 It’s the most wonderful time of the year! No, not the holidays—we’re talking about awards season. Come January, it’s time to sit back, tune in and scope out our favorite Hollywood hotties in their natural habitat. And this year, it looks like we’ll get an eyeful of some serious talent at the season-starting People’s Choice Awards on January 5, which just announced a swanky guest list that includes all the usual crush-worthy suspects. Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart are among the first to confirm that they’ll be attending, making the pair a recurring feature on the red carpet (remember their adorable joint presentation of a “scary movie”-themed feature at last year’s Academy Awards?), and they’ll be in good company with a host of other celebs including Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Emma Roberts, Leighton Meester, and Mila Kunis. Also on the list: Natalie Portman and Katy Perry, who we’re sincerely hoping to see accompanied by—respectively—a brand-new baby bump and a tuxedo-clad Russell Brand. Sounds like a party! But don’t be expecting it to get rowdy; Queen Latifah is hosting the ceremony, and you know she won’t put up with any shenanigans. Will you be tuning in to the People’s Choice Awards?  Yes, yes, we all agree that Oprah was ah-may-zing, but if we had to pick our favourite overseas visitors for 2010 we can’t go past Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. The pair went on a month-long promotional tour for Eclipse and stopped in Sydney in June. The duo held a special Eclipse event at Luna Park and answered questions from fans. And while Rob may have the better abs, it’s Kristen Stewart that Kellan is looking forward battling on set. “I’m really excited to shoot the arm wrestling scene between Bella and Emmett because I know it’s one of those scenes that the fans are really looking forward to,” he explained. “Even when I do conventions or hang out with the fans, they’re excited and they’re like, ‘Is that going to be in the screenplay, in the movie?’ And it is… and I can’t wait to shoot it.” While he’s mostly excited to start filming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, there is one thing that he’s dreading. “Definitely trying to get those contacts in my eyes,” Kellan said. “Those things… I have two technicians that kind of hold me down and dim the lights. Apparently, when Hollywood werewolves go out courting women, they drive BMWs. We are referring to Twilight star Taylor Lautner, who was spotted taking Phil Collins’ daughter to lunch in his black BMW 540i. The car looks menacing and purposeful but also discrete. For protection, the star has brought a couple of bodyguards in the back. The four door saloon comes with five seats and weighs in at just over 1,700 kg (3748 lbs). Its 4000 cc engine provides 306HP at 6300 rpm and 390 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. The 0 to 62 mph (100km/h) sprint is dealt with in just 6.2 seconds and the car is capable of a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). In 2008, Taylor auditioned for the iconic role of werewolf Jacob Black in the blockbuster hit Twilight. With the unexpected and sudden success of the film, Taylor, along with fellow cast members Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, found himself being propelled into the spotlight and a world that would change his career and life. Taylor has continued to portray Jacob Black in the following films of the The Twilight Saga, as well as branch out into other roles and films. The girl he was taking out in the BMW is Lily Collins, Phil Collins’ daughter with British actress Jill Tavelman. The 21-year old is an actress, model, writer and Nickelodeon television host. As a teenager she wrote a column for British magazines Elle Girl, Seventeen, Teen Vogue, and then for the Los Angeles Times. We wonder what her father thinks about the black BMW with tinted windows.  The story of The Twilight Saga will be coming to you soon in comic form. Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are the faces of Fame: The Cast of Twilight. The newest graphic novel from Bluewater Productions will hit stores at the end of November and feature the previous sold out biographies of Taylor, Kristen, Rob and Stephenie Meyer.
Other issues have sold out quick in the past so you’ll want to pre-order while you still can! “The majority of our biography comic books have sold out, despite many shops still under-ordering. Readers have contacted us still trying to find our books,” publisher Darren G. Davis said. “It just goes to show that you don’t have to be mainstream to reach the market. If you’ve been dying to hear the sordid truth about Taylor Swift’s hopes, dreams, heartbreaks and excruciatingly awful ex-boyfriends, you won’t find it in any gossip magazine—instead, you should set your sights on a copy of her upcoming album. Taylor, who looks sultry and elegant on the cover of November’s Glamour told the magazine that while she’s circumspect about her personal biz in interviews, the gloves come off when it’s time to write songs. “Everything that happens to me gets put into a song,” she says. “For some reason, I’m really comfortable talking about my personal life in songs. There, I don’t hold back: names, dates, times, expressions on people’s faces, exactly where we were and how it felt, what I wish I would have said to them in the moment.” She adds, “My next album is something I’m really proud of. I can only write about what I’ve been through. And a lot has happened in the past two years.” Too true: The content of her upcoming album, Speak Now, should ring some bells for anyone who’s followed the country star’s exploits over the past couple years—from gaining widespread fame, to a record-setting spot for Fearless on the Billboard chart, to that whole Kanye thing (which gets its nod in “Innocent,” the song she debuted at this year’s VMAs.) But even though she’s older and wiser in 2010, Taylor is still a romantic at heart. When asked about her outlook on love, she confesses: “I’ve learned that you can’t predict it or plan for it. For someone like me who is obsessed with organization and planning, I love the idea that love is the one exception to that. Love is the one wild card.”

 More casting has been announced for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN. The major players in the Denali clan, the other “veggie” vampire group who are BFF’s of the Cullen clan, have been cast alongside Maggie Grace. Mia Maestro (best known for her role in ALIAS), Myanna Buring and Casey LaBow round out the cast that includes: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Dakota Fanning and Anna Kendrick. Part 1 of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN hits theaters November 18, 2011 and Part 2 will be released November 16, 2012. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of anymore major characters from the Twilight-verse that have yet to be cast. I suppose director Bill Condon may bring in some big names to play the Amazon vampires, the Irish coven or the Nomads but it looks as though he’s sticking to no name actors for the most part.  Antonique Smith has joined the cast of Lionsgate’s thriller “Abduction.” Taylor Lautner stars as a young man who discovers his baby photo on a missing children’s website and sets out to uncover the truth about his life. Smith will play a CIA agent who’s partnered with Alfred Molina. Together, the duo seek to protect Lautner as he gets closer to the truth. Smith is best known for playing singer Faith Evans in last year’s rapper drama “Notorious.” She landed on Hollywood’s radar on the strength of her performance as Mimi Marquez in a Broadway production of “Rent.” Smith next stars alongside Gabourey Sidibe, Zoe Kravitz and Tim Blake Nelson in Victoria Mahoney’s indie film “Yelling to the Sky,” which will be released sometime next year. James Franco recently spoke to MTV, and while discussing “The Tent Scene” in Eclipse, the actor drew a comparison between Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner’s characters in that sequence with the Oscar-winning, gay-themed cowboy film, Brokeback Mountain.
