  2. chanda w Says:

So happy for Taylor , he won and award for ACTING, the one he wanted. He’s already won for hottie and smile. We all know he’s beautiful, but I think being acknowledged for his acting is what he craves.

  3. accv Says:

OK, not gonna lie… I still think he deserved hottie and smile, too. But whatever… like you said @chanda… the acting ones are worth more. WOOHOO Taylor! And I’m not surprised he didn’t attend. Ohhhhh WELLLLLL. ;p

  4. kia Says:

He also won for best hissy fit (GU2)

  5. *Vickey* Says:

Congrats Tay! :D Saw this earlier, but didn’t have time to post!

@Kia— That hissy fit deserved an award. Lol.
Anna Camp’s hissy fit in Pitch Perfect was pretty funny too. :)

@accv- I do too! Lol. He has an AMAZING smile, but I do agree with @chanda w, I’m glad he won an award based on his talent though, which is probably what he wanted. :)

Wanna go – LAX to Manila by direct flight (no stopovers) would be 10+ hours. Coming back would be a bit quicker because of the jet stream. With 1 stopover it could take 13-16 hours depending how long the stopover is. The time in Manila now is the same as USA EST.

  8. accv Says:

yes. flights to the Philippines are expensive, though. and you will get MAJOR jetlag. and if you DO wanna go… like REALLLYYYY considering it, pack for summer days. if you’ve ever been to florida, the weather is practically like that but with MUCH more humidity. you get out of the shower and you’re already hot and sweaty again. but just for anyone who was considering going. also, they’re always a day ahead. then again, i’m sure ya’ll knew this. ;p

  9. Jess Says:

Now I’m confused by the whole time zone thing, because the time zone converter I’ve been looking at here http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ says that Manila is 12 hours ahead of USA EST.
If the above link is right, then that makes me (in Australia) two hours ahead of Manila time.
Also, I have read – unconfirmed – that Taylor will be arriving in Manila on the 16th, (I assume the 16th in Manila), so that could mean on the 15th for those of you in the US.

@accv thanks for the info on the Philippines. Hope Taylor copes OK with the Jetlag and the humidity. Guess he’s probably used to all that traveling by now.

  10. joanie Says:

@jess & @accv yep your right, didn’t take in the 12 hour time difference (so right now NYC time is 10:56PM August 14 and in Manila time is 10:56AM August 15) . Glad for the tip – on what to expect from the weather – all I was told was it was wet & summer

  11. accv Says:

@jess no prob :) i’ve visited at most 5 times already… the last one being the worst reason ever. but yah… he’s been there, probably. unless i’m mistaken by the interviews i’ve seen of him with one of the philippine’s arguably most respected journalists. :p i say that because he’s not exactly on my good list in terms of how he’s covered stuff on my faves over there.

@joanie… even when it’s raining, it’s still hot. it’s rare that the weather gets cold over there. tropics, go figure. to my knowledge, there’s only one particular city there that gets cold, but because it’s closer to the mountains/hills. actually, not sure now if that’s why :p but i mean, there are times when nights can get cooler but from my experience, very rarely. always had the fan on in my late uncle’s house.

the weather kinda… doesn’t help the jetlag either. it’s so hot and humid, you get worn out quite easily and get pretty drowsy during the day. you really have to be up and about. then again, you gotta get used to it (live there :p) in order to fight the lethargy :p
