really was. I think this is where most “older girls” have the “problem” lol. Because Taylor LOOKS and carries himself like he’s a little older, a lot of women feel surprised (READ: guilty) when they find out that he’s actually a lot younger than they expected haha.

But I like the fact that he doesn’t change for anyone, and your last post was SO true about how when you get a little OLDER you start to realize what qualities really matter the MOST in a relationship. Suddenly, those “bad boys” that used to intrigue you so much (at least for me lol) don’t seem so appealing anymore after you’ve experienced heartache by one of them. :-/ Suddenly, the “good guy” and the “nice guy” starts looking pretty good to you! LOL! :D

So yeah, I’m glad Taylor seems to be such a sweet guy, and so comfortable with himself and easy-going to be around. Those qualities DEFINITELY become SO much more appreciated when you’re older. I just keep thinking back to how Taylor Swift dumped him because she claimed there was no “chemistry”……PAAAH!!! Step aside young silly girl, because an OLDER girl would know what to do w/Taylor lol…. Oh well…too bad for her! I think she’s now slowly starting to learn that all of those “exciting”/ “bad boy” types of guys she likes to date aren’t all that they’re cracked up to be lol.

I’m just glad that Taylor is staying TRUE to himself and who he is. He doesn’t have to change or be the “bad boy” in order to get love or attention in hollywood. Puh-leeze….

I just think to myself….if he’s THIS irresistible at 21, gosh what am I going to do when he turns 25?? O_O OMG! Lol! So help us all rotfl!

nonstens – those who don’t believe there’s anything between KS & RP, or, those who don’t like/approve of anything between KS & RP. Taylor respects everyone and anyone around him — whether or not they deserve it. He’s such a gentleman to EVERYONE. Maybe that’s why he’s so irresistible to me. He reminds me of my first celebrity love, a Filipino actor, who passed away in his sleep at the age of 27 :’(. He respected everyone no matter who they were… a total gentleman. And he lived such a private life. Or tried to, at least.

I find that type of attitude extremely attractive, especially for his age.

Tay was at an Oscar party…….OMG!! Everytime I go to Walmart I see the display for BD2……I point to Tay and say there’s my husband, my son just shakes his head and walks away. I can’t remember who said what……..but whoever said KS isn’t as popular as it seems….might be right……..I also saw that RP’s new movie had a price cut at one of the stores and it was still full….so ………..I think some want us to think they are more popular than they really are. As for Tay ……….he has so many advantages and he is in a different playing field………and out of a lot of the younger actors………..he is a lot more attractive. I’m not a fan of Michael Copon……….I just think that he and Tay do look similar……..and I could see them as brothers. MC is about ten years older than Tay…….so there is no longer any professional competition. I’ve seen the youtube clips of MC…when he thought he had the JB role………it is all so funny now. Then he had to eat crow and basically congratulate Taylor on keeping the role. KARMA. Still waiting on my Tay 2013 calendar……..oh yeah!!
